Hi! For all those who have played was the estimated time for receiving your check accurate? Granted I am not receiving much Lola but. Im in the process of doing taxes and normally I finish pretty early in thecyear. Mine is due march 24 so Im not sure if I should wait or file first. Im a bit of an idiot when it comes to filing so pardon my confusion! Thanks everyone happy new year!!!

The 120 day time period they quoted you is pretty accurate. My check arrived pretty dead-on Day 120 after the airdate.

I would think that if you are receiving the check in 2017 then you can file it on your taxes next year. Not an expert, just my opinion. I know you won it in 2016, but you're not receiving the money until 2017 so I think that would be okay.

I received my Beef Bucks a week after airing...haven't gotten anything else yet. You won't have to pay taxes on anything you didn't receive in 2016. It will show up on next year's taxes. I am planning on putting anything I get back this year towards next year's taxes to help cover.

I know you won it in 2016, but you're not receiving the money until 2017 so I think that would be okay. I'm reasonably sure this is correct, and I speak from personal experience. You're taxed on your winnings in the year you actually receive them. Case in point: I was on The Price is Right back in January 2010, but the show taped in November of '09. My winnings counted towards my taxable income for fiscal year 2010, since that's when I actually got them.
