Note: If this is not the appropriate place to put a thread like this, please let me know in a PM, and move it to the appropriate location.
Hello, everyone. This is acwof, who does the recaps of the Wheel of Fortune episodes.
I have currently been composing recaps for Season 35 episodes of Wheel of Fortune for six weeks now. I have started doing this ever since Season 35 commenced back on September 11th.
Since I have been composing recaps for a little while, I thought it would be interesting to hear from some fellow peers as to how well I am doing at composing the recaps. In other words, I would like some reviews and feedback about me composing recaps.
What do you like about the recaps? What do you not like? How can I improve? How well am I doing overall?
Note: If you're going to give me feedback, please keep it to a constructive and appropriate level. Any flaming, negativity, profanity, etc. will not be tolerated, and such feedback will be removed.
Happy Reviewing! I look forward to hearing your feedback!

I think you're doing great!
My only tip would be to space out your puzzles more...
Example...
Do this: _ _ M _ A _T _ A R
Instead of this: _ _ M_A_T _AR

I also think you’re doing great! My tip is to add a little more information, such as how much was lost to BANKRUPT or unclaimed.

Looking good to me. My only thing is that the posts seem to be later than it use to be. However, this could be a time-zone thing so I understand. Plus, you volunteer your time so I can understand you have other responsibilities that come first.

^Yeah, that's why I had to give up doing recaps...responsibilities.

Overall, I think you're doing a great job! If I had to give you some tips... - I notice you start recap threads as placeholders with "COMING SOON" and then you add info as the evening progresses. If you can help it, I recommend typing everything externally, such as in Notepad or MS Word with the raw BBcode such as: [font color="red"]$800[/font] ...and then copying it all into a new thread when you're ready to post it. If you do this, just make sure that no actual information goes up before 8 PM Eastern. Placeholders can still be posted at any earlier time. - The spacing between lines could be a little more compact. I don't know if this is beyond your control since I know ProBoards has a habit of adding extra line breaks. - I know you probably do this already since I mentioned it before, but watch the show with closed captioning turned on so you get correct spelling of the contestants' last names and a transcription of any missolves or comments that might sound a bit off. - In the Bonus Round, instead of simply putting "She cannot solve [ANSWER]", be sure to note all attempts at guessing, even if nonsensical or if it's just muttering. Basically, if it shows up in the closed captioning, it should be noted in the recap as a wrong guess. - If you can spot a null cycle, or if someone else spots one later on in the recap's comments, make note of it and when it happened. Especially be sure to note when it happens in Speed-Up whenever the camera cuts to a full shot of Pat. - Try to note when a Final Spin landing on Bankrupt, Lose a Turn, or Free Play is edited out. - As genius said, past recappers would traditionally end each round with a summary of wrong letters called, Bankrupt hits and what was lost to them, Lose a Turn hits, and the unclaimed banks of the two losers of that round. If a null cycle was evident, be sure to emphasize "aired". I recommend checking out recaps from Seasons 32 and 33 for some style tips. But otherwise, you're doing great!
