Oh, absolutely. I knew this was meant for CRT televisions and was released before HD became a big thing. I just did it for the heck of it. Besides, you sometimes never know unless you try, especially if there's no risk. As I said earlier, however, I have a CRT television, and I may have some Season 22 episodes on VHS. If find that I do, I'll give it a try at some point.

I'm very happy to see you finally get your hands on that game, germanname! Did you ask the seller where he got it originally?

Thanks, Robert. Now I didn't ask where he got it. All I did was give him the grandmother of all thank you messages over at eBay when the game arrived, but I'll try to ask him. Even so, since he sells a lot of antiques, I wouldn't be surprised if even he was at loss as to where he got it. Someone may have just sold it to him. Even so, the username could not be more appropriate. I don't want to mention it here without the mods' approval, but I provided the link to the listing here right after buying this gem. I'll show the link again just to make it easier. As of the time I submit this, the listing is still up. So help yourself to the pictures. www.ebay.com/itm/Wheel-of-Fortune-Live-Play-Handheld-Electronic-Hasbro-Tiger-Game-2004-RARE/324025267568Anyway, Happy 2020. In honor of the start of roaring twenties, twenty-first century style, I just showed some videos and pictures of this thing off over at Instagram. Since Monday will be 45 years to the day the show premiered on NBC, I will show some more pictures come then, but in the meantime, enjoy. http://instagram.com/p/B6xZol8nGO9

I actually saw that listing, Robert, but thank you. I actually have those disks already, and I figure that if the game was meant for Windows 95, the disks would have the word Windows 95 as opposed to just Windows printed on them. In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than just those two disks. Windows 95's Platinum Edition of Jeopardy! (which I got for Christmas '05 and still have) comes with eight disks, and if I recall correctly, those disks should have Windows 95 printed on them.

Can anybody find unreleased/scrapped/rare/lost footage of an unreleased app? If so, that would be wonderful.

That would be something worth thinking about. In the meantime, Happy Easter, everyone! I got some more stuff of that Live Play game to show you. First off, back on March 2nd, I turned 30. Here are a couple photos of me holding my Wheel of Fortune Live Play-themed cake. http://instagr.am/p/B9Quhi_HBTz And Hirsk26, I remember promising you a gameplay video of this thing, and I plan on showing more videos of it later on. Thanks for waiting.

I'm going to bump this one back up because I read something on Wikipedia about a Wheel of Fortune game for the Game Boy Color. It was cited to IGN I followed the link and it gave me a false release date of December 31, 1969. The only other information was that Majesco was to be the publisher. Any thoughts?

I'm going to bump this one back up again. If you go to Page 2 of this thread and scroll just after the halfway point, you'll see a February 2012 picture I posted of a CD-ROM with the 1986 Round 4 nighttime layout. It was a game made for the Apple Macintosh. As someone who never owned a Mac, I was left wondering what this 1993 game could be. As it turns out, it's just the 1991 PC version starring Vanna White only instead of being on a diskette, like on initial releases, it's on a CD-ROM. I don't know for sure why they did this considering it's the same game and they never made a CD-ROM counterpart (at least as far as I know) for the MS-DOS and Windows versions. Maybe it's because some Macintosh models had a CD-ROM drive yet not a disk drive and vice-versa? In addition, I remember seeing the Macintosh CD-ROM version at Best Buy back around 1997 or so and being left very disappointed when I learned that my computer (which still runs on Windows 3.1 to this day) could not run Macintosh software. I would never see this very version again until just a few hours ago through this eBay listing. www.ebay.com/itm/Wheel-of-Fortune-Featuring-Vanna-White-1993-Vintage-Mac-Game/324570073869The bad news is that the listing ended half an hour ago as I type this up. The good news is that not only did I help myself to saving the pictures, but I was also the only bidder. Hopefully a few days from now, I'll have another rare piece of Wheel of Fortune home game history because this is actually the first Wheel of Fortune game to officially make it to a CD-ROM as opposed to Sony Imagesoft's games for the PC and SEGA CD which were released the following year. Now although I have multiple copies of this game already, I will also have the box for it. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for GameTek's 1996 Deluxe Edition that was exclusively designed for Windows 95.

As I stated in the previous post, I mentioned a rare variation of a Wheel of Fortune game. Now I'm kind of left to wonder if rare variations (as opposed to editions) count as rare Wheel of Fortune games and thus may be discussed in this thread. The reason why I'm asking this is because just hours after my Macintosh CD game arrived in the mail, I found a unique variation to a rather common game, Tiger's Wheel of Fortune Slots, on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/274718379093I bought it Tuesday afternoon, and it's on its way as I type this up.

I'm going to bounce this one back up because oops, I did it again! I just bought another rare Wheel of Fortune game: Tyco's Travel Wheel of Fortune 2nd Edition. While Tyco's first travel edition and both regular editions are common finds on eBay, it turns out Tyco's second travel edition is anything but. In circumstances very similar to how I got my Live Play game just about three years ago, I've been checking eBay just about every day for this version for a few years without any luck until just a few minutes ago. By the way, yes, I do have all of Tyco's other games as well as Mattel's 1998 release. I just have to wait for this to arrive, and my Tyco Wheel collection will be complete, just like my Tiger Wheel collection pretty much is. www.ebay.com/itm/295436421645Now I know that one quote stating that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. When it comes to this, however, there is one thing that kept this from being insanity. If it's not there today, maybe it'll be there tomorrow. If it's not there tomorrow, maybe it'll be there the day after. If you ask me, that's patience, determination, and the hope that one day, at any given moment, that fourth star, fortune itself, will align. You got to keep checking, ladies and gentlemen. Please keep checking. Please keep looking. This is how I got this stuff, and that's how I plan to get GameTek's Deluxe Wheel of Fortune game for Windows 95. I hope what I just said inspires you all. Happy Holidays!

The game arrived yesterday to end 2022 on a good note for me, and unless you're an avid collector like I am, it's nothing too special. The only difference besides the puzzles and boxart is the font the Wheel uses. Instead of using Clarendon, it uses Times New Roman Bold instead, possibly to help distinguish between editions.
Now I remember seeing pictures of the second Travel Edition over at Board Game Geek years ago, and I started seeking it around the same time I got my Live Play game. I wasn't expecting it to be such a chore just to get it, but as time went on, I started to realize that this was a rare gem. When I finally found the listing for it on the evening of Christmas Day, the box was slightly worn, but everything inside looked like it had never been used. So I was very fortunate to get it in this good of a condition.
Now I made sure to send a nice thank you message to the seller promising her that I would take good care of it, even mentioning my Live Play game and how well I've been taking good care of it as well. Just two minutes later, she responded telling me that she was pleased to know how happy I was with it.
I'll post pictures soon. Other than that, Happy New Year, ladies and gentlemen!

Just a few days ago, over at Facebook's Game Show Memorabilia Museum, someone made a post regarding a 1993 Deluxe Wheel of Fortune board game from the Danbury Mint. It's essentially a beefed-up version of Tyco's Wheel of Fortune games only with 42 spaces on the Puzzle Board as opposed to just 33. The Wheel values are the same as Pressman and Tyco's Wheels, but the color scheme is much different. I don't know if this has been released or not (so far I found no evidence of anyone owning a copy; a quick Google Image search has also turned up nothing), but if it has, it probably would've been the most expensive home version of the show ever released as it had a price tag of some $500. Now even with a payment plan of about $50 per month, it still looks like something that only a few could afford back in 1993, especially considering that I read that many were trying to save up as much money as possible following an early nineties recession. That recession and its aftermath may have contributed to low sales of this home adaption.
Now I have the picture, but I'm rather hesitant to upload it here without permission. Even so, I plan on recreating the Wheel layout soon.
