WPVI started J! and Wheel immediately after Nightline, both about 14 minutes early.
WABC, however, inserted a partial episode of Localish program "All Good" (which was not listed on the guide) to keep the syndicated schedule on time. Wheel aired in its entirety from 4:02-32 AM. Luckily I added an extra 5 minutes to the end of the recording, otherwise the closing and credits would have been cut off.

Draft Day 3 overran 3 minutes. 7:00 PM ET airings of Wheel on Saturday, whether they were Friday's ep or the rerun, were JIP'd around the start of R1, along with most 7:30 airings that were scheduled after newscasts. WPVI's airing cut in right as the blanks for R1 finished coming up. Wheel aired in its entirety on WABC since there was no news.

Due to bad weather, #S-7789 was simulcast in its entirety on KTXA in Dallas, in case KTVT had to interrupt, though they never did; they did do a brief update after the credits. Since KTVT starts Wheel immediately after the 6:00 news at 6:27 while KTXA always waits until 6:30 when they do air it, KTXA's airing was 2-3 minutes behind KTVT's. When KTVT was starting R3, KTXA hadn't even finished with R2 yet.

According to someone on Twitter, #S-7781 (Monday 4/24) was pre-empted on WDAF Kansas City by a Chiefs Draft special.

Today's rerun was originally pre-empted in almost all 7:30 ET markets. ... President Biden is speaking tonight at 7:30 PM Eastern, regarding the tragically high number of recent mass shootings. ... Wheel likely will not be seen in any markets that air it at 7:30 ET. FOX’s coverage is optional. WDAF Kansas City is the only one that is pre-empting Wheel for it. WVUE, WALA, and WBFF are all intact. NBC's coverage was optional. Various people in the Discord and on Twitter reported several NBC stations airing normal programming at 7:30 ET. The only ones we found that stuck with Wheel were WAND in Decatur, IL and KSNW in Wichita, KS. It turns out CBS's coverage was optional as well. Per Twitter, WXVT in Greenwood, Mississippi aired Wheel, and at least one CBS station in Texas did, too. ABC's apparently was not optional, which affected our out-of-towner contestant, Austin, who watches on KATV in Little Rock. FOX has sports all day today. WDAF, the only FOX that pre-empted the original airing, already aired Wheel this morning at 10:30 AM Central. CBS is likely going to be in trouble. PGA is scheduled until 7:00 ET today, which means WBNS is already pre-empted to accommodate the 6:00 news and J!, and overrun will affect many 7:30 airings after newscasts. NBC has the Preakness Stakes scheduled until 7:30 ET, so 7:00 airings (which were not affected the first time) are gone outright, and some 7:30 airings are expected to be replaced with news, and if Wheel is still in that slot, it will be impacted by overrun. KSDK, WCNC, and WDIV both still have Wheel scheduled at 7:30 (the latter two pre-empted Wheel with 6:00 newscasts last year). Interestingly, WPXI, despite almost-always favoring J! over Wheel with Saturday pre-emptions, is keeping Wheel at 7:30 while J! aired at 4:30 AM this morning which is usually when Wheel airs. Even when the two shows do air together on Saturday nights, J! airs at 7:00, even though Wheel airs at 7:00 on weeknights. ABC is okay on the East Coast today, including Austin's KATV. On the West Coast, however, this episode will be pre-empted for the second time by NBA.

Preakness Stakes ended on time. However, PGA overran to 7:30, so some CBS affiliates ended up pre-empting this episode twice, depending on their policy of running full newscasts after sports overruns. All 7:00 airings tonight were gone entirely.
NBA also overran, by about 8 minutes. The NBA game that took place on this episode's original air date overran about 3 minutes. Neither would affect the majority of West Coast airings.
WBIR Knoxville did not have Wheel listed on its schedule today since it normally airs at 7:00 and was pre-empted by the Preakness Stakes, but they ended up airing Wheel at 7:30 ET after the event n place of famous local program "The Heartland Series" for unknown reasons. WBIR is one of the few affiliates that does not carry Jeopardy! Weekend, mainly because of this show.
Both airings of this episode ended up overnight on KGO. Wheel's 10 PM slot tonight was taken by an On the Red Carpet special promoting the new Little Mermaid movie, with Wheel at 2 AM PT.

#S-7806 is going to be pre-empted on FOX affiliates, at least 7:00 ET airings, due to the Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race, postponed from yesterday due to rain. It is apparently slotted from 3:00-7:30 ET, which puts 7:30 airings at risk of being JIP'd or skipped.
WSYT Syracuse announced that Wheel is being moved to 10:00 PM, in place of Daytime Jeopardy! FOX primetime shows are repeats tonight, so if the race goes past 8:00, the lineup will likely be JIP'd.

The game got delayed again by rain, but it eventually resumed. Still, the delay caused the race to run extremely long and it did not sign off until 9:18 PM, almost two hours late. Wheel did not air on any FOX affiliates except KHON in Hawaii; it also got pre-empted on KDVR Denver. This also affected Wheel on WLUC-DT2 in Marquette, Michigan, which only airs Wheel on Mondays (it airs on NBC affiliate WLUC from Tue-Sat). Luckily, this did not affect any of the contestants. Also, despite both primetime shows being repeats tonight, FOX slid the lineup half an hour, so MasterChef, instead of being skipped over, was JIP'd at the 48 minute mark, while Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars aired in its entirety from 9:30-10:30. WSYT was the only FOX affiliate that announced any plan to make up Wheel (another reason why IMO they're the most reliable Wheel affiliate in the country). Because of the primetime lineup being late, Wheel aired in its entirety starting at 10:30. Wheel did not relax the sweepstakes entry for tonight to have any input accepted; they never do when it comes to FOX pre-emptions since only a little over 6% of America gets Wheel on a FOX affiliate. Compare that to about 42%, 28%, and 22% for ABC, CBS, and NBC, respectively.

The NBA Finals begin tonight on ABC, affecting Wheel on the West Coast. Game days are the following:
Game 1: Thursday, June 1 (#S-7809) Game 2: Sunday, June 4 (no Wheel) Game 3: Wednesday, June 7 (#S-7813) Game 4: Friday, June 9 (#S-7815, season finale and XL episode)
If necessary: Game 5: Monday, June 12 (#S-7621RR, XL, original airing was also pre-empted by MNF) Game 6: Thursday, June 15 (#S-7624RR, XL) Game 7: Sunday, June 18 (no Wheel)
There is some good news this year. The NBA has moved up the starting times half an hour starting this year. As a result, there is no Jimmy Kimmel Live! Game Night airing before the game on the East Coast and after the game on the West Coast. Because of this, West Coast affiliates don't lose a potential primetime slot for Wheel to another network program. KGO is the biggest example here. In past NBA Finals, they would run a combination of local postgame and news until 10:00, then Kimmel (the 10:00 slot is usually used for Wheel on sports days), and in most years, Jeopardy! at 10:30, with Wheel relegated to 3:00 AM. This year, Wheel gets the 10:00 PM slot. KABC likewise has Wheel scheduled at 9:00 PM PT, as opposed to 9:30 in previous years.
However, this does pose bad news for one (insignificant) market. Replacing Kimmel is a live pregame show, as with other ABC NBA broadcasts. While Mountain Time Zone affiliates had a choice of airing Kimmel either before the game at 6:00 PM MT, or afterwards, there is no choice this time. KOTA Rapid City always opted to keep Wheel at 6:00 and air Kimmel after the game. This year, they're now forced to put Wheel at 9:00 PM MT immediately after the game and will very likely result in none of the game day episodes airing in their entirety.
This will also result in the Season 40 premiere getting impacted twice on some stations. If SPIN IDs will be new for reruns, the XL1 ep with the XL win on Wednesday 6/14 is fortunately not impacted anywhere.
Also, as for the Stanley Cup Final, that is exclusively on TNT this year, even in the teams' local markets, looks like. I see no impact on either version of Wheel in the Vegas or Miami markets. This is apparently the first time since 1993 that the Stanley Cup is not on any broadcast network.

Wheel announced that anything at all will be accepted for Friday’s sweepstakes entry.
At least ABC will be airing the speech. WPVI announced during their 5:30 newscast that they will be airing it.

The Big Three all aired special reports from about 7:00-7:18. All three were optional, however. WPVI’s airing of J! cut in during the caterpillar clue shortly into DJ! Airings of Wheel should have been on by the end of R3.
No FOX airings were affected. Ironically, WJLA opted not to air the address.

WBZ aired the speech, and Wheel aired on WSBK but it wasn’t listed in the guide and I don’t know if WBZ announced they would air it. I ended up watching on WPRI, which didn’t air the speech.

Didn't have time to go through everything last night before the reports signed off, but Friday's Wheel was pre-empted by the speech on at least the following: NBC: - WTLV Jacksonville, FL
- WXIA Atlanta, GA (not sure if Wheel was simulcast on WATL)
- WRDE Salisbury, MD
- WCBD Charleston, SC
ABC:
- WPBF West Palm Beach, FL
- WPLG Miami, FL
CBS:
- WTSP Tampa, FL
- WMAZ Macon, GA
- WANE Fort Wayne, IN
- WBZ Boston, MA (Wheel was simulcast uninterrupted on WSBK)
- WFMY Greensboro, NC
- WIVB Buffalo, NY (was watching this airing and CBS cut in right at the end of the chant)
- WOIO Cleveland, OH
I was on WROC around the time the reports signed off, but Wheel was definitely on by the Y call in Round 3. I saw more 7:00 airings not affected by the speech than those that were. Larger affiliates that were not affected included WPXI Pittsburgh, WDIV Detroit, and WTHR Indianapolis. It seems the speech was mostly carried in larger markets and O&O's, most of which air Wheel at 7:30 ET and were not affected. WBZ is the only East Coast O&O of any network that airs Wheel at 7:00 ET. Also, unlike what WBZ did for Wheel, WABC did not simulcast Jeopardy! on Localish. AFAIK, they have not used Localish to air either show since 6/2/22 where they moved Wheel there unannounced when Biden gave a gun safety speech at 7:30 that day.

The "Arizona's Family" group of Phoenix stations, which includes Wheel affiliate KTVK (one of only two independent stations to carry the show regularly), recently partnered with WNBA team the Phoenix Suns to locally broadcast all of their non-nationally-televised games. www.azfamily.com/2023/05/04/heres-look-schedule-2023-phoenix-mercury/Wheel was or will be pre-empted by games on the following dates. Only one new episode was impacted, since their season just started. Thu, May 25 (#S-7804) [Wheel aired at either 11:00 or 11:30 PM] Sat, June 24 (#S-7482RR) Sat, July 1 (TBA) Wed, July 5 (TBA) [Possibly; game is scheduled for 4:00 PM] Sat, August 5 (TBA) KTVK also airs most Arizona Cardinals NFL preseason games.

Not sure they've ever done that before (more commonly moving Wheel and/or Jeopardy to the co-owned Fox station instead).

NBA Finals Game 3 overran about 12 minutes. Denver leads 2-1, meaning there will be at least 5 games and the S40 premiere will be pre-empted a second time on West ABC's. Another win from Miami means a Game 6. A Game 7 would not affect Wheel.

A special report on the previous president’s charges cut in on some ABC affiliates around 7:28 ET. This probably only affected the closing for Wheel airings.
WPVI is airing the special report. WKRN is not.
