When I was in the studio audience in Culver City in 2010 and 2011 when the SPIN ID was announced the announcers would go "And the SPIN ID number (pause, no number said in studio) belongs to Susan M of Ohio. Congratulations Susan you have 24 hours to claim your prize". Now to be honest I don't remember if the name and state of the winner announced in studio was that of the person when the episode aired on television. But I do remember them using a different name each time. They did insert certain blank placeholders during the show as well for closed captioning and what not so I wonder why they'd announce the name and state of a person if it actually wasn't the person.

Nobody here has been to a taping yet, so that's unknown. Remember that all of the information we have now is secondhand...and I doubt the source was looking for every little thing like we would. Please wait until one of our members actually attends a taping to ask questions like this. Thanks!

Yay. EDIT: Also...shameless plug time... ...this would be a good time to note the currently in revamp mode of my compendium. There's a new feature I'm in the process of constructing: a historical schedule of every Wheel of Fortune nighttime episode (to which the three announced weeks have been added, BTW, this is in no way to rival Mario's excellent, more detailed schedule, this is just so I can restore my sanity when it comes to dating things. Our upcoming season's weeks have been added, and Seasons 1-2 are "complete." If you have a theme from Season 19 and before, well...follow the instructions on the compendium.

Nice concept (especially since this isn't a repeat of a S29 theme), and great set, but I dread what the $1,000 Toss Ups will be for a rather obscure theme like this. "Thing: SOUTHERN ACCENT"?

Yeah, my bad...either you accidentally got rid of the tags that makes it mod text or whoever put that in failed. Ah well. As for the puzzle...longest Toss-Up I've ever seen.

While typing in the Facebook link, I literally thought "some sort of variant on an early season week last year", at least for the set. Taking Bed & Breakfast as valid credit for that, thank you very much.

There was a Facebook update that said it was the week of December 3, but it was apparently taken down.

The gift tag looks like it's still on the pink $300.
The scoreboards were always one big screen, they just took the cover off.

They were never one screen. I think they might have changed it to remove the bordering and then made it look "seamless;" a pretty common practice.
Also, I think we now know what the wheel looks like now. I'll draw something up soon.

JUST what the doctor ordered, thank you.
Now... have any of the raw amounts changed? I can't be definitive on this wide shot, but I do have to say yellow $500 does not particularly look like a 5.
EDIT: Now actually, we've seen them adjust cardboard-for-$$$ wedges to match, mainly $500, after that one Road Trip week in S28. So I think you have to say that green $300 and green $600 have become green $500s, which in turn means blue $500 #1 and yellow $500 must change... if 500 indeed goes to 900, to preserve balance blue $500 #1 must become a blue $300, which would be #2 and symmetrically close to BANKRUPT #2, just 6 wedges away. It's possible - blue $500 #1 and 2 are exactly that quarter-Wheel difference.
But this all begs the question still... why was the WC and one 1/2 Car reorganized? Especially the WC? For a roughly perfect rotation spinner, s/he can snap up the WC then immediately use it!

Looks like these are the changes:
-Pink $900 is reduced to $700, adding it back to the wheel. -Blue $500 and green $300 swap values. -Pink $300 is increased to $500. -Yellow $500 is $900. -Green $600 is $500.
Keep in mind some of these are guesses. I'll draw up a wheel soon.

Oh yeah, gift tag also has the 500/letter, which would explain that pink $700 we thought we made out. Everything is then perfectly balanced and consistent with what we have.
EDIT: Wait, no...
Pink $900 becomes WC-less and is now $700: -200 Pink $300 still has gift tag and is now $500: +200 Green $600 now has WC and is now $500: -100 Yellow $500 is now adjusted to avoid double $500 and is apparently $900: +400 NET: +300
Blue $500 #1 now needs to be adjusted to... $200??

Also, about the WC moving...keep in mind that a spin about perfect rotation could end up going more and immediately hit top dollar. EDIT: Here are the wheels (not exactly as how they look, but here is everything...) Bare: Everything on: Credits to Mario and wg. ANOTHER EDIT: Thoughts... Not too bad, we do get a net gain, so we'll take whatever we've got. Problems: -THREE GREEN 500s, and two very close to one another. We haven't had three wedges of exactly the same color/value since 1998. I thought that was GONE. Oh well, I guess time to change the colors around. -Not to mention, we get another repeater with the blue $300. Blah. -Not liking only one $600 on the wheel. Bear in mind, I kind of hastily made these, so the quality isn't as great, but...
