I couldn't really see the wheel, but I did notice the backdrops for the theme name on the scoreboards! I knew about the theme name on there, but not the theme related backdrop! It's really making the set seem more glamorous! I can't wait to see what they have for other themes! I do hope that just maybe, they could show dollar amounts on those backdrops! But then that would mean they'd sadly have nothing with the classic red/yellow/blue, so that's just as well.

Partial Update (didn't add to chart): the week of January 9 - 13, 2012 will be a compilation week. A contestant who taped recently said her show will air on the 9th. That does make sense, since that would mean that just like in all of Seasons 26 - 28, it'll be week 17 (12/29/08 - 1/2/09, 1/4 - 1/8/10, and 1/3 - 1/7/11), and like in all those times, it'll be the second. However, just because she taped already, that doesn't necessarily mean that's true, because two weeks before that (December 26 - 30), Best of the Best, taped already. But I'm sure it is. I'm guessing maybe that'll be from Desert Hideaways or one of the two Fun & Fit ones, or just maybe Best of the Best, but unlikely. My guess is the 5th Fun & Fit, and the first will take up Home Sweet Home Family, Spa Fantasy, Ports of Call, Bed & Breakfast, and Desert Hideaways. I'm also thinking that since this would mean that unlike the past three seasons and like Halloween this season and last, the 6 Happy Holidays shows will be back to back December 16 - 23 with December 12 - 15 a four show week. Because unlike in Seasons 26 and 28, the compilation week won't air during the 12 days of Christmas (December 25 - January 6). Or it's possible that like in Season 27, the first compilation week will be Thanksgiving week, with the Happy Holidays show Friday, in which case the January 9 show is Desert Hideaways. Is there any way to know for sure what week the January 9 show is from? And also, would you know if the January 9 - 13 week is America's Game or has another theme name, like Seasons 21 - 24, the last of Season 25, and the first, third, and fourth of last season? If that latter, what's the name of that compilation week? I also am really starting to think that Portland will be the only on the road locale this season, since usually the November one is not only known about by now, but already taped, and even the February one is known by now. Do any of you agree? Or is there a known locale other than Portland for November (and February or another time for that matter)?

Well, the one on-the-road hurts some, I really hope things don't drag into May. I see 3 couples weeks (none on the road), but two of them coming on week 1 and 38 is a bit odd. There are a lot of generic, destination-based names here as well, more than before it feels, and the usual few of returns like Wheel Around the World, Going Green, etc. I'm glad 6th eps seem to be exclusively America's Game again.
I don't know what's going on in November yet, so I'll wait on that... and no clearly defined Xmas week, either.
The one week I liked in here is Military Spouses - good twist, and the only military-related one this season.

Mario, there is an article out that states that Wheel will be shooting Going Green Week from Portland, Oregon. (Makes sense since it's the city is known as the "Greenest City in America"). Vanna was shown shooting spots with an electric car that will be used during that week of shows.

Great. Thanks for that. That most likely means that the fourth Portland week is the subsequent week of "Great Outdoors."

This will be a first in a long time that I can remember not seeing the show doing a Christmas Holiday themed week. May'be the Secret Santa Sweepstakes may make up for that, I don't know.

Wow! Thanks for finding that schedule! Here are my comments: First, for the first time since Season 13 (yes, I've kept track and that was the last time), no Happy Holidays Week! (or week like that just commemorating Christmas, since the Season 23 and 24 editions instead had 'Tis the Season and Spirit of the Season, respectively). That would be December 19 - 23, which is Wheel Goes to the Movies, and it looks like holiday themed movies, like in the style of Holiday Movie Magic which they had at some point between Thanksgiving and Christmas (but not the week containing Christmas (or before if a weekend)) for Seasons 24 - 26. Also, we already know that they're having four weeks in Portland. And I was always thinking they'd be April 30 - May 25. And since April 30 - May 18 are obviously Portland weeks, because of, in chronological order, what we heard, the theme name, and weeks that have been on the road in the past, Great Outdoors May 21 - 25 is obviously the fourth, since April 23 - 27 obviously isn't considering the theme of that week, and the May 21 - 25 theme makes total sense for Portland. it's possible that it could instead be Newlyweds, but unlikely. Incidentally, this looks like the first time since Season 12 (January 30 - February 24, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale) that they've had four consecutive on the road weeks in the same locale. Also, even though I was the one who speculated that before seeing this schedule, don't rule out Portland being the only Season 29 on the road locale just yet. Because there are 5 compilation weeks as usual, that means, since it takes 6 Culver City weeks to make a compilation week, at least 30 Culver City weeks and at most 9 on the road weeks, so at most 5 more. Here are my theories as to what they are: The themes of January 30 - February 10 both have been done on the road, and that's just the time of year when they've gone on the road before. (In fact, 2008 is the only known year with no on the road show at that time of year). Those two just happen to make sense for (and have been done in) the same type of locale -- a Southern city, but none of those two have been done in the same city. As you may remember from this season, and will see in next week's rerun, the first has been done in New Orleans and only New Orleans, but of course I can't imagine them going back there so soon (and for the record, they also had that week there in November 2005). And as for the latter, it's been done in Nashville in February 2003 and Charleston in February 2007, both with country singers, so it's possible that this edition will be that as well!!!!!!! So I could see Nashville, Charleston (gasp!) New Orleans, or maybe Dallas, Houston (or somewhere in TX and they've gone to both), Atlanta, Savannah, or St. Louis. Anyway, that's 2 of the 5. As for the other three, at the time that they usually go on the road, November (and they've never not had at least one November on the road week), having that Secret Santa sweepstakes instead of going on the road does make sense, and it does make sense that the three Sweepstakes will be the other 3 that won't have 6th show tapings. However, considering what the last of those three is, could they possibly do all three Secret Santa weeks, not just the last in New York, where I live? !!!!!!! (and remember I did go to the taping of November 12 - 16, 2007 People Celebrity Week and met Pat and Vanna afterwards!!!!!!!!!) Could I get that chance again? ?!!!!!! And NYC does make sense for a Christmas themed sweepstakes, because of Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Music Hall Christmas spectacular (and Radio City is of course where that week taped, and they also taped there in November 1988 and 2003), Miracle on 34th Street, and a lot more! Though if they are going on the road in November, even though November 7 - 25 makes total sense on the road, the holiday season starts, not ends, after Thanksgiving, so why can't the sweepstakes be November 21 - December 9 instead and have November 7 - 18 be on the road? But then again, the Sears holiday Sweepstakes was November 15 - 19 last year. Also, I wonder how the Secret Santa sweepstakes will work. Could it be like the Sears sweepstakes? Anyway, maybe they'll go back to three times on the road, for the first time since Season 24, have three on the road locales, with New York, the Southern January 30 - February 10 locale, and Portland. No matter what, I think we can safely say that November 7 - 25 and January 30 - February 10 will have 5-show tapings, and the latter will be on the road. I think you should put January 30 - February 10 in red. I'm guessing January 30 - February 10 will be in the Southern locale, and all three weeks of the sweepstakes will be from home, just with the last week commemorating NYC. Or here's another possibility -- even though they commemorated Sandals Resorts from Culver City April 27 - May 1, 2009 and February 22 - 26, 2010, maybe they'll actually go there for December 12 - 16 and February 13 - 17, but unlikely. And that would mean that the Secret Santa sweepstakes would be the only other weeks to have only 5 tapings, and January 30 - February 10 will be in Culver City and just happen to both have Southern themes and be at that standard on the road time of year. But I think that's unlikely, since that is out of the country where they've never gone, and they will indeed be commemorating Sandals Resorts twice at different times this season. Also, even though of course Sweethearts Week has always aired appropriately at that time of year, that second Sandals Week shouldn't be in green just yet just because it has the word romance in it. In fact, they already have Newlyweds week, and they've never had two weeks with husbands and wives before. They could just be commemorating it as a romantic place, and they also have had romantic themed non-couples weeks with the word romance in it before, not at that week, but at that time of year. For instance, as part of the Hershey's Pot of Gold Sweepstakes, they had Romantic Destinations the week of January 28 - February 1, 2002 with single players (Sweethearts week was in Vegas two weeks later). If it were called Sweethearts, Second Honeymoon, or Newlyweds which you appropriately did it with, then put it in green. I think they should have had Newlyweds that week, and instead commemorated Sandals Resorts a second time a different way June 4 - 8. But then again, June is a standard wedding month, and due to the late start of the season, this is the first time since Season 15 that they had a non-compilation week fully in June. Also, as for that week in question, if it had to be a special themed week like that, I think, even though the season has always ended with a compilation week since they began in Season 20, the last two weeks should be switched, as it makes sense with a special themed week. In fact, didn't Second Honeymoon end Season 10 June 14 - 18, 1993? But then again, the next to last week of Season 25 was Dads & Grads. Incidentally, it's interesting that Pure Paradise is January 16 - 20, when Two Tickets to Paradise was January 16 - 20, 2006!!!!!!!!! And those are the only two theme names I can think of with the word paradise in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, Military Spouses does look great! But it's interesting that they're not having an Armed Forces week, and they could have both. Also, as for weeks that I think will have the updated dips and columns set, besides Ports of Call and Best of the Best that we know: Secret Santa (if taped from home), Pure Paradise, Wheel Around the World, Military Spouses, Weekend Getaways, and Great Adventures. Also, is there a way to get in touch with this Gus?

Boy, you love to speculate about weeks a lot. While this is unofficial, Mario's put up the cumulative best inferences we can get right now, and it's hard to see a second on-the-road stint in there... it would probably have a "Location Week" name honestly in there... There's been a lot of signs in the past 3 years, after the million dollar win, that Wheel's budget isn't what it used to be. I don't know if that's the economy, the insurance on the million dollar win, or what...

and it's hard to see a second on-the-road stint in there... it would probably have a "Location Week" name honestly in there... Not necessarily. Several on the road locales haven't. In fact, neither of the Season 25 locales had one, neither the New York one which I was at the taping of or Chicago. And as for others, in Season 19, the Vegas one where that Sweethearts was in February 2002, and two from Season 23 (Ft. Lauderdale in February 2006 and Denver in May 2006). That's all, and that's how long it's been, but that's a lot to prove that just because there are none besides Portland listed doesn't mean that it's the only on the road locale. There's been a lot of signs in the past 3 years, after the million dollar win, that Wheel's budget isn't what it used to be. I don't know if that's the economy, the insurance on the million dollar win, or what... I'm sure it's not the $1,000,000 win, since even though chances are very small (not much more than .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%), technically they could give away up to a bit more than $195,000,000 per season, and I can't imagine it costing anywhere near that much, assuming the very likely possibility they don't give away anywhere near that much the previous season.

Do you have a photographic memory? Dang. lol
I understand the chances are very small - although I wouldn't call it THAT small, not even close. Let's say there is about 8 MDWBRs a season, which is a little over 4% of all games in a season. You'd expect once in every three seasons (for 24 MDWBRs) the million will be hit exactly once. Now it's up to solving the puzzle, which is probably roughly a 1:2 or 2:3 shot (odds for:against), giving ranges of once every 7.5-9 seasons. That's 1365-1755 games, which roughly falls in the probability range of .0005 - .001 (.05% - .1%). Maybe you were trying to exaggerate a little, and the true odds are definitely significantly less than 1%, thus why the million has not even been landed on since that historic day in 2008, but it is by no means astronomical.
What I'm basically saying is when a MDWBR, there's then roughly a (1/24)(1/3) to (1/24)(2/5) chance = 1.4% - 1.7% of winning the super big one.
Anyways, I got sidetracked... even that one win could have still cost them six figures they probably weren't counting on, and this isn't like Price with a separate budget for primetime, and it would take awhile to make it up slowly over several shows, even if they're below average shows.

Here's what I think, Mario. You should put red question marks next to the three Secret Santa sweepstakes weeks and January 30 - February 10, and green question mark next to February 13 - 17 (and maybe even February 6 - 10, since whether on the road or in Culver City, that could be country music stars, like they did in Nashville February 17 - 21, 2003 and Charleston February 12 - 16, 2007). And maybe even put a red question mark next to December 12 - 16 and February 13 - 17, especially since the latter is still when they'd usually be on the road in the past, and they've had back to back weeks in different locales before (e.g. January 31 - February 4, 2005 was Philadelphia, February 7 - 25 were all Vegas). But that's not as important as the other question marks I mentioned.
Also, how would you have incorporated both red and green if there was a week that we know for sure has both, such as, from this past season, February 7 - 11, 2011?

You're probably right. But it's still possible, so please put red question marks next to November 7 - 25 and January 30 - February 10 and change February 13 - 17 to a green question mark. Okay?

I really think it's too short notice for Wheel to be in NY for those weeks. I live in NY, and nothing has been announced at all. Sandals Romance Week is 99% likely teams/couples, especially since it falls on Valentine's Day. Like I said, the chart is subject to change, plus there is a disclaimer stating that not everything is 100% confirmed.

I really think it's too short notice for Wheel to be in NY for those weeks. I live in NY, and nothing has been announced at all. You're right. I knew by this time in 1999, 2003, and 2007, all times they were there in November, that they were going, and same with all other November locales. But since there's still a chance, I think a red question mark wouldn't be the worst idea. Sandals Romance Week is 99% likely teams/couples, especially since it falls on Valentine's Day. But it's still possible, especially since they had Romantic Destinations with single players in 2002, and they never had a Sweethearts week from Culver City before. Like I said, the chart is subject to change, plus there is a disclaimer stating that not everything is 100% confirmed. But I still think that for what's based on this chart, we should go with the appropriate colors. So please put a red question mark next to November 7 - 25 and January 30 - February 10 and change the green February 13 - 17 to a question mark (and maybe put one next to the week before that as well). Then once it's confirmed just where and what those weeks are, get rid of the question marks and add their appropriate colors. And could you please explain how you'd do red and green if there was a week like February 7 - 11, 2011?

This strongly sounds like an error, but Wheel Facebook has Wheel Loves NY as Nov 23-25. (And yes, it's in Culver City.)
One way this extremely short week could work is if both Secret Santa weeks are full 6s, making 12.
