Possibly due to the pandemic, some stations have replaced Weekend Wheel with infomercials or local shows long-term: [UPDATED]- Portland, ME - WMTW - ABC
- Minneapolis, MN - WCCO - CBS
- Billings, MT - KTVQ - CBS
Butte, MT - KXLF - CBSPortland, OR - KATU - ABC- Dallas, TX - KTVT - CBS
- Boston, MA - WBZ - CBS
Harrisburg, PA - WHP - CBS
WCCO now airs Wheel at 3:30 AM Central on Sundays, the rest no longer air it at all on weekends. Updates: WMTW in Maine has once again taken Weekend Wheel off the schedule in favor of infomercials. KXLF Butte has brought back Weekend Wheel. KTVT Dallas moved Wheel to KTXA this weekend. Next weekend's rerun is not on the schedule at all, and 6/6 is scheduled to air on KTXA. Normally, repeats of KTVT's 6:00 news airs on KTXA at 6:30. WBZ Boston has Weekend Wheel scheduled to return starting 6/6.

I don't usually make note of Saturday pre-emptions unless it affects a delayed weekday episode, but last night's rerun was pre-empted in several markets, including all West Coast ABC affiliates, due to breaking news coverage of the George Floyd protests. ABC had national coverage from 9-11 PM Eastern. Fortunately, the Wheel episode was not pre-empted anywhere during its original airing.
On a different note, Dallas now has Weekend Wheel back for good, but it seems it will alternate between KTVT and KTXA. It was on the former yesterday but will be on the latter next weekend with an infomercial on the former.
Boston has pulled 6/6 Wheel and replaced it with an infomercial, but 6/13 is still on the schedule for now.
6/13 and 6/20 are still only listed as placeholders on all TV listings.

6/13 and 6/20 are still only listed as placeholders on all TV listings. The episodes have finally been revealed. June 13 is January 9, 2019 (Weekend Getaways, Day 3; Heidi Ho/Sam/Wendy). June 20 is the second episode of S36: September 11, 2018 (Teacher’s Week, Day 2; Lisa/Matt/Danielle). Both are BR losses. The last rerun with a win to date was back on May 16.

They really love picking reruns from "Big" Money week despite having no Bonus Round wins...

I think they are picking "Big Money" week episodes because that was the 7000th show week

WHP Harrisburg has gone back to airing infomercials at 7:00 PM. Weekend Wheel is now airing Saturdays at 12:00 PM Eastern for the time being. This is also the station used on USTVNow. This comes right after the end of the CBS Dream Team E/I block; almost like a callback to Wheel 2000.

Saturday Wheel returned to Boston last weekend, but it will now be airing at 12:35 AM Eastern on WBZ as infomercials remain at 7:00.

There will now be more than two months since the last rerun with a Bonus Round win. Since May 23, the following nine Saturday reruns in a row so far all ended with losses, with five of them coming from the final six weeks of Season 36 in which hardly anyone won at all. How long will this streak continue? The likely record is 14 weekends, from July 1 through September 23, 2017, including reruns from both Seasons 33 and 34.

Just seeing "Delicious Destinations" as the title for 7/25 means I don't even have to check the recap to know that the Saturday losing streak is now at least 10.

It just says Delicious Destinations? No date yet? I hope it's not 4/4/19 or 4/5/19. Those were $100K losses from that week.

Infomercial pre-emption updates:
Saturday Wheel has returned to its regular time on WMTW Portland, Maine and WBZ Boston.
KTVQ in Billings has local program "Under the Big Sky" listed in Wheel's time slot on Saturdays with no Wheel at all for the weekend, but this appears to be a mistake, as I checked this station and the other CBS Montana stations tonight and Wheel was on all of them, so Saturday Wheel has returned to KTVQ as well.
WBBH in Fort Myers, Florida (NBC) tends to pre-empt Saturday Wheel with Time Life infomercials, which are usually added to the listings at the last minute if they do air. Wheel did not air last Saturday, but did air tonight.
WHP Harrisburg has once again moved Wheel. Up until last weekend, after a few weekends of not airing at all, it aired Saturday afternoons at 12:00 PM Eastern. Starting this weekend, more infomercials now air at 12:00 and Wheel will now be airing late Saturday nights/Sunday mornings at 2:35 AM. All the while, that other game show has been sitting pretty at 7:30 PM, unaffected.
Dallas is still airing infomercials on Wheel's usual station KTVT and moving Wheel to KTXA on Saturdays, but TV listings have Wheel listed on both stations.
WCCO Minneapolis is still bumping Wheel to 3:30 AM Central on Sundays until further notice.
WABC New York might be the newest station to be hopping on the "pre-empt Weekend Wheel with infomercials" bandwagon. Tonight's Wheel was replaced with a Time Life infomercial and was moved to its common makegood time slot of Sunday morning at 5:00 AM Eastern. Next weekend's R&R rerun is listed twice: Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 5:00 AM, so this will probably happen again next weekend. Oddly, next weekend's Jeopardy! rerun is not listed at all on WABC since it is pre-empted by a local special, even though they usually get moved to Sunday morning or afternoon. It could also be that next weekend's local special is an hour long but only listed as half an hour, which was the case back on 6/13, and that day's Wheel rerun was not known to have been made up.
...Not that any of the next few reruns are really worth watching though, TBH.

Saturday Wheel has returned to its regular time on ... WBZ Boston. It was a fluke. Wheel did air at 7:00 on 7/4, but returned to 12:35 AM on 7/11 and 18. It is listed for 7:00 on 7/25, but may change next week.

Updates:
WHP Harrisburg has moved Weekend Wheel yet again, this time back to afternoons. 8/1 aired at 12:30 PM Eastern on Saturday, and 8/15 will be the same. 8/8 will air at 12:00 since J! moves to 12:30 for that weekend only.
WCCO Minneapolis may be returning Weekend Wheel to its normal time starting 8/15, as that day's episode is listed at both 6:30 PM Central Saturday and 3:30 AM Sunday.
The move to KTXA in Dallas may be permanent. Honestly, it makes sense since KTXA is the J! affiliate there.
The rotation adds S37 episodes starting 8/15, but I will continue to use this thread until the rotation permanently moves to S37. Once we get at least three S37 reruns in a row, I will move to the S37 thread.
8/8's rerun of the S36 premiere will be pre-empted on all CBS affiliates due to the PGA Championship, which is scheduled to run until 10 PM Eastern/7 PM Pacific. Some East Coast stations like WHP will air Wheel on Saturday or Sunday afternoon before the event, but most are moving it overnight or just dropping it. Most of the West Coast is moving it to primetime on Saturday or Sunday nights, but immediately or shortly after the event (including KRQE in Albuquerque, which covers Wheel with J! when sporting events run long), although CBS will often move coverage to The Golf Channel when PGA runs too long. The S36 premiere will also be pre-empted by the NHL Stanley Cup Qualifiers game on all West Coast NBC stations. 8/8 has no MLB game on FOX, so that day's rerun will air at its normal time on the FOX stations, except for KDVR Denver due to PBC Fight Night, with Wheel moving to 8:30 PM Mountain.

8/29 is another S36 episode that will be airing for the third time: S36 E41; November 5, 2018; America's Game I 1 (set of Teacher's Week); Jim/Cassie/Tammy. It first reran on May 4, 2020.

Saturday Wheel is back to 7:00 on WHP Harrisburg. Still pre-empted with infomercials on the CBS O&O's until further notice.
Last night was not a listings error; it was indeed a Season 37 episode. This is only the second known time that a Saturday rerun was from the current season instead of the previous season. The first time was supposedly when Michelle Lowenstein's million dollar win reran the Saturday after it originally aired due to the history-making event. I recall somebody mentioning this on another game show forum back when the win first happened, but I never witnessed it myself; I never even saw the win on TV until it reran in Summer 2009.

Interestingly, there were 11 instances this season of Saturday's episode being more recent than most or all of the weekday episodes, instead of always being older.
Most NBC viewers will not be getting at least the next two Saturday shows due to NASCAR starting at 7:00 PM Eastern on 8/29 and the Kentucky Derby and NHL on 9/5. Everyone on 8/29 is fine (Jim lives in San Diego but KNSD will air Wheel at 9:00 PM), but two of the three College Week contestants won't be able to see their reappearance. Dezha is fine since she gets Wheel on CBS station WANE, but Bethany and Barton both get Wheel on NBC in their cities (WMC Memphis for Bethany, WPSD Paducah for Barton), and neither of them are airing the 9/5 episode at all.
College Football likely starts on ABC on 9/12, as the 9/12 and 9/19 reruns for Wheel and J! are not listed at all on WABC. I had to get the 9/12 info from JJ's listings for WNUV.
As of today, 9/19's listing is only a placeholder, as is every episode after the S38 premiere, so we don't know what ep is airing that day just yet.

Saturday Wheel is finally back to its normal time slot on WCCO Minneapolis. Still bumped overnight on WBZ Boston, and still moved to KTXA in Dallas (though at least it's a good fit there, since it follows Funny You Should Ask and J!). These are the only two markets that are still regularly pre-empting the reruns with infomercials. And no, we still don't know what's airing 9/19 or 26.
