Wheel might be going on the road again for the first time in three years.
An anonymous source was shown the full taping schedule for Season 35. They refused to share it directly in order to protect the person who showed it, but they did list all the tape dates that it showed along with the following bit of key information:
Three taping days in October, specifically, Tuesday-Thursday October 10-12, are labeled "WDW/Orlando". The rest of the tape dates do not have any such labels, nor does it mention any themes. These three dates are the only tapings in October, according to this schedule. The last two Culver City taping days before this are on September 25 and 26, which fall on a Monday and Tuesday instead of the usual Thursday and Friday. After this, taping does not resume until November 9. The entire schedule lists a total of 34 taping days as per every season.
This heavily suggests that the October tapings will be for three weeks of shows taped at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. At least one Disney week has already been confirmed for Season 35. Wheel last taped at Disney World in Season 12, last taped in Orlando in Season 26 at SeaWorld, and last taped on location at all in Season 32 in Hawaii. According to leaked Emails, the show had plans to tape three weeks of Season 33 shows at Navy Pier in Chicago from October 16-18, 2015, but this never happened.
Expect official news on this to be announced soon.

I would have thought so, too, but the way it was described to me how it was laid on the schedule heavily suggested otherwise, plus the previous tapings being on Monday and Tuesday gives them more time to prepare for the move.
The short notice and still no public announcement yet does still raise a red flag. I also considered that this might just be for Pat & Vanna shoots in WDW, but combined with the other listed tape dates, they are definitely tapings for actual episodes.

It sure would be nice. I also remember hearing from an unknown source that they would be taping in NYC as well. So maybe for the first time in awhile, they'll do two remote locations.

Like Mario said, the way it's labeled on a taping schedule, with no other theme weeks mentioned, makes this credible enough to post. Hopefully it's true - while they were there in 2009, it's a better repeat location than Vegas.

Picture looks official...  Nothing on Wheel or WFTV's sites yet, and I find it odd that tickets are supposedly "sold out" already when there wasn't even any public mention about the tapings until now. |

Whoops. I overlooked smashwhammy's post and by the time I realized it, it was too late to delete it. Sorry about that, guys. Even so, I have just researched Chip and Company's site and YouTube channel, and they certainly seem to be official. In addition, since it was just brought up on Chip and Company's page within the last few hours, I'm expecting Wheel's site and social media pages to bring this up within the week.

I have no idea how people got to sign up for tickets when there was nothing online about it in the first place. For past remotes, you had to print out a form posted on the local affiliate's site, fill it out, and send it along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Wheel's office. Envelopes were randomly picked and you would either get sent back your tickets or a note saying you weren't so lucky. Thanks to eybyon for the above tip, and another tip courtesy of kevin : final auditions were held in Orlando yesterday, and people were told that they could be selected as alternates for the Disney World shows. http://instagram.com/p/BZRDEavgWBA Seems this is really happening. I have a friend who auditioned /received the letter with me who is deathly afraid of flying...I've been telling her this could be here "get out of flying" ticket haha.

I would not be at all surprised to see them pull Florida (and other east coast) folks from the contestant pool who received a letter some time ago for these tapings. I would expect e-mail notifications to contestants for the WDW tapings to go out Wednesday the 27th or Thursday the 28th. One of these weeks will almost assuredly be a couples week, possibly 2 of the 3. Fingers crossed that you'll receive word soon!  |

Just stayed a mile from Main Gate when I evacuated from Irma....It was like $49 a night...and was a 3 star..Not too shabby! 😃 |

Just Noticed this but when I was there on the 13th they also confirmed that they'd be heading to Walt Disney World and were even starting to do some of the promo videos for it as well So exciting times ahead for Central Florida! |

Great! So it's pretty much confirmed now.
Still, it's really odd that Wheel is trying to keep this so under wraps to the public. Some previous remotes were first announced over a year in advance. Contestants for the tapings have been notified, but supposedly are not allowed to say what their themes are.
