Posted here by suggestion of MarioGS. www.ebay.com/itm/1988-WHEEL-OF-FORTUNE-GAME-SHOW-RADIO-CITY-MUSIC-HALL-COMMEMORATIVE-PROGRAM-BOOK-/321144904514In very good quality. The book contains profiles of Merv, Pat, Vanna, Nancy, Dick Carson, and the King brothers. These are followed by a six-page "trivia quiz", two pages called "Wheel of Fortune Puzzles" (no idea at all), and something that I'm pretty sure is a then-current list of affiliates. As of this writing, it has just under four days left. Price starts at $9.95 plus $3.77 shipping. It seems to have a good amount of stuff in it (granted, not as much as the 1990s newsletters, but still), so I'd love to see it go to one of our own. (And before anyone asks, no I can't bid on this myself. Nowhere near enough money to spare to do so. )

Here's something else I found through Dan, a CD promoting a radio version of Wheel. What I find intriguing is that it has a clean WOF theme as one of the tracks on the CD. The question is, which theme? The description states that it runs for 2:00, which is the approximate length of the 1983 theme. The picture of Vanna makes the CD appear to be from around 1997. The '97 theme runs just a few seconds over two minutes, but could this be the clean '94 theme that has yet to be found online? If anyone could ask the seller which theme is on the CD, complete with links to all WOF themes prior to 2000, that would be great. (or just buying it. I'm interested in it as long as it's the '94 theme, but I don't have an eBay account of my own) Better hurry, though. It ends on Monday just before 4:30 PM ET. www.ebay.com/itm/WHEEL-OF-FORTUNE-Vanna-White-Radio-promo-CD-with-theme-and-sound-effects-/200935331459

I do have an Ebay account, and although I'm trying to save up for a new iPod Touch, I'll see what I can do about the CD. This doesn't mean I'll be able to to do it, but hopefully someone else here will. If they do, please let us know. I'll try to keep watch.

Like I said, I'll bid on the CD if the theme on it is the clean 1994 theme. I'm just hoping someone can ask the seller about it.

Well, they do ship the NYC program worldwide, Woffan08, so you might as well go for that, especially since I just made a bid on the CD.
If I recall correctly, the NYC program was sold on Ebay before, so there's a real good chance the program will be sold again.

There is a bid placed now, so thanks to whoever did it. There's about 3 hours left on it, and 2 days left on the Radio City program.

Yep, that was me. If your cousins want to help out, Woffan08, please, by all means.

I feel bad though. I know you want to save up for the iPod, but I don't want to make you lose the CD. If anyone knows me, you know that I give stuff away, so I'll put everything up on YT.

Is the CD worth it to anyone if the theme ends up not being the '94 theme? The first two tracks seem interesting, but I would only want it for the clean '94 theme. Is there no way to ask the seller about it (though not a great chance he'll respond before the auction ends)? Either way, thanks, germanname!

I personally want the CD because I've never heard of Radio WOF before (how did you manage to come across the press release Mario?)

I saw that the back of the sleeve had the logo for a company called MarketLeader, plus a URL of marketleader.net/vanna, which is of course defunct and is not archived anywhere, so I Googled "marketleader radio wheel of fortune" and that was the first result.

Yep, and I just paid for it too. $12.25. As for the program, I'm indifferent about that since it can be shipped outside the U.S. and especially since I got the CD for you guys.
The thing is now that I read it was free, but does it mean it's also public domain?

Thanks to Mario's press release find, I was able to find the e-mail of Beth Tepper, the woman who came up with and was in charge of Radio WOF. I had a very small e-mail conversation with her, if any one is interested. I am in bold: Hello Beth! Recently, I came across an item on eBay that was a promo CD for Radio WOF that was sent free of charge to various radio stations across the US. I have become interested in learning more about this on-air promotion contest and would like to learn how this contest worked and any related information on the game. I would also like to ask if there is any possibility of receiving one of the promo CDs, if they still exist? Thank You!Wow! We did this feature/promotion a million years ago!How funny. We are currently not doing it Miss it – it was fun! All the best, Beth Wow! I did not expect an e-mail that quick! Certainly faster than many emails I get! I'm assuming there are no CDs available? That's okay. Thanks for the response! No CD's – but you made my day. : ) Thank You! I promise this will be the last time I will bug you Would you happen to remember how the game would be played on radio?Wow – too old to remember. : ) This conversation happened within 30 minutes. She is very enthusiastic about the game. You can tell she is excited with it.

Is the CD worth it to anyone if the theme ends up not being the '94 theme? The first two tracks seem interesting, but [snip] You already answered the question on my behalf. It's worth it to me because I've never heard of this and I really don't know how it'd work. Sure, there's five episodes out there in audio form (two from 1975, one from '80, two from '81), but those are recordings from a visual-based medium rather than something specifically created for an audio-based medium. Something happened and my cousins could not do it. germanname won the cd. Maybe they can bid on the program book instead? If I recall correctly, the NYC program was sold on Ebay before, so there's a real good chance the program will be sold again. Speaking from a historically-minded standpoint, I'd rather have the program book be in one place than floating around (and possibly deteriorating) or possibly even sinking back into the ether. Someone here getting ahold of it would also get the info it contains out there (like Coug and the 1990s Off Camera newsletters), along with the possibility of scans.
