JULY was a bonus puzzle in 1998 or so. As Thing no less. That one is literally impossible, given the tough letters and blatantly wrong category what exactly should the category be? Event or proper name? |

Event or proper name? I would say a specific named date should be Event. If holidays are Event, then shouldn't something like JULY or SUNDAY be likewise? |

12/4/08: COZY CAFE (random adjective, Z, and ignorance of diacritical marks...) I can see how the lack of a diacritic mark could be a throw-off, but I don't believe the show has ever put one on anything, to be fair to them (and the English habit is to ignore them in foreign words, especially informally). I do prefer to use them in my netgames, though. |

Hard bonus puzzles you say?
11/18/99: TAFFY (Reused in 4/13/05)
11/26/08: JUNEAU (The puzzle used in this time resulted in $100k loss. Before it was that, it was followed by ALASKA in Season 13.)
Besides those, any puzzle that had less than like 6 letters were considered to be hard.
