One Denver auditionee was given the big news by THE news.  kdvr.com/2015/09/27/local-firefighter-fights-his-way-onto-wheel-of-fortune/So it seems they really only chose 15 people specifically for the upcoming Denver week (or maybe 18). If that's really the case, you guys are really lucky since they only chose that many out of what I imagine would be around 120 people from both audition sessions. |

Thanks for posting the article Mario-- I remember that guy! I shook his hand after the audition; I thought he presented himself really well and did a good job in the games! I'm very happy to see he made it! That's interesting that they're reporting that there are only 15 of us who were picked. I remember one of the coordinators saying that they would consider us for all shows in addition to the Denver week, so who knows how many more of us there are that were ultimately picked from the Denver auditions. It will be interesting to see if any familiar faces show up as the season goes on, or if I'll be seeing many more familiar faces for Denver week! I still can't believe this will be a reality this year... Awesome! |

Nice piece on Lee the firefighter! It seems even more special and exciting to see that video! I'm actually excited for the wait to tape, kind of like waiting for an amazing vacation and researching the crud out of it! Thank goodness we have all the wheel experts to guide our exciting journey! |

I just was searching around a bit on Twitter, and I came across this video that a photojournalist for KDVR took of the final auditions back in September in Denver. Sort of gives an idea of the flow of what that first round in auditions looks like.

^ Whoa, looks so much like my audition 17 years ago except it appears the wheel has been updated to match the current one (is that a Free Play wedge I see?) and the puzzle board is no longer pen & paper but Flash or something of the like. And is that Jackie spinning the wheel? If so, that hasn't changed either!
