^ I want a new theme too. When are they finally gonna get rid of the current one. It will have been in use for 12 years of this year.

Personally, I don’t think they should replace the current music package with the one used for GOAT. The GOAT think music I think sounds too heavy for normal competition and the annual tournaments (Teen Tournament, College Championship, ToC, and Teachers Tournament). I’d stick to the current theme music package, or if I had the music package refreshed, I would hire John Hoke to do it.
I think the reason the GOAT theme and think music are heavy sounding because it was a matchup of the top three Jeopardy! champions going head to head (Brad Rutter, Ken Jennings, and James Holzhauer).

Info about Jeopardy’s return:
1. Redesigned set (maybe just podiums, for social distancing) 2. Alex shaved his beard, AGAIN 3. Globe makes a return for the new logo
Info about Wheel’s return:
1. Same as 1. on J! (Again, could be only podiums and wheel) 2. $38K minimum (definitely...)
I’m just curious on how Mike Richards wants things done around here now that he’s executive producer.

^Do you have a source for the $38,000? I haven't seen that technically confirmed.

Here's what J!'s new set will look like come September: Presumably Wheel will also make changes to its look besides the social distancing redesign.

Of course Jeopardy! is promoting its new season and gladly showcasing its set changes, yet Wheel has posted nothing at all, like they’re ashamed they have to distance their podiums and make people spin the Wheel with a special tool. 🙄

Helps that the globe is used for the logo. I like Alex’s lectern, but I’m not a fan of the new look of the screen next to him.

I knew there wasn't going to be a completely new set like there was seven years ago, but I'm a bit surprised at the other cosmetic changes, in particular the golden arches, a darker backdrop, and the curved shapes being redone in different colors (although I remember the purple curved shape changing to red for tournaments). And I'm also surprised that the area in front of the game board and the lecterns has been lowered one level.
Another change that we didn't know until now, Ken Jennings is coming back but as a consulting producer and will make his own video clues.
That said, I wonder if the new podiums are going to be permanent or will we go back to the ones used since Season 30 once the pandemic is over.

you will love Jeopardy’s season 37 title card and set Again, I absolutely LOVE the new logo; 90s with a modern feel. And the set actually looks intimidating with the use of gray and blue. A couple things you’ll notice; the continents on the globe are kind of pixelated, and, if you compare the 1994 logo in a video with the new logo, the latter has its globe spinning the other way.

And we still don't have even a candid glimpse of Wheel's next title card...
Although I'd say there's a ~50% chance they won't change it from S37's. As much as I like that one, it's annoying that J! still changes their title cards every single season while Wheel reuses them some years.

While it was alright when they reused title cards back in the late 80s and early to mid 90s, I felt like around 2015 they started getting lazy with the them as well as the animations.

That’s actually a great question. Perhaps they might use the same stage for each theme week but add props to indicate the theme.

As much as I like that one, it's annoying that J! still changes their title cards every single season while Wheel reuses them some years. To be fair, Jeopardy! has gotten lazier with their title cards the past few seasons... while they've been different, they've been stylistically similar- rotate through categories, go to the logo on a pink/purple backdrop, then pan through the "O". Hell, the player intro graphics themselves are virtually unchanged since season 34.

Hell, the player intro graphics themselves are virtually unchanged since season 34. Pretty sure this is actually a design feature. According to a report by NewscastStudio, the colors of the opening graphics of the last few seasons were purposefully chosen to complement the colors of the studio. Now that the set lighting has changed, the title card graphics have been modified accordingly. This seems to have also been the case with the GOAT episodes earlier this year. Speaking of other changes, I'm also wondering if there will be a refresh with the music cues. It's hard to describe or even draw connections between the two, but the upbeat music wouldn't match the new "dark" look of the show. To the contrary, it's seems doubtful that the producers would have commissioned a new music package during a time when it would've been difficult to bring dozens of musicians together in the same room to rerecord the theme music.

I would say the opening title cards have always been chosen certain colors to match the set, ever since the series premiered in 1984. First, we had a blue globe with the Jeopardy logo engraved (later changed to red letters). Then in season 2 when the set was redone in different colors, the first week used a red globe with the Jeopardy! logo in blue, but then it was changed to white and red to better match the then-current set. And for the remainder of the 1985-1991 set’s run, we had a gold Jeopardy logo rotating on a blue globe. The globe would be updated with different shades of blue and yellow and more 3D looking during the first two seasons with the grid set. It was updated again during Season 11 into the form it maintained until the grid set was retired. Starting with the sushi bar set, the opening graphics changed with each new season, but had its colors such that it matched the set. It wasn’t until Season 17 that the player graphics also began to change every season to match the title card, although there are prior instances where the next season’s player graphics were the same as or similar to the ones used the season before. Season 19 retained the player graphics from Season 18. Then the ones used in Season 27 looked similar to Season 26 but in different shades of purple and teal and with thicker borders. Season 31 reused the player graphics from Season 30 but also slightly recolored. Now, about the music. Chances are they’re going to replace the current music package with the one used for the GOAT tournament. First of all, as per Jeopardy! tradition, the music package is refreshed every 11-13 years, and we’re already overdue for that. The current theme and think music debuted in Season 25. Second, Mike Richards is replacing Harry Friedman as the executive producer, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s new music. Also, the set changes from GOAT were carried over into the regular series. Third, because of the shutdowns, I don’t think musicians would’ve gotten together to record new music cues, and the GOAT theme music was recorded late last year as it was taped in December. Personally, I’d like the current theme music package to still be used for at least this season despite how long it’s been in use because I think the GOAT music is too heavy sounding for regular competition. Perhaps I wouldn’t mind it being used for the ToC or any special tournament where they bring back James, Brad, and several other ToC winners from past seasons.

J! just posted this on their twitter: Has every single, (not really) Jeopardy! logo. Compare the 90s globe with the 2020 globe. Another link: jeopardyhistory.fandom.com/wiki/Jeopardy!_Timeline_(syndicated_version)/Season_37 Apparently they know the Season 37 graphics, but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be true. Until September 14th. 👋🏿
