KTVT in Dallas announced that because of the interruption, they will re-air tonight's episode on sister station KTXA at 7:30 PM Central, replacing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Harrison reruns). This station is available on Locast.

ABC and NBC affiliates returned around 7:49. CBS and FOX did not return to programming until about 7:55, during the Bonus Round. On WDJT Milwaukee, Wheel cut in right as the solution was revealed.

Just breaking now at 7:30pm, this will affect more Wheel watchers than 8pm would have. more. Wheel airs at 7:30 PM EST in 46.41% of the US, compared to 31.19% that air it at 7:00 EST. Only 1.32% of the country airs it at 8:00 EST; four markets in the Mountain Time Zone air it at 6:00 MST, but one of those four (Salt Lake City) airs it on an independent station, so they likely wouldn't have interrupted programming regardless. Been meaning to post the full breakdown. I know that one guy on Reddit did it for both Wheel and J! a few years ago, but it's very outdated by now. |

KHON - HAWAIIThursday's Wheel was scheduled for 7:00 PM local time following NFL and news, but Wheel was partially pre-empted due to the game running long and pushing back the news. WRDE - SALISBURY, MARYLAND
This apparently happened last Monday, 12/14.
According to two Delaware residents in the Official WOF Facebook Group (the station serves most of the state), WRDE accidentally aired an original broadcast print of an episode from no later than Season 34. Both of them claimed that the episode they saw had the $3,000 Toss-Up, 1/2 Car tags, no distancing or Bonus Round category pick, and even a $5K Every Day SPIN ID! Neither of them remember any other details that could pinpoint what episode it was. Weird!

Wednesday's episode was pre-empted by a "Family Connection" special. There was no announcement about this at all, and Wheel was still listed. Wheel aired on WRDQ an hour early at 6:30 PM Eastern.
KQTV - ST. JOSEPH, MISSOURI
Thursday's Wheel is pre-empted by a Christmas mass at St. Joseph Cathedral. The episode probably won't air at all. There are two airings of Wheel listed for the weekend (Saturday at 6:30 PM and Sunday at 5:00 PM Central), but one of these is probably for Friday's episode, since that is also pre-empted by NBA on ABC.
Christmas scheduling coming soon. All ABC affiliates are pre-empted, of course (except for a few West Coast ones that are leaving Wheel at 7:30 Pacific immediately following NBA, putting it at risk of getting cut off). All East Coast FOX affiliates are also pre-empted since NFL runs until 8:00 PM Eastern. The NBA game ran over about five minutes. The West Coast stations that scheduled Wheel for 7:30 Pacific (including KOMO Seattle, which usually starts Wheel from the beginning when sports run long), joined Wheel in progress towards the end of R1 (KOMO did so during the turn where W was called). (CC: Stuart McPherran, this includes KATU) scottman82wheelfan Wheel will also be joined in progress around that point if KABC opts to air the blackish Christmas special rerun in its entirety instead of joining it in progress. They did do this last year, which resulted in Jeopardy! getting cut off, but the shows are swapped this year. |

ABC has yet another national broadcast of Monday Night Football featuring the Bills and Patriots, so tonight's Wheel is pre-empted on all West Coast ABC affiliates and two Upstate New York CBS affiliates by local Bills pregame. ATTN: genius2751 , your listings will probably have Wheel at 10:30 tonight, but according to KGO's website and their Twitter promoting contestant Sabrina, it will actually air at 10:00. Thanks to Dylan for filling in while I was away. As you could probably tell, all the info he posted was fed from me, and I had to send raw BBcode for him to copy and paste, so the Xmas post looks a bit botched; the larger fonts in the tables themselves were not intentional.
Anyway, follow-ups regarding Christmas...
Saturday's College Football game on ABC did end on time. However, some ABC stations may still have cut off the very beginning of Wheel since ABC was still airing commercials at 7:00 after signing off. WLS Chicago aired the rerun that night, but it did not begin until the middle of the interviews.
WABC New York aired the 12/25 episode uninterrupted on Saturday. Aside from them, the only other station I found on Saturday that aired the 12/25 episode at 7:00 or 7:30 and did not have it listed was WVEC in Norfolk, VA.
The stations that had two weekend airings listed for Wheel were mostly mistakes, likely leftovers from previous weekends since this was the first Saturday that did not have College Football during the evening. Jackson, TN did not air Wheel at 10:35 on their CBS sub; they aired Canadian syndicated show Go/Nitro instead. I don't have access to the ABC, so I couldn't verify which episode they aired (if any) at 6:30. WKRN Nashville aired the rerun on Saturday at 6:30, but did not air any Wheel on Sunday; a repeat of one of their specials aired instead. WTVC Chattanooga aired the rerun on Saturday at 7:00; it is unknown if they aired the 12/25 episode later that night. KQTV St. Joseph I cannot verify since I don't have a feed of it.
KABC Los Angeles sadly did cut off the beginning of Friday's Wheel through late R1 to show a black-ish rerun in its entirety, and they did not re-air the episode on Saturday.

The Saturday rerun is pre-empted or moved in the following markets this weekend... Never mind. The special was listed as a full hour, but it's actually only half an hour. It originally aired on all the NYC stations on Saturday 7/11/20 at 7:00. Wheel is airing right now at the normal 7:30.  I had a feeling this would be the case. The WABC website had the hour listed correctly, and I thought it was fishy that J! was moved to Sunday afternoon but Wheel wasn't. Good thing I scheduled the full hour to record. |

Some 7:30 Pacific airings got at least mostly pre-empted by ABC News coverage of the Georgia election. The East Coast cut in right after ABC's airing of The Lion King finished, fully pre-empting a rerun of The Goldbergs. The only reports I’m seeing of Wheel being preempted, however, are from the LA/KABC area.
EDIT: KABC Los Angeles lost the full show. KGO San Francisco only got up to R3.
