Hi all,
Don't want to post without violating board rules. We're going to be running a closed beta test in the United States on both Android and iOS in a few weeks. Is it okay if I put the link here inviting players to access it?

I'd be interested too. I have iOS, and I'm also going to have a new phone within the next few days that will run on Android. So I should definitely be ready by the time you have it out. BTW, what versions of Android will this be able to run on?

Awesome. Didn't want to break any forum rules. There's a pre-screen questionnaire beforehand which is found here: www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2331030/a1544ef0a5f5. You should receive an invite to the beta in the next couple weeks. To anyone in Australia that's on this board. Apologies for the recent hiccups. We've done some big changes to the game.

The Android question is a difficult one to answer as there are 3000k+ variations worldwide. Any mid to higher end device we'll support but no promises. We'll also be launching on Amazon for any users there.

^ TBH, is any of it okay if the original artists weren't asked and/or credited? Just seems like the polite thing to do...?

^ As you should be. But did they ask you? For the surprise wedge either? Weird how andrewrose just glossed over that...

I doubt Andrew was in charge of the graphic design. I notice the $10K wedge on that picture seems to be mine, too. I'm OK with that, but if anything, I would have liked to have known so I could make an improved version. I think I speak for myself and wheelgenius when I say that we're glad to provide any graphics help.

No, I don't think he was. If I were in his position though, I would have said I would check into it or something. But if you guys aren't complaining, I'm not!

Hi all, Few things. 1) I didn't gloss over the surprise wedge, I specifically noted it's from season 14 (http://wheeloffortunehistory.wikia.com/wiki/File:Season_14_Surprise_Wedge.png) which is in the same pink color. We've since added the sparkles effect but at the time of the screenshot they weren't in place yet. Apologies if there was confusion there. Current implementation is below. 2) With respect to the $10k wedge in its original implementation it was gold which is what we used. That wheel and the in-game wheel is compared in the screenshot 3) With respect to the center icon, I don't know, I actually hadn't seen those assets until you posted. If that has been taken without permission very sorry I'll look into it today.

Both wedges look very nice. I like how the dollar sign on the $10,000 wedge has serifs. Can't wait for the beta. Are you still accepting ideas for wedges?

Judging by the pictures you posted in the link, Bill, I am a bit surprised that there are 200 increments in the 1,000 to 4,000 range, while there are 500 increments from the 4,000 to 10,000 range, which does exclude the $1,250 and $1,500 wedges, which I would love to see be included.

Andrew got back to me with some stuff. First of all, check this out. postimg.org/image/4y92gbnod/Second of all, he's told me about wedges that are apparently not unlike Spain's X2 and ½ Spaces. You got Multiplier which doubles the score, and then you got Zapper, which halves. Recently, I came up with an idea for a wedge that takes a random amount away from your round score. I originally named it "Bonk!" and "Boink!" inspired by those two quotes of Scout from Team Fortress 2. You can see the wedges below, but it turns out by coincidence they have come up with this idea titled "Cutting Board." germanname.deviantart.com/art/Wheel-of-Stuffness-47-562166198I also told him a few of my ideas. One of them is the Invincibility token. Another is having $1250 and $1500 as playable values. Before I tell you the last, I ask that you don't rejoice just yet. Andrew likes it, and Scopely may look into this. Anyway, the other idea is customizable layouts. So I may get my pink $5000 and purple $10,000 spaces from Tiger's 2004 Live Play prototype after all, but again, please don't get your hopes up just yet. Even if I have this past square one, it's far from the finish line.
