Funny there aren't any threads about Russia's version, but I thought I'd start it off by showing you guys an episode from 1992. It's interesting in a few ways. One, it takes place on board a cruise ship, the MS Shota Rustaveli. Two, there are two very unique values. The unique values are 790 (a value so unique that not even Australia and New Zealand are known to have used it) and 999 (which is just plain odd in several ways). |

Thank you for showing us how the show changed over the years, GreysonX . Anyway, I thought I'd share some news with everyone. A few hours ago as I type this up, I showed off my copy of the board game adaption of Russia's version over at Instagram. I actually got it from a Brooklyn-based seller who has a whole bunch of Russian toys. In fact, the seller has quite a number of copies of this game. So if anyone is interested in buying one, here's where you can get it. www.ebay.com/itm/114905532193After showing my copy off, I decided to check out the Pole Chudes hashtag just for the heck of it. Boy am I glad I did because check this out. When I saw of one of the Wheel's values, I was thinking two words. Germanname, Thanks for the link. I've seen such publications. In fact, they are all the same version, only the box changes. We sell such a board game in the game store. I'm looking for old versions of the board game, but these are very rare editions, not even photos. The other day, I just found out at Wikipedia that a licensed version known as Наше Поле Чудес (literally "Our Field of Wonders) will be premiering some time this year with host Leonid Yakubovich on 1TV.

The fact is that 'Поле Чудес' bought a 'Wheel of Fortune' license to release the programs. But the executives did not change anything in the program. Therefore, visually there are no special differences. It's a pity. I would like to see the game according to the rules of 'Wheel of Fortune'. And so many variants of the Wheel I have for the game ... Yeah, I noticed there are no noticeable changes, but it's still nice to know that after more than thirty years their version is now part of the official franchise. Besides, that may lead to something down the line. Who knows? Only time will tell.

There were several interviews and this question was answered as follows: 'there will be no changes in the program, since the people are already used to this format and we are not going to deviate from it'. It is sad. In general, I agree. Maybe someday they will change the concept. |
