KSBY - SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIAKSBY's website now has Super Tuesday coverage listed starting at 7:00, though other TV listings still have Wheel unaffected. KSBY just confirmed they will not be airing Wheel tonight even though it is listed. KSBY is currently airing yesterday's episode. Out of all the affiliates yesterday that did not air Wheel (that I have access to), this is the only one that is doing this. All the other affiliates I checked showed the proper episode for today.  If the one-day delay pattern continues, the Friday episode will air Saturday at 6:30 PM Pacific ( not 7:30; Saturday Wheel scheduling tends to vary on Pacific NBC's because of Saturday Night Live airing live at 8:30, often preceded by a rerun of Dateline NBC or another hour-long show at 7:30, thus moving Wheel a bit earlier). Of course, TV listings don't account for this; Saturday's airing is still listed as a repeat, so DVR'ers, make sure you have Saturday's airing set to record if you don't automatically record reruns. Also, speaking of yesterday's episode, all three contestants were from East Coast markets, so they were likely all affected by the election cut-ins yesterday, especially Linda, who likely watches on WLS Chicago, so she probably didn't see her interview. |

For this year's March Madness, CBS is only airing the games held from Thu 3/19-Sun 3/22 and Thu 3/26-Sun 3/29. They will not be airing the Final Four on Sat 4/4 or the championship game on Mon 4/6, the last of which conflicted with Wheel on the West Coast in previous years. Still, it means the usual last two Thursdays and Fridays of March will be pre-empted for Wheel. Full scheduling coming soon.
Also, the NFL Draft will once again be on ABC this year, and will pre-empt Wheel on Thu-Fri 4/23-24. As usual, the West Coast will be pre-empted both days and the East Coast just on Friday.

I've just heard that next Friday, WBZ is preempting Wheel yet again this time for a half-hour edition of Patriots All Access so next Friday's episode of Wheel will be airing Early Saturday at 2:07am following Your Move with Andy Stanley.

I've just heard that next Friday, WBZ is preempting Wheel yet again this time for a half-hour edition of Patriots All Access so next Friday's episode of Wheel will be airing Early Saturday at 2:07am following Your Move with Andy Stanley. You've got to be kidding me. Football season's only been over for about a month and WBZ is already bringing out the half-hour offseason editions of PAA, which of course only affect the Wheel portion of the Merv Griffin Game Show Hour... which of course gives them even more of an excuse to say, "We don't pre-empt Jeopardy! as often because it has higher ratings than Wheel of Fortune." Well, Wheel really can't get higher ratings if it only airs four a days a week but other shows air all five days. What would they talk about on PAA now, anyway? How the Pats are coping with not making it to the Super Bowl this time? Wheel needs a new affiliate in Boston, even if it means not airing on the same station as J!. WBZ has not been doing Wheel justice ever since it moved there from WSBK (formerly UPN, then independent, now MyTV) starting in Season 27. After next Friday, this will mark the 21st time in Season 37, not counting Saturdays or the Christmas rerun week, that WBZ has pre-empted Wheel for local, non-national reasons, and they have done so the most often by a landslide. KGUN - TUCSON, ARIZONA
The beginning of tonight's episode was likely interrupted due to breaking ABC News coverage discussing the presidential address, which itself ended around 9:12 PM Eastern and did not affect Wheel anywhere, but ABC continued discussion of the coronavirus situation until 9:31. Remember that Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings, so while the rest of the Mountain Time Zone saw ABC sign off at 7:31, it was 6:31 in Arizona.
KGUN is the only ABC affiliate in Arizona that carries Wheel. Wheel was not affected on its other two Arizona-based station -- KYMA in Yuma is NBC and they signed off around 6:19 Arizona Time, just before Wheel airs at 6:30, and KTVK, an independent station in Phoenix, doesn't air Wheel until 7:00.

For the second time this season, WOLO had technical difficulties that affected Wheel. According to a viewer, there was nothing but a green screen for most of Wheel's time slot. By the time this was fixed, only the Bonus Round aired.

At the 14 minute mark of my recording the speed up round started. So it was actually the speed up round it started it wasn't the bonus round

The triple toss up didn't air. Yes the speed up did start early. 7:20 is normally when the bell goes off. The bonus round had to have started at like 7:20. 7:25 is normally when it starts. At the 26 minute mark of my recording Jeopardy started so Jeopardy ended up starting 4 minutes early. I don't know if Jeopardy fully aired because I didn't record it. It probably did

[2] Since March Madness is cancelled, these three March-Madness-centric specials might not air. As of Monday, the special on WILX Lansing has been removed from all listings, so Wednesday's Wheel is back on the schedule there. The ones for WLKY Louisville and WHIO Dayton are still listed. WLKY's very likely won't be happening since there's nothing for them to "preview". |
