Can confirm it is spendable even. I hit the $10,000 once, called a correct letter, and solved for less than $10,000 because of vowel buying.

^I know! It surprised me, too! The bad thing is it took me ahead about 20 levels but I actually can't move out of Tokyo until I collect those dang souvenirs.

The oreo wedge never works in my favor, but I've hit the yellow $10,000 a few times in the "Fast Play" tournaments.

A lot of the puzzles seem to have a lot of international flavor because of the different locations. At least they have the thumbs up/down feature now.

Milonga is a term for a place or an event where tango is danced. People who frequently go to milongas are sometimes called milongueros. According to Wikipedia at least
