A new licensed Wheel of Fortune app (not a port of the 30th anniversary app) was recently released for Android devices via Google Play. It's free to download. You can download it here: bit.ly/1t3t7kK

It's not available in the U.S. and that's gonna be a big problem.

Looking at the screens, I wouldn't be surprised if Scopely releases it for iOS. Even if they don't, my mother has a tablet that runs on Android, but she doesn't use it for stuff like this. I may want to think about getting one for myself sometime.
Apparently, this looks like it uses the Season 31 rules, so this may very well be the first game to use the Express wedge. As for the Wheel's colors on one of the shots, hmm... interesting. [chuckles]

It is also not available in Spain... Where the app is available? Because I think that it's time to renew the puzzles, I'm tired of the 30th anniversary app ones (specially of the Toss-Ups).

So you can't get Ruleta over there in Spain, but really, you can't get it here in the States, 2751?
Man, I want it on iOS, man, come on! Please! ¡Por Favor! Bitte! Well, the big thing is right now is that I've seen a lot of 1-Star reviews over at Google Play, and noting that this is only the first version...
From Scopely Studios, it's Android's Game! TON! OF! PROBLEMS!
I think when Scopely fixes this up on Android and gets positive reviews from foreign markets, they'll release it on iOS. They have serveral titles that are on Android and iOS already. So, it shouldn't be a question of if it's gonna be on iOS. It's gotta be on it eventually.
Hopefully by December, it'll be out, and maybe, they'll even change the Wheel to Season 32 style (I'm not counting on Señor Azul Fünfhundertfünfzig to happen, thoe). Now remember when the 30th Anniversary app came out in December 2012? It comes out in New Zealand (with Jace Gunn) like - what? - hours before it came to the States, right? I remember that. That's why I hope Scopely's game comes out in the States on iOS by December of this year.

Does anyone know if it's available in Canada? I tried downloading it, but there wasn't enough space on the phone to download it.
Also, to the admins, if one of us does get a hold of the app, would it be illegal to PM others the game if they want it?

Assuming that it would have downloaded without the space constraint, then you should be able to get it. Also, one of the reviewers is from Canada.
And please do not send people copies of the game, even if it is free.

I wouldn't do that either.
Even so, would it be okay if we posted game shots on the Wikia, MarioGS? Not just this game, but any of the computer and video game adaptions of the show?

That's fine, as long as it's OK with the Wiki admins.

Just got the app. It doesn't work.
When you first run the app, you play a tutorial round against 2 other players (computers). It shows you the spin, buy, and solve functions, prizes on the wheel (which was a directors' chair, so I'm assuming prizes in this game are like the ones you win in the XBOX version where some are props and sets) and how to pick letters. The puzzle is WHEEL OF FORTUNE. You don't get to play this round, rather you have to follow the instructions the game gives you (ie. when beginning the round, you must spin first. It won't allow you to solve).
After that, it brings you to the main menu where you get to select which set you play in. You have to earn the other sets by collecting either enough 'tickets' or cash. So you select a set (Hollywood is the only one available from the getgo) and...
NOTHING. The app keeps bringing me back to the Android's main screen. Argh!

Well, at least it's somewhat playable. What's the Wheel like? Mind posting some screenshots, maybe?

I'll see what I can do for screenshots tomorrow.
As for the wheel, it's very fluid, although I don't know if it's "rigged" (predermined lands). You swipe the wheel to spin it. When I played the tutorial, I only got 2 spins: $2500, and the director's chair prize.

I meant in terms of the layout. Is it accurate for Season 31? Does it have all the add-ons and in the right places?

I didn't expect it to be the S32 Wheel. That Wheel is accurate for S31, however (except with the second Bankrupt replacing the TDV and the former purple $600 returning, and no Free Play).

Like I said before, I was not expecting the Season 32 layout either. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Scopely didn't know about that layout yet. Now I can understand the rigging for the tutorial, but a better idea would be making a Wheel with just cash values (No Bankrupt, Lose A Turn, not even Free Play).

Hi, I'm actually the Product Manager at Scopely for the app. We only released it briefly in Canada to test some things out. Sorry if a) you weren't able to play or b) it didn't meet expectations. We will be releasing it again to test and should do a global launch on Android and iOS early next year. I've attached screenshot of a work in progress menu for authenticity. You'll also find me on the company website. The game will largely follow the most recent seasons rules, but for those that played you'll see that there are some critical areas we are diverging from the show. 1) You don't keep your turn with a correct guess. Seems crazy I know. But imagine a scenario where you go to play someone and you never get to play. Or imagine a scenario where you start, spin the wheel, lose a turn, and then never get to play. Is that how you want to spend time during that commercial break?
2) Not all wedges will be on the wheel at launch. No mystery, no express. You'll be playing human opponents in the game, but it'll be their saved replay so it's hard to handle those wedges. Anyway, where I'm going with this is if you want to provide feedback, feel free to use the forums as I'll keep an eye on them. Andrew

Hi Andrew- First of all, welcome aboard! Second, thanks for taking time out of what I'm sure is your extremely busy day to take a moment to chat with us about this game. I'm sure that, by working together (to an extent, obviously), you guys can create and release a product that everybody can be happy with. Not many developers go out of their way to reach out to their prospective audience like this, and that simple act is to be commended. Likewise, to the rest of you- please take this opportunity to provide feedback. However, please keep in mind that Scopely is developing this app for profit, meaning they are trying to reach a wide audience, so please don't get too obsessive about little nitpicky details.
