Hey all! I attended the Wheel final auditions in Milwaukee earlier today and I thought I did really well, except that I didn't make it through the first cut. The only problem I had during the audition was when I called my first letter before everyone stopped clapping and the contestant coordinators had to ask me to repeat. Other than that, I was able to solve two puzzles in a much louder voice than I normally have (got a cool Vanna pic and baseball hat) and got 14-15 out of 16 right on the written test. The thing that worries me the most is that I wasn't called up onstage at the Wheelmobile I went to in Oak Creek and the video application I submitted was months ago, so I thought they would need to interview me to make sure I could form two sentences together. I hate to be pessimistic since I really want to get on the show, but....should I be worried?

Not being asked to stay after the test can be a good thing now, especially seeing that you got at least 14 right on the test. I'd say things look pretty good for you, provided you didn't make any bad mistakes when you played.

People who aren’t asked to stay after the test either did really well or not well at all, and based on what you have written, you did well. Keep an eye out for that letter!

We also attended the final auditions on Thursday. The experience was unbelievable, fast, and completed before we knew it..it was a dream come true to be able to even audition.

Lucky you! That sounds like you did well on a ton of levels. The items you see as flaws I see as successes. Let's go in order: You named your letter before they stopped clapping. Well, that means you made a quick decision, which is only a good thing! It's not like you were asked to repeat for a lack of clarity. Vanna pic is a good sign too, as personally, I believe they view that as symbolic of someone they really like, just to see which route they'll go, to get a further reaction, catch them in the unexpected when they are told they get both after the 'choice'. Your test score is good! It's old info, but I've heard from someone that 8-9 minimum is good for passing, although it's by no means absolute in either way, as someone who has scored 12+ on both tests, no letter. Contrastingly, we've had members who have made it on with a 6! Als, the cut time doesn't mean nearly as much now. Being let go after the first cut just means they've made a decision, either way, be that yes or no, as opposed to an absolute no that this used to be. If you are asked to stay past the first cut, it just means they aren't sure one way or another about you, need to see more play, enthusiasm, knowledge of rules, etc. Wheelmobile or lack thereof is typically disregarded once you are at the audition stage. This genuinely shouldn't be a worry. If I were you, I'd be worried, sure, but to make sure you can get off work for a flight, trip, and taping out in LA. Well done! This sounds like, and I say this with 100% sincerity, the best audition across the board, and goodness knows I've read a lot of these things. High quiz score, loud voice, good energy, AND got the coveted Vanna photo. Here's hoping to hear about your letter in 10 or so days!

Thanks all for the encouraging words! I'm trying to be patient, but I have been pretty anxious the past couple of days. Fingers crossed and happy Thanksgiving!

I was also at the Milwaukee auditions. I think I did pretty well at the wheelmobile event, had an interesting story and solved the puzzle pretty quickly but don’t feel I stuck out all that much at the second audition. I chose smart letters overall but didn’t solve one of the puzzles when I should have and they gave me the bankrupt to allow someone else to play. I think I got 10/16 on the test and am just hoping for a letter knowing it could go either way. Keep us posted if you get one!

^ Don’t be too heartbroken if letters don’t arrive exactly today. With the holidays they can take longer.

^ Don’t be too heartbroken if letters don’t arrive exactly today. With the holidays they can take longer. I was thinking the same thing with Thanksgiving, letter may have not been sent until early this week so we might have to wait for a few more days! I hope not though because the last two weeks have felt like two months! My family was wondering why I was gobbling down so much food on Thanksgiving (it was the stress, haha!). Good luck to everyone that auditioned in Milwaukee. The morning group was strong!

Has anyone received a letter? I’m so anxious waiting and just want to know one way or the other! Please post if you received one and were at the Milwaukee auditions! Thank you!

^ Throw out the week of the 20th because of Thanksgiving, the following week were tape days. Letters probably went out this week. I would hold out hope through December 15th.

^ They did pull contestants out of Milwaukee - two couples - and both have already taped their episodes. They'll appear on Disney Sea and Shore week Jan 8th-12th. Those people were needed urgently given they taped only a couple weeks after the audition, so not indicative of letters passing you by.
Hang in there for at least a few more days.

Keep the faith! You never know... I basically threw in the towel once the 3rd week came and went but 3.5 weeks later, the letter showed up!

Wow, you had to wait almost 2 months for your letter to arrive? I bet you were really surprised! Haha! I wish I would have struggled more with the game play and test at the audition, since now I'm left feeling like they didn't like me (and don't have a better excuse). Haha!
