How do you convince someone that WOF isn't rigged?
I have someone in my family that's set on believing that the show is rigged. I try my best to explain to them about S&P and all that good stuff but they still think it's rigged.
Should I just give up and laugh at them or should I keep trying to convince them. What other proof could I use?
It just gets on my nerves and drives my blood pressure up.

Use 21 and the 64,000 question the 50s/60s as examples of actual rigging (and i agree, people need to realize that we moved past the point i just mentioned)

There's just no convincing people. I say just let them think what they want, or tell them to try to get on the show and find out for themselves.

yea, that's one of my FEW game show pet peeves (especially on daytime fare, i'd expect it from like NBC's Wall show) edit: and i kinda blame story based "reality" tv for the mentality

Oh, and they also say it's also rigged because "black people" always win.
Please don't judge me for this idiotic remark. I wasn't going to say it but I wanted the whole story to be told.
I wish I had better people to play WOF with. Sometimes I feel like all the hard work I've put into building my set has just went to waste because they don't appreciate it. I may just speak my mind next time and do some major pissin' off.
I love this person unconditionally because they're family but their way of thinking is unpardonable.

Oh, and they also say it's also rigged because "black people" always win. My week had two black contestants and they both walked away with the pity thousand. Sadly, they're not the only person to think that...

Oh, and they also say it's also rigged because "black people" always win. I'm curious as to what else this relative thinks about African-Americans, if they're connecting "black people always win" to " Wheel is rigged". If it's anything like this borderline-racist crap, and especially if racial slurs are involved, I say they need to be taken down a peg. Please don't judge me for this idiotic remark. I wasn't going to say it but I wanted the whole story to be told. I think everybody here knows better than to judge you for something someone else said. I may just speak my mind next time and do some major pissin' off. Honestly, sometimes people need a calling out/verbal takedown, especially if this isn't your only grievance against this relative. I wish I had better people to play WOF with. Sometimes I feel like all the hard work I've put into building my set has just went to waste because they don't appreciate it. Trust me, a lot of people have felt like this over their accomplishments or creations. I've felt this way plenty of times about the stories I've written, to give a personal example. Don't let it get you down.

WarioSajak yes, they are racist (of course they'd say they weren't) and it turns my stomach but I still love them because they're family. As my mama always says, "kill 'em with kindness".

Point out that the production company was hacked quite recently, and if any evidence of rigging was found the show would be off the air and people would be in jail.

^Definitely! Not only would Wheel (and possibly Jeopardy! as well) be forced off the air and staffers be put in prison, but the news media would be obsessively harping on the story of rigging for months on end, considering how long-established Wheel and Jeopardy! have been in the broadcast television industry.

I wish I had better people to play WOF with. Sometimes I feel like all the hard work I've put into building my set has just went to waste because they don't appreciate it. Only share your gifts with those who appreciate them. I have a game group that meets about once a month ONLY because they like Wheel and/or Jeopardy.
