Squeeze: Hard and such close choices. One would probably be better off picking at random here. 1RP: Shouldn't have been lost. We see those two prizes all the time... Hole in One: Great putting! Take Two: Also tough with the random accessories thrown in there, and of course they're one of the right prizes. Bonus Game: Finally someone prices the fondue set right, and it paid off for him! ;D TTM: I can't believe not a lot of people notice the 3/8 trend here. It's the same thing as the 2/9 thing back in Season 38. Showcases: The BMW was a nice surprise. Too bad he underbid by too much.

Cliff Hangers: She played OK despite guessing $20 when it was already the first price. Good thing she wasn't too far off the last one. Money Game: Never pick the top-middle numbers! Good thing she won anyway. I have a bad feeling a lot of people are going to choose the 40 because it looks like a good choice (though so did 39) for the last two digits (that is, if you don't pay close attention to the setups ). Switch?: Either decision looked plausible despite the $1,600+ spread. Push: Easiest setup of the season so far, IMO, especially if you know the "never go with the first available choice" rule. IITB: FINALLY someone who got them all right AND didn't chicken out! ;D ;D Any #: Didn't really put much strategy into her picks. No way the car was $26K+. I knew when she said 9 (or if she said 5) she wouldn't be getting the car. Showcases: Nothing too special. Pricey Jeep trips, though. Glad to see the person who broke IITB's streak of a season's worth of losses won. You definitely saw quite the show, Wayoshi.

It was so nice to see Spelling Bee. I am SHOCKED they actually played it for an expensive car. What a tough luck playing, however....couldn't play the game any better than that. Swap Meet was just wrong.... Nice to see Lucky $even is still the same. So sorry for Altaf in the showcase.

Well, this was certainly a bit of a surprise lineup for today, in the sense I was expecting to see a third cash game. But, for a budget show, this was a decent one. Spelling Bee was a tough luck loss, but it was nice to see the "SP exacta" rule come into play - it's been a while since that happened. Other than that, lots of evil setups - Lucky 7, Side By Side $400 apart, etc. made for a weird feel to today, but we came out OK 3/6 largely due to the fact Hi Lo was as easy as could be. Just, very average. It's weird to have so many rare games come out this week.

Again, I didn't see the show (tough luck on that Showcase, though). The classic clips, however...
The first car win -- third clip this week from the first episode, all from the first segment. "And you won the fur coat!" ...wait, what?! They actually let those words get aired?! (Oh, and apparently showing the fur is a no-no but saying one was offered is fine.)
Drew's first taped entrance -- I have this episode from its original broadcast, and I've seen the open several times on YouTube. Still, good to hear Rich Fields again.
So for the season premiere week, the only "new" clip is the debut of Cliff Hangers. I hope they continue this trend of two classic clips on every episode this season, because it's certainly a treat.
(Oh, and show a clip with Rod Roddy speaking.)

Spelling Bee: Great to see an exacta. Too bad she had tough luck for the rest of the game. That was a pretty expensive car, too, especially for this game. Hopefully the next playing won't be for a Chevy Aveo or Hyundai Accent. Side by Side: This was evil yet easy at the same time. It was obvious she needed to go with the more expensive option, but the two choices were so close together ($396 difference). This is most likely a record for the smallest spread, possibly in any "Double Prices-esque" game (not counting DPs early playings). The previous record for Side By Side was $495 last February, and I believe $440 in Double Prices some time last season. Swap Meet: Evil...and quite a cheap TV. Balance Game: On the other hand, this was set up for a win. Lucky $even: I knew we wouldn't be able to get through the week without this being played. That is why you never go with 4, 5, or 6 on the last digit! When you have x dollars to lose, subtract it from 9 (or add it to 1 if the 4th digit was 9) and go with that, and you'll probably win. Hi Lo: Pretty easy, but the energy drink looked like it could have been a trap. Showcases: Aww, no car. The Apple theme was cool, though.

It wasn't the Jeep... it was the trips...
As far as Baggy and A# went, Emily took the whole audience into consideration, and Stephanie didn't. Stephanie's group had good shirts, but if they can't get a Chrysler 200 LX's 2nd digit until you're against the wall (despite it being the tough 0), that's just not going to work.
The rest of the show was standard, with probably the easiest setups of the week.

LMFAO, that is... just... LOL.
Man, some people just can't adapt!
Anyways, I honestly have nothing to say... Roo & Stacky have officially become Mike's go-to games to keep cars in Studio 33 if they are at this difficulty on a completely fresh budget. Danger was also a bit too hard today.
This should be the time you let things fall as they may and then adjust later on. Now I'm worried Mike was trying to make up for Racey, and future guest fails, early.

Do you think Mike won or the players lost?
Mike clearly doesn't know how to start any season's tapings.
