Season 31's Happy Father's Day week is being sandwiched in to air starting Wednesday at 12:30, right after College Week finishes off with another airing of the infamous "ACHILLES" episode. After that, the order picks up where it left off.

The cycle comes to an end next week with America's Game V and then straight to the last six eps of Season 30. No Season 31 Dad's Week this time since it was moved up to air last month leading up to Father's Day.
Because the final "week" is six filler episodes and not the usual five, the method of airing two weeks' worth of episodes start-to-finish each Monday to Friday (with weeks starting Mondays at 12:00 and Wednesdays at 12:30) gets a bit thrown off.
On Monday, July 17, Season 30's finale is at 12:00 followed by the start of the next cycle with Season 31's premiere at 12:30, so from then until the next incomplete week airs (should be the first America's Game week from November which normally only has three episodes shown), weeks will start Mondays at 12:30 and Thursdays at 12:00, with the second weeks' Friday episodes carrying over to Mondays at 12:00.

The two summer vacation episodes that aired yesterday on GSN were full of goofs. Must have been one of the last tape days of the season. Pat misplaced his cards during the first toss-up. A couple of mis-calls, Vanna misheard a letter that wasn't there so she just walked across the puzzle board and kept on going, and a couple of other brain farts. At one point Pat said "everyone just take a deep breath". Funny stuff.

More changes to skipped weeks this cycle.
So far, the current cycle has been the usual fare. Halloween week was skipped and the following America's Game week only had the Tuesday through Thursday shows. However, unlike the last two cycles, New Year's week is being skipped. We're going straight from Wheel Around the World to AG2 - 12/20/13 to 01/06/14. AG2 will have all five shows once again.
They're not skipping Winter Hideaways (1/27-31) this time. It was skipped last time but has been included outside of the holiday season before.

I finally have GSN at my new house - yay.
But it's not the HD channel, so Wheel and other modern shows are stretched out and squashed by black bars at the top and bottom - boo.
No holiday skips since New Year's. Both Valentine weeks were included this time, and of course Beaches Family Resorts Week continues to get skipped.
Wheel 6000 week starts this Wednesday at 12:00. Afterwards, for the first time, Happy Mother's Day week will be airing in its normal spot starting Friday 10/13 at 12:30. The first time it aired, it was moved to follow Happy Father's Day week at the very end of the first cycle. The second cycle didn't include it at all, and the third cycle moved it to air leading up to Mother's Day proper.

Two of the three years that GSN reran the 1988-89 syndie season, WOF was only on weekends. It left the daily schedule after 6/29/2001 and came back to the daily schedule on 10/13/2003. THey continued airing the 1989-90 season on weekends through 10/27/2001(Sat), on Sun 10/28/2001 they began airing the 1989-90 season. It would have taken just under two years to air the full 1988-89 season on weekends. I think they ran WOF daily for about a year in 2003-2004(they also put the 1997-98 season of J! back on the daily schedule and the 1984-85 season of LMAD on the daily schedule on 10/13/2003). SO they'd have run at least two cycles of it. I think Wheel continued on weekends in 2003-04 as well.

After Here Comes Summer week finishes, Halloween week will be airing starting Friday at 12:30 through Tuesday, but only the five shows from Halloween week itself and not the still-unaired sixth episode from the week after ( OAD 11/04/13, Syeeta/Josh/Krystin). After that, the rotation picks up where it left off with America's Game V (Nov. 1-3), Happy Father's Day (Nov. 3-7), and the last six episodes of Season 30 (Nov. 8-10). It hasn't shown up in listings yet, but the next cycle will presumably start Monday 11/13 at 12:00, which once again lines up the themes such that they won't overlap between weeks, which should last until the three-episode America's Game I comes up. You'd think they would have aired the sixth Halloween episode to follow Halloween week proper since it would have aired on November 1 and Pat had joked throughout the episode about the set not being taken down yet, IIRC. Really wish we knew why they don't air this episode. |

A new cycle began last Monday. Not counting the freeze for Halloween week, the last cycle aired 164 episodes (31 out of 39 full weeks, plus 3 episodes from the incompletely-aired America's Game I week, plus the 6 Season 30 episodes). Still blows my mind that GSN went through the trouble of blacklisting six random episodes of the season, yet not this one...  Wheel will not be seen on GSN on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, as GSN is airing special marathons of The Chase and Harvey Feud on the respective days starting at 12:00. Wheel will pick up where it left off on Monday 11/27 with Day 2 of Southern Hospitality week, OAD 10/08/13. After this point, aired weeks will now begin Wednesdays at 12:00 and Fridays at 12:30 until AG1 comes around again. |

Christmas rotation starts Monday at 12:30 through at least Christmas Day. It starts with the Friday show of America's Game I (11/08/13), which had a Christmas set and does not air with the other shows from that week during the rest of the year. At least this show airs at all, unlike the Monday show with the Halloween set.
Remember that Season 31's Secret Santa was a total of 13 shows rather than the current 10, with the remaining Thursday and Friday being a generic holiday theme.

For the first time since its GSN comeback last year, Wheel is getting a marathon.
12 consecutive episodes are airing on New Year's Day from 8AM-2PM. The normal rotation "freezes" once again and the marathon will consist of Winter Hideaways week, New Year's week, and strangely, the first two episodes of the subsequent America's Game II week sandwiched in between the first and second episodes of New Year's week. Those two episodes have been skipped before, so I wonder what makes them special since neither of them were from holiday sets. The other three AG2 shows will air across the days that follow, then we return to the normal rotation.

The Valentine weeks will be airing 2/8-15 after College Week finishes. Thursday 2/8 has the infamous Julian Batts episode at 12:00 followed by the start of Sandals Resorts Romance Week. So this is weird. It turns out GSN decided to pull Happy Father's Day week at the last minute and replace it with, of all things, Halloween week. They also switched Halloween's Monday show and AG5's Friday episode. Here's a wonderful way for Sony to air all those classic Wheel episodes The Steve Harvey Network wouldn't bother to air nowadays. Start their own version of BUZZR. They could also use it to air classic episodes of Jeopardy!, Pyramid, The Joker's Wild, Tic-Tac-Dough, The Dating Game, and The Newlywed Game. And like BUZZR they should air them with the original credits intact and not crunched for some promo they could air during any commercial break like GSN has been doing for years.
