NBC has special programming on New Year's Day 1/1 from 11AM-4:30PM EST(TOurnament of Roses Parade, hockey), and ABC has special programming from 11AM-6PM EST(ROse Parade, Citrus Bowl, two episodes of Mom). Ergo, J! or WOF will be preempted where it airs during those times on ABC or NBC stations, though J! would be affected more often than WOF given the times in question. CBS and Fox have no special programming scheduled on 1/1

ABC's national pre-emption ends at 4:30 Eastern, not 6:00. J! is still airing on Chicago's WLS at its usual time of 3:30 Central right after the game.
This will not be affecting Wheel anywhere, because it only airs at 7:00 or 7:30 ET/PT and 6:30 CT/MT on the main four networks (6:00 is taken by local news in many CT/MT markets hence why J! airs earlier in most of them). The only stations that air Wheel outside of those timeslots are KTVK, an independent station in Phoenix that airs it at 7:00 PM MT as part of primetime, and CJON (branded NTV), an independent Canadian station that airs it at 5:00 PM Newfoundland time or 3:30 PM ET.
Since pre-emptions are happening a lot more often this season, I'll be making a new unified thread in the Tonight on WOF... section for any future pre-emption alerts since they're now flooding this section.
Pre-emption alerts are not necessary if they're ending earlier than 7:00 Eastern because Wheel does not air earlier than that anywhere in the US.
