Wait...back to my thought on showing Michelle's win as the flashback clip...aren't they preselected and shown at the time of taping? I've heard Pat reference them as Vanna and he walk out. They would have to pick that at random not knowing the outcome of the game; unless they want to change it in post-production.

They could change it post-production if Pat never made any comments about the original clip, or they could even re-shoot the entire intro.

Chad Mosher's put the promo on his YouTube channel, and news has spread to The Game Show Forum where two people took "the end of this month" to mean "the last New York show" despite the fact I clearly stated the event had no relevance at all to the New York shows...except it kinda did, since the last tapings of the season went 2-18.
A couple of quotes here. First, from "jjman920":
Should I tell them that we do in fact know the exact episode it'll happen in? And that we've known it since February?
Second, from Matt Ottinger:
A subsequent post suggests that Wheel was airing the New York shows specifically for May sweeps, which brings two things to mind: 1) I thought the entire month of May was sweeps. 2) You failed, Harry.
/all this, plus it's my 800th post

UPDATE: The bloggie this week is listed as THURSDAY, and I believe I can match up her orange undershirt at 0:22 of the promo.

So, they did swap shows? I was fixing to ask since the red dress Vanna is wearing in the promo is shown for Friday's show on Vanna Style and in the promo, Pat & Vanna's end chat is about things that have happened to them over the past 30 years and there is no confetti on the floor.

^ Great find, I think that about seals it.
Kev suggested a good theory to me - Friday night people are going to be out, so make the switch and put it on a work night, but still the latest work night of the week to stretch it out.

UPDATE: The bloggie this week is listed as THURSDAY, and I believe I can match up her orange undershirt at 0:22 of the promo. Yeah, that's her. Kev suggested a good theory to me - Friday night people are going to be out, so make the switch and put it on a work night, but still the latest work night of the week to stretch it out. And if so, we've been played for dupes for the past four-and-a-half months -- the birdies say "Oh, it's this date!" only for it to be swapped at what feels like the last second. Honestly, it feels like it was swapped solely because we knew the exact date, and it wouldn't be the first time a game show has done something specifically to troll/insult/piss off/flame the viewing audience. And before anybody says "Well, it's May sweeps and-" May sweeps ended last Wednesday. There's a few variables here -- either they did swap episodes (which makes us look like saps), or it's airing on its originally-scheduled day and they're going to huge lengths to make it look otherwise (and one need only look at Season 28 to see they're not afraid of doing that). Either way, just when I thought Friedman couldn't get any worse, he proves me wrong.

Or, better yet, and this is a stretch...maybe it's a repeat of last season: the back-to-back $100k winners. Maybe, just maybe, the $100k (or million) is won next Monday and they didn't want to show back-to-back winners. It's just a thought...

Then kindly explain to me how I'm somehow wrong in my theories, since there's precedent for record-breaking shows airing on a Friday (that lady who won $69,000+ in the front game earlier this season comes to mind, plus that was one of the events spoiled plugged in that week's promo).
I talked with Prizes (IIRC) about this last night, and he agreed that it felt like the show was trying to discredit BAV since they know about us, we knew the airdate, and it was pretty much about two days ago that they swapped the episode slots (or at the very least made it look like they did).
That or Prizes was just humoring me, but precedent suggests he wouldn't do that.

Because maingame records and highest non-million records are geeky things very few care about. Yes they did hype up 69300 mildly, but we had no idea the 100k W the following week included a super high maingame until an hour before it aired (due to a third-party article).
Million on the other hand, is Sony's chance to hype and maximize the number of people to watch (and hopefully gain new long-term viewers). The fact is on a Friday night, not as many people will be home at 7pm watching Wheel, that's why they often bury the hardest BRs on Fridays (which makes me wonder what we'll see on this Friday show in 2 days).
Enough of this show is against this site propaganda, please. This isn't TPiR.

I have to agree with Wayo and Kev here. That's sounds most logical to me. Sorry, Jon. Don't kill me...

Another "so dumb, maybe it's right" possibility: it's the 30th.

Or, maybe, the event is now happening on the 30th because of the whole "30" deal this week?
(I don't take credit for this theory. Wayo PMed it to me.)

That'd be right in line with the other dumb decisions of this braintrust, but the question still hangs of why it was only rescheduled this past weekend instead of, say, a couple of weeks ago.
I still have my suspicions about their wanting BAV to be discredited -- not necessarily because of the date issue, but because of what some users here (especially myself) have said about some of Friedman's decisions.
Regardless, the worst part is that the use of "so dumb, maybe it's right" in relation to Wheel isn't seen as something weird to say. I think that says a lot more about Wheel's current regime than even they may think.

We don't know if it was rescheduled this past weekend. It could have been decided as far back as the week after it taped.

We don't know if it was rescheduled this past weekend. It could have been decided as far back as the week after it taped. Fair enough. It just strikes me as being really odd, that's all. Really, the only reason I had the theory of "they haven't rescheduled it and are going to great lengths to make it seem like they did" is based on precedent, mostly how they handled Season 28. I think that's far more credible than Daniel's belief that Wheel hates us. Also fair. Again, it strikes me as being really odd since they know we exist. They might not hate BAV as a whole, but if they still tolerate me after all I've said against them...well, that'd be pretty dumb because if I were them I'd have banned me long before now.

Not to sound mean, Dan, but I don't think they'd do stuff to piss us off simply because of what one person (you) says. It might be different if there were a majority in agreement...

No, I don't think they'd do anything to piss off BAV simply because of what I've said. I said that if there was any non-contestant user on this forum that the show would have ample reason (justified or not) to hate more than anyone else on this site, chances are pretty good that it'd be me.
