I'm a fairly avid coin collector, having done so from an early age. The other day, my friend handed me a jar full of old coins--his great-grandfather collected for many years, and my friend only realized he had it when he was packing up his stuff for a move. He gave me the whole collection, knowing that his great-grandfather would be happy to know it went to someone who valued it. So, rather reluctantly, I took it.
The oldest coin I've found so far is a 20 rappen Swiss coin from 1850.

Whoa, you got a Collector's Edition of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory? Cool! I didn't know those existed, probably because there are only four other copies of this edition that exist!  Well, I didn't get much, but I was still satisfied with what I did get. I got to go to Christmas Evening Mass, something I always love doing. I got a gift from one of my co-workers. It was a stocking full of candy and money. My mother got me one of those Pac-Man LCD games. It's a fun little game to play. She also got me a Comfort Click belt, something I've been thinking about getting for months, along with a bunch of work socks. Then my parents got my brother and me a Playstation VR! GameStop had this deal - pardon me, STEAL!! - going on where you could get a $400 VR bundle (which had the VR headset, a Playstation Camera, and the Standard Edition of Gran Turismo Sport) for just $200! I asked my mother to take advantage of this and she obliged. Now the Wheel of Fortune game for the PS4 doesn't have any VR features, but you can still play it with the VR headset on. |

The collector's edition that I received is a 40th anniversary collector's edition that was released back in 2011 (The movie came out in 1971). There were only 100,000 copies of the collector's edition made, so I'm sure there is at least one more copy floating out there somewhere. -acwof |

Only two items this year, but both great:
* The Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy! combo for PS4 (GameStop had new copies on sale for $20; would've cost over $30 at Toys R Us, which is where my brother had planned to get it the next day)
* Quizmaster: The Life and Times and Fun and Games of Bill Cullen (the first of several game show host biographies written by Adam Nedeff; highly recommended)
