MONDAY 2/17: FOX (EAST COAST)The Daytona 500 was called off yesterday after 20 laps due to rain. The race will continue today starting at 4:00 PM Eastern on all FOX affiliates, and is scheduled to run until 7:30, which affects Wheel on some East Coast FOX affiliates, and puts it at risk of being pre-empted by overrun on several others, assuming they don't move it in advance. Due to the last-minute scheduling on FOX's part, no TV listings account for any alternate airings of Wheel. It is not listed at all on WSYT Syracuse, and WLUC-DT2 Marquette still has it listed at 7:30, so DVR recordings must be scheduled manually for Wheel's alternate slots tonight.

Cincinnati, don’t count on any Wheel tonight on WXIX.
FOX’s coverage ends at 7:30 at the earliest, so WXIX would have to override the network feed to show any part of Wheel. That very likely will not happen.
WLUK Green Bay also stated that Wheel will stay put at 6:30 Central, and that if they "find a time slot" to air it if it's pre-empted by overrun, they will make an announcement.

The race is halted and will be going into overtime, so no Wheel on any Eastern or Central FOX stations tonight.  (except WLUC-DT2 Marquette at 11:00) |

So far, none of the FOX's have made up Wheel, at least not the ones that always move it just after the news. WVUE New Orleans stuck with Last Man Standing instead of Jeopardy! or Wheel, and WLUK Green Bay stuck with Seinfeld. WBFF Baltimore did air Jeopardy! after the news, likely since it was moved several hours in advance because its time slot would have been pre-empted by the race regardless of whether it ran over. However, they aired Seinfeld afterwards instead of Wheel.
This is now the second time this season that Wheel has been pre-empted on FOX stations by a sporting event that was scheduled to end at 7:30/6:30 Central and overran.

As promised, WTVD Raleigh aired this week's Friday episode tonight in place of the Season 36 rerun. However, ABC News broke in for about three minutes from 7:37-7:40 for a live election update from the Nevada Caucuses. This likely cut off the end of R1 and/or the start of R2 on WTVD, but since that time usually falls during the first commercial break, not much gameplay should have been lost.

A few updates for tonight's Super Tuesday pre-emptions...
KKTV - COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO
KKTV will air Wheel at 12:37 AM Mountain. Previously, they did not have it scheduled at all.
KNSD - SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
Wheel will air on the .2 Cozi TV subchannel at its normal time, though it is still listed as The Munsters.
CBS (PACIFIC TIME ZONE)
KLAS Las Vegas, KBAK Bakersfield, and KVAL Eugene have all rescheduled Wheel to 10:30 PM (previously 9:30) due to adding local newscasts at 9:00.
KMIR - PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA
KMIR confirmed on Twitter that Wheel will air at its normal time, despite its website listing Super Tuesday coverage starting at 7:00.
KSBY - SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA
KSBY's website now has Super Tuesday coverage listed starting at 7:00, though other TV listings still have Wheel unaffected.
CBS - MONTANA
All four Montana-based CBS affiliates carrying Wheel have it listed tonight at 9:30 PM on their websites with Super Tuesday coverage ending at 9:00, but other TV listings have Super Tuesday coverage lasting until 10:00 with no Wheel.

According to KGO's website, Wheel will air at 3:00 AM Pacific, though it would actually be more like 3:05 since the encore of Tamron Hall ends at 2:35, with Jeopardy! scheduled in between. Both game shows are not listed, so one must DVR ABC World News Now for Wheel.

A few updates for tonight's Super Tuesday pre-emptions... ABC affiliates that air Wheel at 7:00 PM Eastern lost the beginning. WABC just interrupted the beginning of Jeopardy! and joined it in progress right when Alex revealed the third category in the Jeopardy! round. The part that was preempted was not moved to Localish, likely because it was only about a minute that was affected. |

The cut-ins happened on all CBS, ABC, and NBC affiliates at both 7:00 and 7:30, so the $1,000 Toss-Up was lost on all East Coast airings of Wheel tonight, except for FOX affiliates.

Last night’s episode was partially interrupted for non-political reasons in two other markets... WCNC - CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINAAccording to acwof who watches on this station, the beginning of the show was not interrupted by election updates like on most other stations, but part of Round 3 was interrupted by a “weekly test”, which blacked out some of the gameplay during that round. Wheel returned during the trip copy. KJUD - JUNEAU, ALASKAAccording to a fan in the Official WOF Facebook Group, KJUD accidentally omitted the Bonus Round of last night’s episode and only aired commercials after the Speed-Up until the end of the time slot. Since all three Alaska ABC affiliates are linked and have identical programming, this likely happened on KYUR Anchorage and KATN Fairbanks as well. |
