Well, after months of waiting, and waiting, and waiting, I finally received my make-up date for the final audition in Raleigh, North Carolina! My final audition will be in early March of this year. Hopefully, there will be nothing stopping the final audition, this time around, and that it can go on as planned.
I will keep you all updated as to when the final audition happens, and how it went for me!

I was supposed to go in September as well but I got to audition somewhere else.

Hi, everyone. This is acwof. Next Thursday is my final audition for Wheel of Fortune. Even though I read the original post in this thread (Thank you ten96lt for all the information about how the final audition works), as well as other people's final audition experiences, I have a few questions that I would like to ask. 1. How early should I arrive at the audition if I want to be able to sit in the front row? I don't want to get there too early, but I would like to get there early enough to where I am one of the first people waiting for the audition to start, and can be one of the first to enter in order to sit in the front row. I don't mind waiting a long time, though, if I do have to get there really early. 2. There are some videos on Facebook of previous Wheel of Fortune final auditions that I have been watching to give myself an idea as to how the final audition will work. This might be a stupid question, but if I write down all the puzzles I've seen on those videos, and try to remember the puzzles that were used just incase they're used at my final audition, would that be cheating, and should I really be doing this? 3. I won a Wheel of Fortune Blinky pin for being up on stage at the Wheelmobile event in Durham, NC last April. I was thinking about wearing it at the final audition to show my gratitude for the pin. Do you think it would be alright to wear the pin? I don't want to come off as a kiss-up or anything; I just want to show my gratefulness for the pin. Thank you in advance for your answers! - acwof

I don't mind waiting a long time, though, if I do have to get there really early. 45 minutes early should be plenty. It's wouldn't be your fault that all of the puzzles are repeats from a recent season (33 I think?). Get an advantage all you want. Just make sure you don't show it by trying to pull off a no-letter or one-letter solve. They want you to play as much as possible. Get all the multiples. And don't say anything like, "I remember this from the show". I'd wear it but leave the blinking lights off because they might be distracting.

So, I am now finished with my final audition, and I thought I would share with you all as to how it went. I probably should, because there is something important that I need to share regarding final auditions.
My audition was at 10:00 AM EST, and at around 9:15, I went to the ballroom section of the hotel where final auditions were, and waited for the audition to start. We actually were let inside really early, probably because they needed to use that time to take roll, go over the application, etc.
We were shown a video that consisted of a montage of clips from Wheel of Fortune set to Katy Perry's "Firework". After the video, the contestant coordinators introduced themselves, and then we were shown a video of Pat and Vanna welcoming us to the audition, and giving their advice about the audition.
The CC's then went over how the audition would work. A puzzle was loaded up, and then they began calling people up to play. I was called near the end of the third puzzle, which was IVY AND FANTASY LEAGUE (Same Name). I guessed some letters, bought some vowels, and solved for an autographed picture of Vanna White and a baseball cap.
I was never called up again after that, though some people were called up a second time. On one puzzle in particular (STRIKES AND SPARES- Fun & Games), the CC's had to remind everyone to remember the category when we had a rally of duds.
Now, this next part is important.
One of the puzzles used in the first part of the audition was a CROSSWORD PUZZLE. The CC's even told us that if we were to solve the Crossword Puzzle, we had to say just what was up there, and to not add anything like "and". Thankfully, the person who tried to solve did not add anything, and solved the puzzle like how it was supposed to be solved.
After everyone had a turn or two to play, we were given the test. Out of the sixteen puzzles, I think I was able to solve at least 10/16 puzzles, maybe even 12/16. We then had a 30-45 minute break, and after the break, the CC's came back and asked for some people to stay. I was asked to stay for the next part of the audition.
We were in small groups, playing more intensive rounds of the game, and then we had to introduce ourselves. My group went last, and I started the final puzzle of the audition. I guessed a bad R to start off, but control went back to me, and after more letter guessing and vowel buying, I solved LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION (Person). I then introduced myself. After another brief break, the CC's thanked us for coming, and the audition was over.
I think the audition went pretty well on my end. I followed their instructions (smile, clap, just say the letter when guessing letters, etc.), and I think my introduction went well, too. However, on two occasions, I did ask to spin before all of the vowels I bought showed up, and they had to tell me to wait. I hope this didn't affect me too much, in terms of my evaluation.
Other than the Crossword Puzzle being added into the puzzle mix, everything else seemed to have remained the same as past final auditions. I hope my experience helps anyone else out who has a final audition coming up.
Now, I wait 2 weeks to see if I've been accepted into the WOF Contestant Pool.

I got the same package of WOF cap and Vanna Autograph and I wound up getting the letter. If you don't get anything in two weeks don't panic, a lot of people including me have gotten the letter 3 weeks after the audition. Here's hoping.

I went to the wheel mobile last year. I was called on stage, had a great interview, and even solved the puzzle. I received an audition email and attended yesterday’s audition as well. The 3:00 pm one. The whole experience was quick. I have no idea how I did. I stood once to call letters and I was able to call multiple letters until I landed on lose a turn. That part of the audition went fine for me but what I messed up was the test. I completely froze and could not get my brain to turn on. Has anyone else scored poorly on the test and still receive a letter?

I'm so glad it went well!!! Them telling you to wait shouldn't affect your evaluation at all. They told me that once, too, and I still got my letter. I agree...it took over 4 weeks for my letter to come and I was in a constant state of anxiety about it! haha. So don't give up hope As far as the test goes, I know for sure I had gotten 6 right for sure, with partials of others giving me extra points. I know of other people who only got 4 right and got chosen. So I really believe that your performance during the gameplay is the most important component the CCs look at. Best of luck to both of you!!

I sat next to acwof (who did a fantastic job) at the Raleigh audition. It took me quite a while to get called to start a puzzle so a lot of nervous energy. It was very fun, but somewhat frustrating, especially once you know the puzzle answers and you can’t do anything about it. Once I got called, I was able to uncover several letters but eventually bought an incorrect vowel to lose my turn. The coordinator did tell me to wait for the dollar amount before calling a letter (nervous energy} but otherwise had no issues. Since I was in the front, I really made sure to clap like a seal and smile tbe whole time. I got 6 correct on the test and filled out 3-4 partial answers on others before time ran out. I did ask someone who took the same test and she said she got maybe 3 correct. My name wasn’t called for the post-test round. So, not certain but hoping for some good news in a few weeks—we shall see! it was a great experience and the coordinators were very cool.

One thing I will say, though, about the final audition is that I was surprised that I was asked to stay for the next round of the audition, because as of 2015, the people that are asked to stay are mainly those that didn't have much of a chance to show their worth, and the CC's have not made a decision as to whether or not if those people are worthy of being on the show.
For example, we had one lady (I think this is the same person tcnc is referring to in his post above) who only got called up once, guessed a wrong letter on her first (and only) turn, and never got called up again. She was also asked to stay for the next part.
Since I called a fair amount of letters, showed a lot of enthusiasm, and did pretty well on the written test, I didn't think that I would be asked to stay, because I thought I left enough of a positive impression on them.
I hope that being asked to stay, even if you think you made a great impression during the first part of the audition, is still a good thing.

Acwof it sounds like you did a great job! I remember a guy at the wheelmobile who wore a flashy wardrobe, a plaid jacket if I remember correctly and he won a blinking pin. Was that you? He seemed very excited to be there and was definitely memorable. I brought my neighbor and 3 month old son to the wheelmobile and almost left right as they called the last group and wouldn’t you know it, they called my name!
I took my husband with me to the second audition because they were looking for couples and veterans. And we are both veterans, he’s actually still active duty. I’m hoping that would help us get a show. He did pretty well and even did better on the test than I did. Good luck to all and I wish everyone could get the letter.

That guy was selected at the Crabtree Valley Mall; I was selected at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham. Now that you mention it, though, part of me wonders if he made it to the final audition, because I don't remember seeing him at my audition. - acwof

I'm auditioning tomorrow!! I'm not sure if it's a "final audition" as many have called it. I created an audition video in early Jan (very organic, unedited) and received an invite to audition last week!! I am beyond excited and cant wait to rock the audition!!! Any pointers are greatly appreciated!!!!!
