I seem to remember an episode where there were 7 rounds (not including toss-ups, of course). Is this the record?

Notably, the previous season had two of these games.
One in Season 33 says that there was a 7-round game with longer puzzles, and they may have gotten lucky on the letters. The Prize Puzzle for that one seems like an easy no-letter (I'M SITTIN' ON THE DOCK OF THE BAY).

^ 10/9/15 and 12/23/15. Both games had fairly short puzzles and few penalty hits.
There have been two other confirmed 7-rounders in the Toss-Up era: 3/19/02 and 9/22/05. I remember the latter having a really quick solve on DAVID ARQUETTE & COURTENEY COX.

And purportedly there was one in the Goen era (game ended as a tie after six rounds, seventh was a tiebreaker Speed-Up).

A seven round maingame occurred in the 1989-90 season of the nighttime version, the seventh puzzle going from 27 year old memory was CIvil Rights Leader. It would have reaired on GSN circa 2001, when they were rerunning that season(the first seven months of it aired on weekdays, but the last two months of it aired on weekends only circa mid 2001-early 2002)

I seem to recall seeing 3/19/02 on the weekend reruns in 2003. If I remember correctly, the Speed-up was HAIR CARE. At the least, I remember that puzzle coming at the end of a very very very long game.

There was one 7-round episode I remember from 2003-2004, with one contestant dominating and solving most of the puzzles very quickly, almost but not quite solving every puzzle. Don't remember the date, but I do remember the Round 6 puzzle was PURPLE PEOPLE EATER. It was also rerun on a Saturday around May 2005.
