As much as I feel that onomatopoeia shouldn't really be in this game, before Raven's second spin this round, she wanted to solve, and Pat warned her to be very careful when attempting to do so. When attempting to solve, what came out of Raven's mouth sounded like AY AY AY AY STAYIN' ALIVE STAYIN' ALIVE (closed captioning says AH AH AH AH and Pat says it that way when explaining why she was buzzed, but it sounded more like an I sound). The show can't accept that, but they will take Tori's AH HA HA HA STAYIN' ALIVE STAYIN' ALIVE for the round minimum.

It's nice they briefly acknowledged Tara's syndie appearance, but it would have been better if they showed clips or at least stills. Maybe there would have been legal issues with CBS Media Ventures over leasing footage of the syndie show, or issues with featuring the likenesses of Richard Simmons and Alex Trebek.

Regarding both versions of the show, can the writers please drop this 80's obsession? They've totally stopped catering to the 18-49 demo this season and it's just half repeated syndie puzzles and half new puzzles with a slight bit of snark that wouldn't pass for syndie.

I haven't been watching the past few episodes because of the predictable way they order them based on what episodes have Bonus Round wins. They also spoiled a loss on the Twitter by posting a GIF of Raven frowning and clapping from behind the red podium and the set lights weren't flashing.

Once again, the humor of the first celebrity episode of 2022 trumped the gameplay.

Tara was pumped throughout the game, Tori was fun to watch, and I’m glad the hilarious Raven got some Toss-Up money, because the wheel was unkind to her. I was nervous someone would make an error on the Bee Gees puzzle. But I think her shouting the answer to TU1 in the second game had me rolling. 😂

I nailed R1 of the first game with just the T and no-lettered the last Triple Toss-Up in that match (and solved the second TTU with just the P). But the Final Spin puzzle of the second game was extremely hard for me to solve.

I solved the first BR with RSTLNE and the second with Tori’s picks. Maybe a C would’ve given Tara a shot at the former round and the G’s would’ve helped Tori in the latter (I’m surprised she even picked the U).

My rating (for both episodes): 6

Raven...saved this otherwise underwhelming start to the '22 portion of this season. Puzzle writing was predictable again and it didn't help that there was some ugly gameplay as well. Oh, and I also no-lettered TTU3 (and yes, the Final Spin puzzle was difficult indeed).

BRs: I solved both from the RSTLNE. Maybe they needed more letters to make it work.
