Wheel has a habit of taking supposed compound words and splitting them into two words, or taking two-word terms and combining them into one.
These are all the examples I can find in terms of words that are commonly written the way opposite how they were written on Wheel:
MILK SHAKE FOG HORN CLIFF HANGER PUMPKINSEEDS SKETCHPAD
The following terms are listed as two words on Merriam-Webster, but as one on Wikipedia (if applicable), and are commonly written as one:
RAIN FOREST KEY CHAIN CORN BREAD CRAB APPLE
Listed as one word on M-W, two on Wikipedia:
PINECONES
Any other examples? I'm not counting HOME PAGE because both M-W and Wiki have it as two and Google searches show both one and two-word results.

I sometimes see MEATLOAF separated, but most of the time it’s referring to the singer.

^ The compendium actually has no record of MEATLOAF ever being used as one word, but one use as two words: TURKEY MEAT LOAF in 2005.
MEAT LOAF the food is two words on M-W, but one on Wikipedia and pretty much anywhere else.
Found some other examples:
TEAKETTLE (two words on M-W and Wiki) HOBBYHORSE (one on M-W, two on Wiki) WATER SLIDE (one on M-W, two on Wiki)

Only time I've ever seen MEATLOAF as two words is in reference to Michael Aday.

FISH BOWL has been used twice in the Bonus Round - in 1991 and 1998. M-W and most other sources list it as one word.

The puzzle for the first ever $100,000 loss was FISHPOND. M-W lists that as one word and Wiki lists it as both one and two, but primarily uses it as two.

Another debatable word showed up tonight: KNICKKNACK. M-W has it as one, Wiki has it as two, Google seems split on one word and as a hyphenated word.

SOUPSPOON
M-W has this as one word, everyone else uses it as two.

JOY RIDE. Never seen this written as two words before, although it was the title of a 2001 film.

VOICEMAIL
Merriam-Webster lists as two words, but every other source writes it as one. In 1997, Wheel did it as two words, but it appeared as one word on CWOF in 2021.
