I've got a handful of fun games. However, I don't want to pay extra to play against others online in Wheel. You have to pay extra on the other consoles to play online. That plus the fact that nobody is ever online anyway is one reason to just ignore the online portion of the game.

And anyway, we're just assuming the Switch version will support online at all. Nintendo ports of multiplatform games often have online features watered down or removed entirely. Remember that the Wii U port of the Xbox 360/PS3 Wheel game, despite online being teased, was removed completely from the game.

$60 for the WOF/J! Bundle!? The Xbox One/PS4 bundle was only $40 ($20 separately for the digital download). Heck, when I got my Xbox One and the game on Black Friday last year, I was able to buy the game for only $15! That's absolutely ridiculous, especially since the Switch had to wait nearly a year to get this game. - acwof

It's the Wii U version all over again, hopefully minus having features removed...
Physical Switch games usually cost more because the cartridges are expensive. Hopefully, they will be offered digitally for the usual prices.

I spoke to someone at GameStop, and he told me they're going to have it for $40.
Now for anyone who's hesitant about buying it until someone gives them information, I'll volunteer. I love my Switch so much that I can never go a day without playing it. Besides, the Wii U, though a fun system, had some problems which may have been a factor with how its version of Wheel ended up being. The Switch incorporated many of the lessons that stemmed from the Wii U. Plus, I can imagine Ubisoft is in better financial shape than Gametek and THQ were when they released their last Wheel of Fortune games. So with all that said, we hopefully won't have to worry about the Swtich version of Wheel being anywhere as problematic.
In addition, I don't game online much, but I'll check and see if there are any online features that the game as to offer. I don't see why it would, or at least should, be another case of "Online interactions not rated by the ESRB because the game has no online features to begin with."

Wheel is currently listed on the Nintendo eShop with an estimated release date of this upcoming Tuesday, the 30th, with a price of $19.99 for the digital download. The notifications state that the game will support online play and that a Nintendo Switch Online membership (which I do have) and internet access are both required for online play.
So if you want to play online, yeah, you'll be limited to just your house or any place that has Wi-Fi, but at least you'll have a little more freedom to move about and pick an ideal spot. In addition, update patches have been released for various Switch games whether digital or physical. Plus, I don't see how or why you cannot play offline. With all that said, it's certainly starting to look like the Switch version is the most ideal version to get.
I already preordered a physical copy of the game at GameStop last week, having paid it off in full. I'll be working on Tuesday evening, but I should be able to pick up the game on my way to work. If anyone else gets the game on Tuesday and wants to share their opinions and any problems they're having with the game before I get back home, please do so. My next off day will be Thursday, but hopefully I'll be able to provide some input of my own before then.

Just downloaded the game and played a round or two. The save slots are a neat idea, not a fan of the modified toss up rules for those using one set of joycon, but it's not a bad port. You can tell the graphics were cut down a little for the switch, but that's okay. Motion controls are pointless and a little confusing at first, but at least they aren't required to play. The wild card seems to always be on the wheel and I believe the gift tag and 1/2 cars behave the same way. It is possible to win the featured prize more than once, and I have done it. To play in 1 Player mode with the joycon attached, one must remove the joycon, select the controllers, then reattach the joycon. Prize Puzzles are the same as Xbox One, and the UI is a little squished to fit the switch's smaller screen but looks just fine on it. It is possible to play the game using only the touchscreen. The 1/2 Car counts as $500 in the final spin rounds, I'm unsure about the other special spaces. No little letter circle like in 36 and the bonus minimum is 34.

They got just about everything right with the PS4/Xbox One versions in terms of rules, sounds, etc. With the Switch version, everything got completely messed up. I've started a forum post over at Ubisoft to hopefully address the issues: forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1951031-Wheel-of-Fortune-Nintendo-Switch-BugsHere's the list of problems so far; the actual Ubi forum post will be updated as I find more: When setting up the rewards in the options, sometimes you can’t see the prize wedge, and the gift tag option doesn’t move the wheel to the correct wedge so you can’t preview it. The save slots always show up as empty. Lots of sound effects and music are missing: When blue tiles are populated on the board prior to a letter being revealed, there is no ding sound. When a puzzle is solved, there is no puzzle solve cue/sound effect; for both toss up puzzles as well as regular puzzles. When you land on the half car gift tag, no car horn is heard. Also there are half car wedges on the wheel for round 1 and there shouldn’t be (only round 2 and 3). There is severe artifacting that occurs on the prize wedge and gift tags on the wheel at random times, though it seems to happen more when the switch is in tablet mode and not docked. If you pick up the prize wedge during the round, it shows the cruise ship wedge underneath. It should be a purple $500 wedge, and the prize wedge should never return to the wheel once it’s picked up. Same rules should apply to everything that is picked up off the wheel; it never gets returned, except for the 1/2 car wedges which are replenished. When the final spin graphic occurs, there is no bell heard to signal this, and during the round there is no speed up music. It’s just silence? Which is odd because this same music is played during the bonus round. During the final spin by the host, almost all of the special wedges and gift tags appear to stay present on the wheel. When the bonus puzzle loads onto the puzzle board, there should be no introduction noise, the bonus puzzle should load without the iconic “dingdingdingding” sound effect. If the bonus puzzle is solved, a music cue is supposed to play signaling a solved puzzle that is not present. If the bonus puzzle is not solved, a different music cue is supposed to play which is also not present. FYI these are compared to just the ps4 and Xbox versions and what they already have, so these are truly missing assets that are already present in the other versions.

See you Ninja'd me, I reviewed based on my quiet handheld playthrough in my loud living room, taking it to docked mode where I could notice everything was when I did. One thing about the save states, those are just for one game, so if you leave during the middle of one, you can pick it up from where you left off.

Good luck Switch players. You can go back through this thread and see the issues the other systems have had (I have it on PS4). Although they've fixed quite a few of the buggy problems, it still has issues both with gameplay and its ability to be exploited. A specific exploit that drives me batty is people buzzing in during toss-ups when they've only figured out some of the puzzle and using the time that's supposed to be used to input letters as their personal thinking time, or (and I suspect this has been the case more often than not) to use the internet to figure it out. Those people will also do the same thing during the speed up round. It has made it discouraging for me to continue playing because it was so rare to find people online who will play a fair game.

I've been getting problems with customizing the Wheel myself. I'm also a bit disappointed with the absence of some of the music and sound effects. I love the Bonus Round win music (it's my favorite piece in the current music package), and having that absent here leaves me not feeling as excited. In fact, I just won $100,000 in the Bonus Round on my second game (I have a screenshot to prove it), but I'm not feeling as much satisfaction. Having the wedges stay on the Wheel during gameplay was a bit irritating and distracting, but I was left wondering how the Toss-Ups worked when sharing one system or controller, an option that I think I was forced to do, but I soon figured how that worked. For that, all Toss-Ups are worth $2000. You're given like three seconds to solve, then play moves to the next player, then the third, then back to the first, and so on until the puzzle is solved or all the letters are revealed. My biggest problem is that I have to choose the one system/controller option as I have no additional controllers. Hopefully, they can iron that out.
I was also left frightened by the rumble whenever the Wheel spins. It's way too strong and way too long. I thought something in my system could burst at any moment. Thank goodness there's an option to turn the rumble off. Otherwise, I would've stayed away from this game until they were to release an update that would allow this feature to be disabled. Guys, I recommend you turn the rumble off and keep it off. It's not worth risking blowing your system over.
Overall, many improvements can certainly be made, but all the same, it could've been worse.

My biggest problem is that I have to choose the one system/controller option as I have no additional controllers. Hopefully, they can iron that out. What I did you get around that was slide the controllers out from the switch, put the one set of controllers in the first box, and just hit continue then put the controllers back in the switch.

The Switch version does have online play and leaderboards, right? Do the menu options just disappear if the Switch is offline? (Notice the beginning of the video suggests no connection)
There are no issues in this gameplay with the cardboard being on in the wrong rounds. Again, maybe an offline-only thing?
Looks like the game also supports the Switch Pro Controller.

If you start a new game after finishing one, the problem appears to be compounded somehow and is then carried into the new game’s rounds. Somewhat related, if I picked up a wild card during any game, the game thinks I have it in all future games during the bonus round. They made a change to how the flippers work in the update that was released making it version 1.0.1.. if the flipper is “stuck” to one of the pins, it thinks you are on a different wedge on the wheel. For example, land on the blue $700 and if it’s touching the pin that is shared with the lose a turn wedge, it will register as lose a turn even though you’re clearly on the $700 wedge. I landed on the million and it registered as bankrupt. There’s so many issues, it’s hard to keep track.
