It'd be interesting if they used FEE FI FO FUM as a SAME LETTER puzzle. Only 2 consonants.

It'd be interesting if they used FEE FI FO FUM as a SAME LETTER puzzle. Only 2 consonants. Probably a couple null cycles. I miss when Pat would travel on the road for contestant searches in those early days of the Wheelmobile (or its prototype). Still, its neat to see a trip/car combo in the bonus round (which would be even easier these days with the Food & Drink category), something that could still work today.

It'd be interesting if they used FEE FI FO FUM as a SAME LETTER puzzle. Only 2 consonants. Wouldn't happen. If anything, that would be used in Rounds 4+, and they stopped having Same Letter appear there after Season 30. If they did use it, though, I could see it now. Pat: Same Letter is the category for our next puzzle... [reveal chimes] And Kathleen, you start us off this round. [as Kathleen spins, the Wheel slows down in one area and jump cuts stopping in another]Pat: $600. Kathleen: ...P? Pat: There's no P, either! [buzz] Gee whiz... Richard? [Richard spins]Pat: $700. Richard: F? Pat: [sigh of relief] There we go, four F's and that's the Same Letter, so you get an extra thousand for that. The round would probably take at least a good three minutes for them to finally uncover the F's or M after they try TNSRL to no avail, and the whole round would take less than two minutes on TV.

FYI this was the last week to use the “taller” video wall behind the contestants...as you can see this one that was used from 9/21/98 - 12/11/98 is has 25 small screens (5x5). The following week they reconfigured it so it was only 4 rows tall. The shorter wall was also used in for the Las Vegas remote a few weeks earlier probably due to taping order. Guess they figured they didn’t need it to be so tall to get the appropriate shots...I remember thinking that it looked way too big when it first premiered. Since then, even despite replacing it with one large screen in Season 18, it has since stayed relatively the same size.
