So Wheel 2000 penalized contestants who repeated letters in the Bonus Round by quietly treating it as a wasted pick? Harsh...

Remember that this is the same show that refused to tell you what you were playing for in the bonus round if you didn't win it, so I'm not surprised one bit.

Definitely a later taping, given the red-on-yellow bonus envelopes. As for the Bonus Round...yeah, Robert nailed it, though at least it didn't affect the outcome. Remember that this is the same show that refused to tell you what you were playing for in the bonus round if you didn't win it, so I'm not surprised one bit. And had broken rules for the house minimum, where you got bumped up to 500 only if you solved for less than 250. And could have games end after Round 2, meaning the third player might not even get a turn. I get having to alter things for kids, but why did Sternberg think that arbitrarily making the core gameplay harder for them (see also: Jep!) would be a good idea?

Definitely a later taping, given the red-on-yellow bonus envelopes. As for that Bonus Round, I never thought I'd see someone get penalized for accidentally repeating one of RSTLNE, but at least he solved it. Remember that this is the same show that refused to tell you what you were playing for in the bonus round if you didn't win it, so I'm not surprised one bit. And had broken rules for the house minimum, where you got bumped up to 500 if you solved for less than 250. And could have games end after Round 2, meaning the third player might not even get a turn. So yeah, it fits with Sternberg's idea of arbitrarily making the core gameplay harder for kids (see also: Jep!), but then again he's always kinda sucked at doing game shows. Well, you kinda half-right, there is another episode available in the trading circuit where the main game ended after only 2 puzzles meaning the right most player might not get to start the next round, the difference though is no Round 2 stunt fiasco but they've not yet added in the corresponding color bulbs in front of the players. Of all the stunts the show used, the only stunt to ever use any slime at all was Monster Heads but they were also protected with rubber gloves and apron. Yeah, Sternberg didn't like to have kids leaving the show(nor Jep!) messy either. With Jep!, players were informed to have all responses strictly phrased in question form(same with Rock & Roll J!). This all explained why this and Jep! have only combined to produce 44 episodes(22 episodes each) and were in reruns form for years to come along with taking the reruns elsewhere(like Discovery Kids for example) and were never renewed at any point.
