Two known affiliates that are pre-empting Wheel right now (besides WBZ Boston) are WWLP Springfield (NBC) and WPBF West Palm Beach (ABC).

WBZ-TV is preempting Tonight's episode of Wheel for a special State of the Commonwealth address so Wheel will be airing at 1:37am right after The Late Late Show with James Corden in place of an infomercial which is not even bad to say the least
Also, I'm really fine with the preemptions because what they really do is something I wouldn't dare to enjoy because it makes me feel like i'm getting sick of all this crap but that's what it is.

NBC’s national optional coverage ended by 7:42 Eastern. KCEN is now showing Wheel as of mid-Round 2, and WWLP is showing Jeopardy! as of towards the end of the Jeopardy! round.

Due to the shooting at the Fashion Show Mall in Vegas, most of last night’s Wheel was pre-empted by breaking news coverage. According to a fan in the Facebook group, Wheel was joined in progress around 7:38 Pacific (Round 2), Round 3 aired in the full, then KLAS cut back to news just before the Triple Toss-Up.

And naturally, KQTV goes on to air two episodes of Jeopardy! back to back even when Wheel skips a day... And they're doing it again tonight. I just contacted KQTV to see if this would be the case Friday as well and if there were any plans to make up Wheel since these specials aren't listed. Wednesday and Thursday's episodes of Wheel will not be made up at all due to their contract with Wheel limiting what times they can air it (so moving it to replace Daytime Jeopardy! or another show is not an option). Thankfully, Wheel will be back on Friday. Funny enough, the programming director himself has a SPIN ID, and advises viewers to check via the website. Man, I hope Mike Richards does something about Wheel's time slot rule or at least adds a second run. Entertainment Tonight has the same rule, but at least that show offers an "encore" airing in most markets for late night or daytime the following day. |

On a general scale, I have no idea how much longer this is going to go on for, but I doubt Wheel will be affected until the day there is another major event in all of this, probably not until the final senate vote. Remember that Wheel doesn't air any earlier than 7:00 PM Eastern in the US, and only at least twice to date have the proceedings gone that long. I've been looking at all of the Big Three networks the past few weeks and I've found that NBC definitely airs more coverage than the other two. On most days, ABC and CBS officially end their coverage at 4:00 PM Eastern, and NBC announces that stations may switch to regular programming at that time, which most do. I have not seen any sign of Wheel getting pre-empted by impeachment-related coverage or newscast delays since 1/21, nor have I seen any Central or Mountain Time Zone markets moving Jeopardy! from the afternoon to Wheel's slot, although since most of those markets air it at 4:00 Eastern/3:00 Central at the earliest, it's not affected in many markets anyway, and most of the NBC's are opting to air it over the post-4:00 coverage. |

Two updates regarding this week's political stuff...
KOMO - SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
KOMO's website has now added Friday's post-debate lineup to their website's schedule. Friday's Wheel will air at 9:00 PM Pacific, as with Tuesday. However, both 9:00 airings this week are still not listed on most TV listings.
KGO - SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
According to KGO's website, Tuesday's Wheel will be airing at 9:30 PM Pacific. Most TV listings have Wheel at 10:30. This is likely a mistake, as KGO's website tends to be more accurate than listings. Just last Saturday, listings had the Wheel rerun listed at 8:30, but the website schedule had it at 9:30, which is when it actually aired. In order to properly record Tuesday's Wheel, viewers should schedule a recording for Bless This Mess listed at 9:30 tonight.

KTVK - PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Although not listed anywhere, independent station KTVK just confirmed on Twitter that they will be carrying State of the Union. Since this station airs Wheel at 7:00 PM Mountain Time instead of the usual 6:00 or 6:30 for that time zone, Wheel will air at 2:00 AM Mountain, replacing a rebroadcast of local program Your Life Arizona.
