#S-7502RR is pre-empted on at least East Coast NBC's and most FOX's (except WXIX) by NFL Playoffs, and Mountain ABC's by UFC. NBC's game is scheduled until 8:00 ET, putting Mountain airings in danger, and FOX's is scheduled until 11:00 ET, which means any overrun will affect Wheel on KHON in Hawaii. WDAF has Wheel early today at 3:30 PM CT. KDVR doesn't have any Wheel at all this weekend, though the 9:00 MT slot is listed as TBA. It will probably be either J! or an infomercial.
KOTA and KGUN both have Shark Tank after UFC, like the East Coast, and Wheel in the 9:00 PM MT hour following it. It is unknown if they will run Shark Tank in its entirety following UFC if it runs over, or if they'll JIP it as the East Coast feed will.
The Pacific Time Zone is airing Shark Tank at 8:00 PT. Because of this, many Pacific ABC airings of Wheel are in danger of being JIP'd or skipped. KABC has WOF/J! swapped tonight with Wheel at 7:00, very likely because of the rising trend in affiliates prioritizing J! over Wheel when they're scheduled shortly after sports. Last year, KABC would run J! in its entirety after UFC overruns and JIP Wheel, so it is very unlikely they would air Wheel in its entirety if UFC runs long. KGO has the two shows at their usual times and J! was never slid to air in its entirety last year, so Wheel should be fine there.
The original airing of this episode was pre-empted on WABC and WPVI (markets #1 and 4) by a preview special for New Year's Rockin' Eve. Fortunately, both stations are airing it this time. This was also originally a T-Mobile episode, so there will likely be some editing.
(EDIT: NFL on NBC and UFC on ABC both ended on time. NFL on FOX went until about 11:19 ET, meaning Hawaii only got about R4 onwards.)

January- January TBA: KATV Little Rock by the Landers Award Ceremony
A station tradition since 2000, it appears this isn't happening this year, if ever again. Searching the Landers Award tag on the KATV website shows nothing relevant to the award since last year. The Bills are out, so Wheel should be fine in Buffalo for a while. If they did pre-empt it last week, it wasn't on Thursday or Friday because I captured both of those episodes off WIVB with no issue, as well as Saturday's rerun. The Eagles won their way to the championship. No sign of Eagles hype specials on WPVI just yet. However, the station is already pre-empting Wheel on Friday (#S-7720) for the Philadelphia Auto Show and airing the show at 3:00 or 3:07 AM ET. If the Eagles do make it to the Bowl and WPVI opts for a special, it will probably air Thursday 2/9 (#S-7729). The Chiefs are also in the championship yet again, so #S-7720 will very likely be pre-empted on WDAF for a hype special, which would result in the show airing at 11:00 PM CT at the earliest. If the Chiefs win the championship and move on to the Super Bowl, WDAF will likely pre-empt Wheel for at least seven days in a row from February 3-10 (#S-7725 to 7730, plus 7540RR), going by how they did it in 2020 and 21. |

All East Coast CBS airings of #S-7720 on Friday and #S-7430RR on Saturday are pre-empted by PGA.
Mountain airings are also in danger if it runs over. On both days, all of the CBS Montana stations are pre-empting Jeopardy! at 6:00 MT for delayed 5:30 newscasts, and I believe their policy is to always run the news for 30 minutes, so any overrun will impact Wheel here. The only 6:30 MT airing of Wheel that will be okay if there's <30 minutes of overrun is KDBC El Paso since they do not slide J! after overruns like KRQE and now KBOI do.
The CBS primetime lineup is all repeats both nights. It is unknown if they will JIP the lineup or slide it if PGA runs over. If the latter, overnight airings of Wheel will slide.
Last year, WDJT Milwaukee aired Wheel early at 3:30 PM Central. This year, it's bumped to 1:07 AM.
KFSM Fort Smith is airing 7720 at 1:07 AM CT and 7430RR Sunday at 3:30 PM.
Boston has 7720 on WSBK at 7:00 ET, and 7430RR on WBZ Sunday at 5:00 PM. Both airings of 7430 were pre-empted in Boston, but at least the second airing has a decent time slot.

Wheel is already pre-empted tonight regardless on WPVI and WDAF.

All 7:30 ET airings on ABC affiliates lost the first segment for a special report. They signed off during the break between R1 and 2. The other networks did not air a special report, although CBS ran a crawl during PGA around 7:22. WPVI also ran a crawl around 7:35 during their auto show special.
Wheel is obviously pre-empted on WMC Memphis as they continue covering the events locally.
7:00 ET airings were fully intact, except on WJLA. Due to a glitch, they accidentally switched to the 7:00 feed of ABC World News Tonight seconds after Wheel started, missed TU1, and switched back during the interviews.

Couple previous notes...
On 1/14 (#S-7508RR), KXAN Austin announced that Wheel would air on KBVO (MyTV) at 5:00 PM CT due to the NFL game. Interesting they did that with a Saturday rerun, since they normally don't make up pre-emptions at all except during the Olympics where they get moved to either KBVO or KNVA.
On 1/24, #S-7717 was pre-empted on at least KATC Lafayette by severe weather.
1/26 was the Michigan State of the State address, which pre-empted Wheel on at least WDIV Detroit in previous years. This year, they stuck with Wheel and made the address an online exclusive, although a few seconds of the address did air at one point between Wheel and J!, but both shows aired in their entirety.

#S-7430RR is pre-empted on:
- ABC due to sports from 12:30-11:00 ET
- CBS East Coast due to PGA scheduled until 8:00 ET
- FOX by college basketball from 1:00-10:00 ET
WABC has Wheel at 5:00 AM ET Sunday, half an hour after the late night movie.
KDVR has Wheel at 8:30 PM MT, half an hour after the game.
WVUE aired Wheel at 11:30 AM CT Saturday morning, and WDAF at 10:30 AM. Interestingly, because of last night's pre-emption, this resulted in WDAF airing Wheel twice in a span of 12 hours, which rarely happens.
WPXI relegating Saturday Wheel to 4:30 AM ET appears to be permanent. "11 on the Ice" was moved to the morning today since the Penguins have a game tonight at 7:00, but WPXI will still put random specials or infomercials at 7:30 and J! at 7:00. Wheel has not aired on a Saturday at 7:00 or 7:30 since very shortly after the two shows swapped time slots back in July.

NBA went into overtime and ran until 11:36 PM ET. This will cause some West Coast ABC airings of #S-7340RR to get JIP'd or skipped over. This will also affect WABC's airing since it was scheduled half an hour after the overnight movie, so Wheel will get JIP'd late into R1 or during the first break. This affects contestant Jim from this episode.
PGA on CBS ended on time once again. College basketball on FOX ran until 10:17 ET, so Wheel was fine on KDVR.

Unfortunately for Wheel, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl once again. There goes a good portion of Wheel's February sweeps ratings...
The Eagles also made it. However, any Eagles hype specials have been airing on WCAU, pre-empting Access Hollywood. They aired one last Friday and will be airing one more on Friday 2/10. WPVI has no Wheel pre-emptions on its schedule through at least 2/11.
Sometimes, an affiliate in the market hosting the Super Bowl airs specials as well. It's outside Phoenix this year, but no specials are on KTVK's schedule.

#S-7540RR was pre-empted on FOX East by college basketball, ABC West by NBA, and Pacific Time Zone CBS affiliates by a live MMA match, followed by NCIS airing in its entirety afterward. All three overran, none more than half an hour, but Wheel still may be affected, especially on CBS if a station scheduled it or J! after NCIS and opts to slide the latter. Wheel was not affected on KDVR where it aired in its entirety at 8:30 MT as usual. Early airings on FOX were not possible today since the network feed started at 11:30 AM ET.
CBS had the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament scheduled until 7:00 ET today. However, play was suspended this afternoon due to high winds, and the remainder of the broadcast was filled with an encore of a 2021 tournament. This obviously did not run past 7:00, but still resulted in Wheel getting pre-empted on WBNS Columbus since any time a sporting event is scheduled until 7:00, the 6:00 news moves to 7:00 and J! replaces Wheel at 7:30.
The rest of the portion that should have been played Saturday will be played on Sunday, and because this delays the rest of the tournament, the PGA has announced that it will not conclude until Monday, scheduling dependent on if there are any more delays on Sunday. This could potentially affect CBS airings of #S-7726 on Monday if they opt to schedule the conclusion until 7:00 ET or later. (EDIT: Monday's coverage did not air on CBS)

State of the Union is tonight from 9-11 ET/6-8 PT. #S-7727 is moved on all Pacific Time Zone stations, mostly in the 9-11 PM window where SOTU went in the East Coast lineup. KNSD San Diego has Wheel at 9:00, and both KABC and KGO have it at 10:00.
On KTVK Phoenix, Wheel is pre-empted by CBS's coverage of SOTU (they're a sister station of CBS affiliate KPHO) and will air at 12:00 AM Mountain. This is an improvement from previous years, where it would air at 3:00 AM. Wheel is not impacted in any other Mountain Time Zone markets.

WPVI has no Wheel pre-emptions on its schedule through at least 2/11. Surprise! #S-7730 was pre-empted on WPVI for an hour-long Eagles hype special and will air at 3:00 AM ET. Wheel is still at the normal time on Saturday. Wheel has aired at 1:00 AM CT every day this week on WDAF. It gets worse every year. In 2020, it aired at 11:00 or 11:30 PM (I forget which), and in 2021 it aired at 12:30 AM. Like Philly, Saturday is at the regular time since that day's Chiefs hype is from 5-6 CT. |

Actually, not techically true for the latter. On WBNS, it pre-empted Jeopardy!... but of course, WBNS decided to move J! to the Wheel slot and bump Wheel to 12:30 AM ET Monday just like they do any time they do a 7:00 newscast. 🙄
The original airing was pre-empted on WSAZ in Huntington, WV by severe weather. This airing was fine.
