Eight years ago on this day, the Wheel of Fortune Lovers (now Buy a Vowel Boards) boards were created. A little idea started slow but quickly progressed into a hub of information for contestants, historians, fans, and the like. And we couldn't have done it all without you.
As some of you may have noticed, I have returned to my original role as director of the site (along with Scott). Early on, I wanted to make my return be big, like huge, so suddenly an idea came to me.
I made a puzzle compendium over five years ago now, and it was quite a project to undertake. But over the last year, it sort of became forgotten. So therealcu2010 and I revived an old idea that we once had to bring the compendium over to ProBoard's hosting.
Three years after that idea, we have finally made that a reality.
The Wheel of Fortune Puzzle Compendium is now live on Buy a Vowel Boards. A link is available at the bottom of the page, or here for your convenience.
Unfortunately, other than initial pushes to make it look nice, I will no longer be running it. I have given off the compendium to notable user trisspinner to take on, and he's done a great job doing so. Everyone wish him the best as he takes on sorting through so many puzzles that we haven't even finished the recount yet!
We are also opening up a section where you can submit puzzles to be added to the compendium, along with any other updates, edits that need to be made, or even suggestions to make the site look better. Tris will have an introductory thread in there shortly.
We also are thrilled to announced that, coincidentally, our signature Daily Puzzle Game will reach its 1,000th regular season puzzle tomorrow. We are grateful for all the support from the hosts and players, past and present, that we have made it this far, and here's to the next 1,000!
