^ Interesting. I wonder if there was a mistake with the slate?

That's obviously a replacement slate... it has the show's rescheduled airdate on it as opposed to its original intended airdate.

As someone who has recently seen the episode, I can confirm that I got misty-eyed when Alex said “We’ll see you next week”, and especially during the tribute. I never met the man, and I had to say goodbye to him forever, as many of you may have.

I've seen his final "Final Jeopardy!" and the tribute twice and it's honestly kind of difficult to stay composed right now... As of last night it well and truly is the end of an era. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
RIP George Alexander "Alex" Trebek 1940-2020.

TV providers have already changed Jeopardy!'s "poster". I just looked at my Xfinity and it's been changed to just the logo on a blue starry background. Previously, it had Alex with the logo on the bottom, much like Wheel's. They even changed it for Daytime J!. They should have at least kept the Alex poster for that one since his episodes will continue airing there.
