Wheel may be pre-empted tonight on WPVI in Philadelphia due to the tornado warnings. They ran a crawl at 7:00 announcing J! would air on Localish. EDIT: Same for Wheel. A crawl ran at 7:30. EDIT 2: WPVI returned to Wheel before R3.
Thursday's Wheel and J! were also slightly cut off on WABC New York due to the New Jersey tornadoes. J! lost the first two clues and Wheel lost up until the blue contestant's interview. Although in previous instances of brief weather updates at 7:00 and 7:30, WABC would wait until after them to start J! and Wheel and shorten the commercial breaks to make up for the lost 1-2 minutes, this time they cut back to the respective shows already in progress. Wheel was interrupted after, "From So--"
Here is a clip of WPVI running their crawl about Wheel. Unsurprisingly, there were tons of hostile tweets @6abc about them pre-empting J! ("Who cares about a tornado?", one of them said), and zero complaints about missing half of Wheel.

I just haven't had the energy to post every station's handling of Olympic pre-emptions. I did the research; I was just never motivated to sort it and post it because it varied so much. One station opted to alternate Jeopardy! and Wheel by airing only Monday and Wednesday episodes of J! at 4:30 AM the next morning, and doing the same with only Tuesday and Thursday eps of Wheel, with neither's Friday eps airing.
Since today's the last weekday of the Olympics, I might as well post it now before it's far too late, but it won't be as organized as usual for now.

Two non-Olympic pre-emptions for Friday.
WBZ in Boston (CBS O&O) is pre-empting Wheel for the opening ceremonies of the annual Pan Mass Challenge. Wheel will air at 2:07 AM Eastern. And no, the other show isn't affected...
WFMY in Greensboro, North Carolina (CBS) is pre-empting Wheel and a couple of other programs (including part of CBS primetime) for the Panthers Fan Fest, a two-hour event. All of the pre-empted shows will air overnight, with Wheel at 2:37 AM Eastern.

Monday's Wheel was at least partially pre-empted on WLS Chicago due to a tornado warning in a nearby Illinois county. This coverage is still going, pre-empting part of The Bachelorette season finale. Twitter is not happy about the latter.
WMBD in nearby Peoria pre-empted the Bonus Round of tonight's Wheel for similar coverage.

ANOTHER Buffalo Bills special pre-empting Wheel (and only Wheel) on WIVB Buffalo and WROC Rochester tonight... Rochester especially, PLEASE get Wheel moved to another station. This is getting ridiculous. At least Buffalo has a duopoly so Wheel can still air at its regular time.
Guess what episode is being pre-empted by ANOTHER Buffalo Bills special tonight? Yep, Laura Trammell's historic house win.
This should not be allowed. WROC can never go more than two weeks without pre-empting Wheel. Wheel needs to reach out to this station and say, "If you can't air us at our agreed time at least 95% of the time, we're going to go to your competitors." WIVB should also consider maybe moving Wheel permanently to WNLO, which would make it the very first CW affiliate to regularly carry Wheel on weekdays.

WBFF aired the NFL game and dumped the MLB Field of Dreams game on FOX to its MyTV subchannel. J! was able to air at its normal time, but Wheel was bumped to 12:05 AM Eastern. WMTW did air the game, but they not did not air pregame, so Wheel aired while J! did not. Alaska bumped Wheel to 1:42 AM local time. Both airings of this episode were pre-empted in the state, since Day 1 of the NFL Draft only impacts West Coast airings of Wheel. Thursday's Wheel was also pre-empted on all other FOX stations due to the Field of Dreams game. I didn't feel like going through them, but I imagine the scheduling was similar or the same as last Thursday's pre-emption. However, FOX had a one-hour pregame show at 6:00 PM Eastern, so WSYT was not able to move Wheel early to 6:00. I imagine it aired on WSYT-DT3, but it was not listed on there. WAFF is airing the Falcons game and is not airing Friday's Wheel at all. WKRN is airing Friday's Wheel at 12:07 AM Central. Both airings of this episode were pre-empted on WKRN. All of the stations listed in blue for DET@BUF are airing that game. WNEM does not have Wheel listed for tonight, but it probably aired on WNEM-DT2. In addition to those three, WIVB in Buffalo also aired the game. As usual, Wheel was moved to WNLO, along with J! and CBS Evening News, which is pre-empted by a 6:30 edition of Buffalo Kickoff Live since the game starts at 7:00. WETM moved Wheel to WETM-DT2 as usual. WETM will also be airing tomorrow's preseason game between the Jets and Giants, with Saturday's Wheel also moving to DT2. WROC is not airing Friday's Wheel until Sunday morning at 5:30 AM Eastern. Meanwhile, J!'s season finale gets to air at the much more sensible slot of 12:30 PM on Saturday afternoon. When I asked them why they couldn't air Wheel at 12:00, they gave me the excuse that they were not allowed to air Wheel in that time slot. This time, WBZ moved Wheel to WSBK (MyTV) at its normal time. WMTW's airing of Wheel was not impacted (though J! was) since the game started at 7:30 ET and they did not air pregame. No game shows were impacted in Philly since the game aired there on WCAU (NBC). I don't think WPVI has ever aired Eagles preseason games before (but they do occasionally pre-empt Wheel for MNF games with them). No preseason pre-emptions tomorrow that I can find. The St. Joseph market isn't carrying the Chiefs game at all, and Kansas City has it on KMBC (ABC). The Bengals/Washington game is airing on WSYX (ABC) in Columbus, not WBNS, and Cincinnati is airing it on WKRC (CBS), so Wheel is fine in WXIX. I don't believe WXIX has any affiliation at all with the Bengals; I don't recall them carrying any preseason games before. In Baltimore, WBFF is airing the game, but it starts at 8:00 ET and they are not airing pregame, so Wheel will be fine this time. Friday's episode was originally pre-empted on WABC and WLS by a Localish special (WABC delayed it to Saturday and WLS didn't air it at all), and on WBZ by an offseason Pats All Access. Luckily, none of them are pre-empting its rerun. |

A couple of last-minute switcheroos this Saturday.
KSDK in St. Louis (NBC) unexpectedly pre-empted Wheel with an infomercial for at least the second time this year.
WFTV in Orlando (ABC) was supposed to pre-empt J!, Wheel, and ABC primetime with tonight's Falcons/Dolphins game. However, for unknown reasons, they ended up restoring the normal programming schedule and announced on a crawl that the game would not air on WFTV until Sunday afternoon, much to the anger of Dolphins fans who ended up with a J! rerun instead of a game. Wheel and all the other shows aired at their normal times but were still listed as the game. Wheel was supposed to air at 10:30 after the game but likely would have been joined in progress after overrun.
Also, the Rams/Raiders game is airing on KABC, so Weekend Wheel will once again air at midnight.

The Northern Trust PGA tournament, which airs nationally on CBS, was delayed from Sunday to Monday due to weather. It is scheduled from 2:30-6:30 PM Eastern. If it runs past 6:30, but ends before 7:00, CBS Evening News likely will not run past 7:00. Although Wheel is not directly impacted by this, some CBS stations may opt to air local newscasts at 7:00 since 6:00 is pre-empted. WBNS in Columbus usually does this and sometimes (not always) moves J! to 7:30 to replace Wheel, but J! and Wheel are listed at their normal times tonight.

Although Wheel is not directly impacted by this PGA overran by 45 minutes, impacting most 7:00 ET airings of Wheel on CBS affiliates and some 7:30/6:30 Central airings. This also impacted the "Great American City" saluted in tonight's episode: Boston (WBZ). WBNS did not air any news; they joined J! in progress. PGA did not sign off until 7:15 ET, with most stations cutting to programming around 7:17, which for Wheel, was during the break between Rounds 3 and 4. Only two CBS stations cut off PGA at 7:00 and aired Wheel in its entirety: WOIO in Cleveland and WPRI in Providence. All 7:30 airings in the Eastern Time Zone were fully intact. However, the following 6:30 Central airings were mostly pre-empted by local news that the station opted to run for a full 30 minutes after PGA, resulting in Wheel getting joined in progress at the Triple Toss-Up: - KFSM - Fort Smith, AR

Thursday's Wheel was pre-empted on WPVI in Philadelphia for their annual 6abc Auto Experience special. Thursday and Friday's episodes (the latter of which is Philadelphia-themed) will air Friday and Saturday. There will be no S37 rerun this week.
EDIT: Despite the delay, they still aired the promo for Friday's episode on Friday.
