I didn't notice this until someone commented on another Wheel of Fortune recap site, but according to the T-Mobile Sweepstakes FAQs, one of the T-Mobile puzzles is airing on Election Day, and in presidential election years, Wheel gets pre-empted in most of the country.

Maybe they'll extend the entry period and replay the puzzle on Wednesday's show. They did something similar during the Wendy's sweepstakes back in 2011. On one of those days, Wheel was pre-empted on all the ABC O&O's by an Oprah retrospective special, so they showed that day's puzzle again on the next day's episode in addition to the actual puzzle for that day.
I really hope they don't delay a new episode to Saturday again. Not during College Football season. They really should have just filmed four episodes for the week and scheduled a random America's Game rerun for Election Day.

^ It was and a College Football game on ABC that day ran long. My station, WABC, never aired it and it never reran. At the time, they used to pre-empt Saturday Jeopardy! and air it at another time slot, but they aired Saturday Wheel. Instead of Saturday Jeopardy!, they showed a delayed local news and the news would run for a half hour regardless of what time the College Football game ended. Unfortunately, this meant that if a College Football game ran over, Wheel would be preempted in part or in full and the November 12, 2016 Saturday new episode was preempted in full on WABC. On some Saturdays in 2017 and 2018, the primetime College Football game would begin at 7:30 PM Eastern, resulting in both Jeopardy! and Wheel airing at another time slot. In 2019, this was changed so that ABC's primetime College Football game would always start at 7:30 PM Eastern, with the reruns airing at a different time slot.

Rather, prior to the 2019-20 season, ABC would leave a one-hour gap from 7-8 PM Eastern for its affiliates to air local news or local/syndicated programming. Most of the ones that carried J!/Wheel put those two shows in that hour as usual, or they replaced the first one with local news like WABC did. But since this almost-always resulted in said gap only being half an hour at best, sometimes leading to super-short local newscasts or programs constantly getting joined in progress, ABC now runs continuously from 12:00-11:00 PM Eastern with no breaks for stations. |

Makes sense, with some areas having had more cases showing up, they are probably trying to get as many done as quickly as possible in case they should have to stop again for any reason.
