Continuing from my old "WOF"-related artwork thread with some new drawings I've done recently, combining "WOF" and "Super Mario Bros" together with Mario as Pat Sajak & Princess Peach as Vanna White as well as adding in a couple more "Mario" characters as I'm currently working on some new material...
^As I like to be creative, story behind this drawing takes place in 1984 and I like to call this a publicity photo of Mario & Princess Peach (as Pat & Vanna) in front of the wheel with my own color scheme.
^again in 1984: Princess Peach, a vision in lavender, gesturing in front of my version of the puzzle board as the board reads "WHEEL OF TREASURE" (I used metallic green colored pencils for the unused trilons & a purple one to color Princess Peach's shoes. I also colored the board's steps blue instead of green & blinking lights at the bottom and dark brown streaks on the border to make the chasing light sequence and added in the "dummy" trilons at the opposite ends of the board)
^In my creative mind, the story behind this drawing takes place in 1986. Princess Peach (as Vanna) posing on set in front of my very of the (yellow) "Sunburst" backdrops (more like Sunflower backdrops) complete with a silver (metallic colored pencil) lining surrounding the contestant podium colors.

 ^This is Princess Daisy, you may remember her as the damsel in distress in the 1989 Nintendo Game Boy game "Super Mario Land". Story behind the drawing takes place in 1993, Princess Peach is on (her 2nd) maternity leave,about to give birth to her second child (gave birth to a daughter, Belle, in 1991) and "Wheel" is auditioning guest hostesses/prize models to take her place at the puzzle board. Each guest hostess granted a one week audition is photographed on the set prior to making their on-screen debut. |

 ^1986: Mario & Princess Peach in the center of the wheel (my own wheel color template) as it spins (like the closings of the "WOF" shows during the NBC years). I just simply like to call this drawing a "Wheel" promo for the CBS-LA affiliate station in Los Angeles ("Wheel of Treasure", weekdays at 3pm on CBS-LA). |

 ^On the real "WOF", Vanna poses in pictures wearing various outfits all around the set, here's one that I've just completed of my own. Story takes place in April 1996, Princess Peach poses on set and smiles for the camera in a beautiful outfit. Remember the old "Sports Ticket Package" prop we saw on the show back in the late 80's, but NEVER played for in the Bonus Round (Daytona 500, Kentucky Derby, Masters Golf, etc)? That was one of my favorite prize props |
