You know how sometimes the producers of Wheel of Fortune offer expensive trips on Prize Puzzles( & sometimes on the wheel) on certain weeks such as Family Week & Teen Best Friends Week. I was wondering why are some people opposed to the idea of the producers offering expensive trips on those certain weeks of Wheel of Fortune? I'm not saying you're wrong to feel that way as you're entitled to your opinion. But personally I think offering expensive trips on Prize Puzzles( & sometimes on the wheel) on weeks such as Family Week & Teen Best Friends Week are appropriate for those types of weeks. Does anybody else feel the same I do out of curiosity? Share your thoughts on your opinions of the Wheel producers offering expensive trips on certain weeks.

The reason that I don't care for them having stupidly-expensive trips is that it breaks the game even more than usual. I could easily see one team do all the work in filling in a puzzle, then hit a penalty space, then have the next team in line immediately solve and get a $10,000+ boost to their score when they did none of the work in the round. That's a severe design flaw in a game in my eyes.

That's a great question. They don't normally do that on couples' weeks (except Disney).

I assumed the higher prices for trips was because trips when there are contestant pairs are trips for 4, not for 2 like they are for solo contestants.

^ Yes, but those weren't guaranteed winnings the way Prize Puzzles are, so those are a little more forgivable.

I think the reason why Prize Puzzles are sometimes more expensive than the prizes added to the wheel is because the producers usually want the Prize Puzzle to be to an exotic trip. Plus those exotic trips probably need to be more expensive in weeks such as Family Week and Teen Best Friends Week for certain reasons. But like I said I personally don't mind the producers offering expensive trips on Prize Puzzles & I'm sure anyone who opposes the producers doing this wouldn't mind if they or one of their friends won an expensive trip from a Prize Puzzle on Wheel of Fortune if either them or one of their friends was on the show.
