The first time I saw anything about it was Buzzerblog's mention of it on FB. Just saying you may wanna watch wheel. Then I had to see a spoiler tag on the home page here. Then the promo video on Wheel's FB page. It's times like these when I wish I wasn't such a game show fanatic then I would be greatly surprised for tomorrow. Of course things can't be so simple. *insert 1000000 expletives*

Well BAV Boards doesn't have a FB page if I'm not mistaken. I usually don't pay attention to the first two sections on the homepage. But noticed the words spoilers after seeing Buzzerblog's post. Then I kinda put two and two together and figured that was probably the case but was hoping against hope that it was something small like another $100K win (which I never hear anything about until actually watching one of those nights).

I wish BuzzerBlog wouldn't give all these "friendly warnings" so far in advance. They even do this for many $100K wins as well...

Disappointed that they switched it since I have to work Thursday night and I'm off Friday. Guess that means I'll have all day to talk about the fallout.  I know you've got to make it so people watch the moment, but when you try too hard, what's the point? I mean even if you aren't an avid follower of this show or game shows, Wheel all but spoiled it. From the promo, to the article posted in this thread, to the tweet posted, it's been made so public to casual viewers just as much. "We've already told you what happens. Now if you could just spend 30 minutes watching what we spent 3 days telling you...that would be great." You'd think this magnitude of spoiling would do more harm than good (ratings wise), but I don't work in the industry, so I wouldn't know. |
