Thanks so much for the encouraging words and good vibes! And that's wonderful news about Kevin getting the letter!
For the written exam, it all feels like a blur now...but I do know that I got all four puzzles correct in the "Phrase" category. In addition, I got maybe three or four more puzzles, for a total of maybe 7 or 8. If I remember correctly, two of the other categories were, "Living Things," "Proper Names," but I can't recall the last category. They didn't give us any audible time warnings, and those five minutes flew by! I know my score wasn't great, but I'm hoping that my personality and enunciation won them over. Fingers crossed!

atlantagirl , again same here! Too funny. I got an 8 on the written and thought that meant I bombed it.... until I talked to others during the break. There were many that got 5 or less and one with nothing filled in, yikes!

Nice to see that they're making up for the lack of Northeastern events from last year.  The Mount Pocono, PA event will be the closest the Wheelmobile has ever been to New York City, and will probably be the only time for a while they're this close. It's less than a two-hour drive away. Any NYC fans who have had trouble getting an audition at the right time, I'd really try to go to this event. |

I always wondered how they picked how far to cast the net when sending out the invites for the final audition (something I should've asked). If I had to guess, I'd say they keep a database of people they'd like to invite and then when they pick a city, they go to the database and pull up say, "100 results within X miles of zip code #####" (zip of the audition site) and build the list from there.

I attended the AC auditions this past weekend. Never made it onstage, though... and I tried FOUR times.  Still, it was a lot of fun, and I'm hoping they'll come back around real soon. |
