So there won't be any FOX pre-emptions next week Never mind... -_- This could not have ended up being more false... Starting today, Wheel on FOX affiliates is being pre-empted up to 9 days in a row (counting Saturday) due to national sporting events on FOX, most of which start at 7:30 PM Eastern. Thursday is NLCS Game 4 replacing the scheduled TNF game, Friday is the WWE Kickoff Special (which airs at 7:30 ET/6:30 CT, but stations are allowed to airing it on subchannels), Saturday is PBA Bowling, next Monday is the postponed TNF game (which affects 7:00 ET airings of Wheel as well), Tuesday and Wednesday are World Series Games 1 and 2, Thursday is TNF, Friday and Saturday are WS Games 3 and 4. By the way, FOX is still only scheduling three hours for MLB and the World Series games, meaning overnight airings of Wheel will probably be slid back or skipped entirely most of the time, since most game broadcasts actually take upwards of four hours.
Here are the air times for Thursday. Friday's are already in the Week 5 post, and Saturday's will be added there by then.
REGION | AFFILIATE | WHEEL AIRING | TIME ZONE | Green Bay, WI
| WLUK | 5:30 PM
| CT | Baltimore, MD
| WBFF | 11:35 PM +
| ET | Kansas City, MO | WDAF | 11:00 PM +
| CT | Mobile, AL
| WALA | 2:30 AM | CT
| New Orleans, LA
| WVUE | 1:35 AM
| CT | Denver, CO
| KDVR | 1:30 AM | MT | Syracuse, NY
| WSYT | Not affected | ET | Cincinnati, OH
| WXIX | Not affected
| ET | Lake Charles, LA
| KVHP
| Not affected
| CT | Hawaii
| KHON | Not affected !60
| HT |
COLOR KEY | Green | Airing earlier than usual time | Purple | Airing overnight
| + | Wheel will air in full, but will air later than the time listed if the game runs over, due to stations making up local newscasts after the event.
| !60 | Wheel will be joined in progress or skipped if the game runs more than 60 minutes over (past 12:00 AM Eastern/6:00 PM Hawaii).
|
This means that four of five episodes this week were pre-empted nationally across one network.

Denver’s guide is not showing Wheel at all through the night, but I’ll DVR a couple of hours just in case. Good thing I’m not addicted to watching or anything 😉

Wheel will be bumped in Watertown, NY (WWNY) on Monday due to a local Congressional debate. Normally they'd air the debate on their sister station but said sister station is airing the delayed Thursday Night Football game...

KXTV pre-empted last night's Wheel (and Jeopardy) for a special about Joe Biden IIRC. It ended around 7, and they put about an hour of news around that time slot.

Good thing I’m not addicted to watching or anything 😉 KDVR aired Wheel at the normal time tonight. The WWE Kickoff Special aired on their Antenna TV subchannel instead. It was optional; most of the FOX stations that air Wheel stuck with it instead of the special.

KXTV pre-empted last night's Wheel (and Jeopardy) for a special about Joe Biden IIRC. It ended around 7, and they put about an hour of news around that time slot. Whoops; I didn't think the West Coast was airing that special live with the East. I guess it was optional; a Seattle viewer on Twitter said that KOMO delayed it to 8:00 PM Pacific. According to KXTV's site, last night's Wheel aired at 10:30 PM Pacific, the same slot it would have aired had the debate gone on as planned. I know I've been slacking this week. I usually do all the research on Mondays, but I had to handle some other game-show-related business that afternoon (which you guys will know about soon ).

Here's something we hardly ever see: a Wheel double run! WTVY in Dothan, Alabama is running two Wheels on Saturday afternoon leading into CBS's coverage of the International Swimming League. The Saturday rerun will air at 12:00, followed by Tuesday's episode that was pre-empted by NFL, hence the green "NEW" marker. (Off-topic: "Wild America" was a nature documentary show that ran on PBS from 1982-94. Surprising to see it carried in syndication in 2020)

Yup no Thursday wheel in Denver, even through the night. I was bummed. Luckily they don’t do that often, usually they run at 1:30 or 3:30 am....

Stuart McPherranCollege Football ran over >30 minutes tonight. Local news did not begin until 8:40 PM, so you will lose the first 10 minutes of Wheel. Hopefully, you've seen the episode already, since it already aired twice before.

Wheel will be bumped in Watertown, NY (WWNY) on Monday due to a local Congressional debate. Normally they'd air the debate on their sister station but said sister station is airing the delayed Thursday Night Football game... The debate is not listed on Zap2It, though it is on the schedule on WWNY's site. Interestingly, it looks like Wheel is actually being made up this time. With the NFL pre-emptions the past two weeks, only J! was made up at 2:07. This time, J! is airing at 1:37 (listed on Z2I as Paid Programming) and Wheel at 2:07 (listed as "Local Programming" from 2:07-4:00). Their site also shows that J! is airing on the FOX sister station at 10:40 PM; it's listed as the first-run episode, but I assume that's "Daytime" J!

Additional notes for Week 5: Monday:- The South Carolina debate was a listings error. That was apparently the day it was originally scheduled for, before moving to the previous Friday. Wheel did air on WCBD and WBTW.
- However, there was a debate in Kentucky, which aired on most Kentucky stations owned by Gray Television, so most of the state did not witness the $100K win. The only two exceptions were WSAZ in Charleston, WV (which reaches Kentucky), which is not known to have aired the debate. WXIX Cincinnati was slated to air it, but since they're a FOX station, they had to air the last-minute MLB broadcast, which meant Wheel got to air at its normal time, and the debate was forced to air after the game at 1:00 AM Eastern.
Tuesday: - Wheel did indeed air at the normal time on WKRN Nashville this week, for what will probably be the only time during NFL season.
Wednesday: - The North Carolina debate actually aired on more stations than what was first noted. The Week 5 post was updated to include them.
Thursday:- NLCS Game 4 did not sign off until 12:02 AM Eastern, over an hour late. KHON Hawaii cut off the beginning of Wheel, likely starting it mid-R1.
- Full list of Wheel airings affected by the Joe Biden Town Hall has been posted in the Week 5 post.
Friday: - Only three FOX stations pre-empted Wheel with the WWE SmackDown Kickoff Show: WBFF Baltimore, WLUK Green Bay, and WALA Mobile.
Saturday:- WPXI Pittsburgh had Wheel listed for both 4:00 AM and 7:30 PM. It did air at 4:00 AM, but I forgot to check it at 7:30 PM; I'll assume their Steelers show aired as usual.
- The CBS stations that moved Wheel to 5:00 PM Central had to JIP it (likely during R2) due to CBS' soccer game running over. Markets in the Eastern Time Zone that aired local news following Soccer did not do so until 6:11.
- CBS had a nighttime College Football game this weekend, but it was only given three hours on the schedule instead of three and a half like the afternoon games. Obviously, this game ran long. It did not sign off until about 11:40 PM Eastern.
- In the Mountain Time Zone, all 9:00 PM airings were lost, 9:30 airings were JIP'd (probably between R2 and 3), and KRQE Albquerque did not air it all, replacing it with the last 20 minutes of Jeopardy!, as they always do even on weekends.
- WMDB Peoria likely slid Wheel back, as Weather Gone Viral was still airing when Wheel should have started.
- College Football on ABC overran to about 11:37 PM Eastern, pre-empting Wheel entirely on KOTA Rapid City, sliding it on KOMO Seattle, and cutting off the first 10-ish minutes on KATU Portland.
- Despite the heavy overrun, KABC still aired Friday's episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel in their entirety and on time at 9:00 and 9:30 PM Pacific following a 20-minute newscast. Everything went swimmingly for both shows this week, airing exactly as announced and promoting the contestants on the right days as well, including Saturday.
- The third airing of this episode properly aired at their normal times on the red and yellow teams' home stations: KNSD San Diego and WSAV Savannah, respectively, both NBC's. However, the blue team would not have seen it. Chesterfield, VA is in the Richmond market. WRIC (ABC) is one of the stations that does not air Weekend Wheel at all during CFB season (but they do air Weekend Jeopardy! Sundays at 5:00 PM Eastern. Sigh...)
- Since KMVT Twin Falls always airs Weekend Wheel at 5:30 PM Mountain on Sundays instead of the customary 6:30 PM Saturdays, most weekend airings to date have been cut off by NFL running long. This Sunday, NFL's late game was only aired on some CBS affiliates; KMVT was not one of them, so Wheel aired in full for what I believe was the first time this season.

SATURDAY (4/9/20):The original airing of this episode was pre-empted in two markets: Orlando (WFTV) and Columbus (WBNS). It will be pre-empted again on both of these stations due to College Football and other sporting events. WFTV did air the 4/9 episode the following Saturday at 7:30 PM Eastern. The rerun is not listed at all on some listings (due to the usual 5:00 PM Sunday slot taken by MLS Soccer this weekend), but others have it at 3:00 PM Sunday just before the soccer game. WBNS airs CFB season Wheels mostly at 1:00 AM Monday mornings (because 7:30 on Saturdays, time permitting, is replaced with Jeopardy! Sigh...). The weekend airings in Chicago and Miami last week were one-offs. They are no longer shown to be airing on any future weekends for now. All FOX stations are pre-empted by World Series Game 4 on Saturday. Game 5 airs Sunday. Weekend Wheel air times on FOX's, where applicable, are listed with the weekday times since the full week is affected for most. Irregular air times for non-FOX's are listed below. Tuesday's episode is pre-empted on two Indiana-based stations due to the Indiana Gubernatorial Debate. WTHR in Indianapolis (NBC) has moved Wheel to their MeTV subchannel, according to their website. The other station is WSBT in South Bend (CBS). It is unknown if they will air Wheel overnight, as TV listings still have Wheel at the normal time on both stations. All other Indiana Wheel affiliates are airing it as normal.

THURSDAY: WEST COAST Due to the Second Presidential Debate, Thursday's episode will air at a different time in all Pacific Time Zone, Arizona, and Alaska markets. This will also be the case on NBC affiliates in the Mountain Time Zone, due to NBC's debate preview special airing live at 6:30 PM. Mountain ABC's and CBS's are not affected. EDIT: NBC extended their debate preview special to an hour, and ABC added one as well, meaning Wheel is now affected on all Mountain ABC's. CBS is not airing a debate preview special. 7:30 Eastern viewers, was anyone else interrupted during R2 for the FBI press conference? tenpoundhammer says WNEM in Flint (CBS) did, but whammypower788 says WDJT in Milwaukee (also CBS) did not. WABC New York did not interrupt it. It looks like it was only CBS affiliates. TPH says the end of Round 1 (after the solve) through the end of Round 3 were lost. The first tweets about it came at 7:37. EDIT: Searching Twitter for words like "wheel fbi" and "wheel interrupt" and checking the profiles of the people who tweeted them, the following stations also interrupted tonight's Wheel: WCCO - Minneapolis, MN (CBS O&O) KTVT - Dallas, TX (CBS O&O) WRBL - Columbus, GA (CBS) WBNS - Columbus, OH (CBS) A Jeopardy! fan tweeted that WWMT in Grand Rapids, MI (CBS) aired the press conference as well (Wheel airs at 7:00 there, so it was fine).

According to a fan in the Facebook group, ABC Alaska accidentally did not air the TTU/R4+ segment of Wednesday's episode, skipping from R3 to the BR with an extra-long commercial break in between. Whoops.

Haven't researched the individual stations yet, but as of today, these are the times for Election Day coverage on the Big Four networks:
East Coast: ABC: 7:00-11:00 PM NBC: 7:00-11:00 PM CBS: 7:00 or 8:00-11:00 PM FOX: 8:00-10:00 PM
West Coast ABC: 4:00-11:00 PM NBC: 4:00-11:00 PM CBS: 4:00 or 5:00-11:00 PM FOX: 4:00-10:00 PM
It looks like East Coast FOX airings of Wheel will be fine. CBS isn't clear on whether coverage will start at 7:00 or 8:00. I get two CBS stations where I live. One of them has the regular 7:00 and 7:30 programs listed, but the other has the hour listed as "To Be Announced".
