How was that person able to get that picture? When I attended a taping last year (which coincidentally, was also "Fun & Fit"), no electronic devices were allowed to be out at any time. Although it could've been taken by a stand-by contestant, because it is to the far right of the set, where contestants waiting to play sit.

That pic was probably taken by a contestant or stand by contestant. That's exactly where I sat when I was a standby, and I was sitting with all the other contestants.

I agree though, they made it very clear that our phones were to be turned off. Repeated it several times. I definitely was not going to be the one to break that rule.

Not yet. Probably wouldn't be best to ask a contestant that anyway since they don't see the monitors as much as the audience does.

There are actually monitors hanging from the ceiling that the audience and contestants can watch during the taping. So we get to see the advertisers, SPIN IDs, etc as well.

^ Aren't the actual SPIN IDs done in post though? When I was at a Chicago taping, Charlie just said "If this is your SPIN ID... [pause]… you're a winner" and the graphic on the screens was blank.

In case you're curious, the "drop down" score readout at the start of R3 was also done in post. Being at a Wheel taping is fun, but I know Sanam, Mario and I ready to be on the OTHER side of the stage.  |
