Hello, everyone. My name is acwof. I am new here to the buyavowel forum.
I have a question that I want to ask everyone here regarding the online contestant application as a means of auditioning for the Wheel of Fortune game show.
On the Wheel of Fortune website, you can fill out an online contestant application, and submit a one minute video describing yourself with the application as a way of auditioning for the game show.
For those of you who were selected to be on the show using the online application, how does auditioning for the show using the online application work?
What I mean by that is what happens after you submit the application? How do you get contacted to move forward with the audition process? How long does it usually take to get contacted after submitting the application?
I apologize for asking a lot of questions, but I am just curious and confused as to how the online application audition process works. I am thinking about submitting an online application so as to hopefully get selected to be on the show, and I just want to make sure I understand and know what to do, and what to expect before I submit the online application.
Thank you in advance.

Hi!
I got my audition via a wheelmobile event (still waiting for a tape date), but I think I can answer some of your questions.
The process basically looks like this: You submit your application. If they like it/you enough you will be contacted for a final audition. Here is the kicker (someone correct me if I'm wrong): final auditions only happen at certain places/cities, therefore if you are not close to a certain city that they are planning a final audition, I'm not sure if you will be contacted. That's why going to a wheelmobile event is a better bet (or submitting an online application around the same time the wheelmobile event is heading to a city near you).
Final auditions are the same for the wheelmobile/online applicants (they are one-in-the-same), and you can read about it on a separate post.
I'd say, overall, you would have a much better chance attending a wheelmobile event...but again, I could be wrong.
