I've just confirmed some new rules for season 30. Gift tags and wild cards are now worth $500 per letter. Also, there will not be a special "30th anniversary" week.

... Why not 300/900? Gift tag is worth something at the end of the round so that's a bit awkward, but, this is an improvement overall.
This "gradual" celebration of S30 with no week for it is actually... not that good. There better be one right away in S31, the official date is that Tuesday.
Anything else? 1/2 Car still on there? New categories? BR amounts hopefully do not have crap?

Both $500? Are they in the same places as last season? (GT over pink wedge between yellow $400/red $900, WC over pink wedge between green $300/Bankrupt) Any other wedge changes?

I like the idea that the gift tag and WC award money for every consonant occurrence, but like Wayoshi, I wish it was $300 and $900.

Have the actual wedges been changed to $500 as well? I'd imagine so... That's an awful lot of $500s... Also, I've made a few minor changes to the default avatar gallery with the start of production of the new season...check them out.  |

I doubt it. If they are, then hopefully they'll be upgrading some of the other $500's. I think they'll retire the 1/2 Kia tags and put those two pieces in their former spots, which means the pink $900 is free again and no longer next to a penalty. Though I won't be surprised if a new "30" themed wedge will now be on the pink $300...

Not sure about actual wedge configurations. No more half Kia - now it's a Ford! Also, they are running clips from old episodes at the beginning of each episode.

New car sponsorship, huh... very well. If all 195 eps get this old clip treatment, that will more than make up for no specific week this season also. Hopefully it isn't just this week.
One thing to keep in mind is that an early (first by tapedate?) 1/2 car week was a $14999 Ford (Fiesta?).
Here's something maybe your friend will remember: was the prize puzzle always in R3 still? If so, was the PP chime still used?

Were the car tags explicit "1/2 Ford" tags or did they just say "1/2 Car" like when they offered the $14,999 Ford Fiesta on the first taped week last season?

I'll ask again: what about BR amounts? Was anything made of amounts higher than $50000?
EDIT: Now this I'm happy to see. The actual "1/2 CAR" tags looked nicer anyways like actual license plates. More variety, maybe more sponsorship $$$ for the budget also somehow. Just keep the price reasonable (and I do trust they will - maybe 17500 max and 14500 min) for minimal effects week to week on games.

Is that no new BR amounts, or the regular Wheel just remaining roughly exactly the same?
On gift tag and WC, would your buddy remember where the WC / gift tag were if I described them? At latest, WC is next to the black BANKRUPT near white LOSE A TURN, gift tag is next to the blue 1/2 Car nearby.
