^ Yes. ABC broke in at 7:57 ET, cutting off 7:30 airings of #S-7924. The special report ran until 8:15 ET, pushing back ABC's Titanic special with a repeat of Will Trent getting JIP'd once that was done. The first half of the show was lost on KOTA, the only 6:00 MT ABC airing.
Where exactly Wheel got cut off depended on the station. WABC managed to show everything relevant to gameplay before the interruption. Several others on Twitter and Reddit reported that their airings were cut off as the contestant's letters were being revealed.

Last Saturday, several Nexstar stations aired multiple half-hour Super Bowl specials, in many cases in Wheel's slot. WROC was one of those stations, unsurprisingly, bumping Wheel to 3:05 AM ET. WIVB also aired them, and although Wheel usually moves to WNLO even on Saturdays, that was not possible this time since The CW had a sporting event. WTNH also aired two of the specials in the J!/WOF hour and Wheel aired at 12:30 PM on Super Bowl Sunday. Fortunately, that episode already aired twice, so nobody should have missed out completely.

Today's rerun of Cody's episode is pre-empted on three Northeast stations by a live special on the 2024 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon. It is airing at 7:30 PM ET on several ABC affiliates based in New York and Pennsylvania. Wheel is affected on WABC New York, WPVI Philadelphia, and WATM Altoona. www.psu.edu/news/campus-life/story/multiple-ways-tune-thon-weekend-2024/WATM is not airing Wheel at all this weekend. WABC has moved it to 4:00 AM Sunday morning, which is immediately after the late night movie, meaning it won't air in its entirety if tonight's NHL game overruns. WPVI, surprisingly, is moving Wheel up to 7:00 PM, replacing local program FYI Philly. This is only the second time I've seen WPVI air WOF Weekend in a slot other than Saturday at 7:30. Usually, FYI Philly gets priority for the hour. Wheel is also in danger of being partially pre-empted (and outright is on at least WROC, WVNS, and WBNS) on CBS stations by PGA which is scheduled until 7:00 ET. Cody's home station of WTSP would be affected since they air Wheel at 7:00. FOX also has college basketball all day once again. Other than the Penn State event, Wheel is fine on East Coast ABC's and all NBC's. |

WDJT in Milwaukee announced that their sister station WMLW will be carrying 10 Milwaukee Bucks games the first of which that takes place on Friday 2/23 at 7PM CT being simulcast on WDJT which means if there is any pregame on WDJT Wheel will be affected that day. The Bucks game on 2/23 was rescheduled to start at 9 PM Central, so Wheel (and S.W.A.T.) will not be affected. WDJT is pre-empting Fire Country and Blue Bloods (both new episodes that night) with a special 8 PM newscast (also simulcast on WMLW), pregame, and the Bucks game. Fire Country will air at 2:02 AM and Blue Bloods will air at 11:00 PM Saturday. |

All East Coast FOX airings of #S-7931 are pre-empted due to the Daytona 500 being postponed from yesterday due to rain. This is on top of a couple of college basketball games that were already scheduled for the afternoon. Race coverage is scheduled from 4-8 ET. KDVR will be impacted if overrun is more than 30 minutes.
WSYT announced Wheel will move to WSYT-DT3. WLUK announced Wheel will air at 11:05 PM CT, presumably slid back if there's overrun. WLUC-DT2, which only airs Wheel on Mondays, announced Wheel will air at 11:00 PM ET, again presumably later if the race runs over.

Daytona 500 overran 27 minutes, sliding back FOX primetime accordingly.
Guess what KDVR decided to do? Start Jeopardy! at 6:27 from the beginning instead of joining it in progress just in time for Final Jeopardy! like they've done every time it was scheduled after sports. Because of that, very little, possibly NONE of Wheel aired.
The trend of stations showing J! in full and skipping or JIP'ing Wheel is growing at an alarming rate. Again, this is not fair to Wheel since it does not have a daily rerun feed like every other syndicated program.

Yes, very frustrated. I am going to see if there’s a place to make a comment/ complaint on their website. I did watch the link someone posted in the WOF Alumni Facebook page You can call the number listed as "Main Line" here: kdvr.com/contact/If you get the receptionist, ask for programming. If you get the menu of options, choose option 4. I already reached out to them asking if this was an isolated incident or if this is a new policy of theirs. The program director, Doug, said that running all of J! was a mistake from Nexstar master control. It should not have happened, because their policy was and still is to run the shows in their dedicated time slots. As a consequence of of this mistake, the advertisers who had ad space during J! ended up not getting paid because it didn't air in the correct time slot. Anyway, it shouldn't happen again. Did any of Wheel air at all? Or did they just time the J! commercial breaks so that it went right into FOX primetime with Wheel skipped over entirely? |

They joined Wheel “in progress “. It showed Pat & Vanna & the contestant at the end as the credits rolled. No puzzles, about 30- 60 seconds before the Sony tune that plays at the end. I’ll try calling Monday. Couldn’t find a place to send an email. Thanks

Yet another sports deal that means trouble for Wheel. www.wlox.com/2023/12/31/wlox-gray-tv-stations-reach-agreement-televise-10-pelicans-games/Gray Television has partnered with the New Orleans Pelicans to air all of their games on several of their stations in and around Louisiana. The following stations that air Wheel are potentially affected by this: - WVUE New Orleans, LA (FOX)
- KNOE Monroe, LA (CBS)
- KALB Alexandria, LA (NBC)
- WDAM Hattiesburg, MS (NBC)
- WTOK Meridian, MS (ABC)
- WALA Mobile, AL (FOX)
Assuming the game times listed in WLOX's article are in Central Time, the following games will conflict with Wheel: - Fri, January 19 (#S-7910) [if there's pregame]
- Tue, February 27 (#S-7937)
- Fri, March 1 (#S-7940) [if there's pregame]
- Tue, March 26 (#S-7957) [if there's pregame]
All 7:00 Pelicans games will impact Wheel on WVUE New Orleans, as that station will air pregame on those days. The affected FOX network shows (WWE SmackDown in last night's case) will air after the 10:00 news, followed by Wheel. The only other station that is airing the games on the same station as Wheel is WALA Mobile, and they did not do pregame last night, although it's worth noting that episode had a local contestant (Jill) that they promoted in advance, so we can't assume they won't do pregame in March if there are no Mobile-based contestants. The rest of the stations did not have the Pelicans game listed at all. WDAM will be pre-empting #S-7940 with pregame and will not be airing it at all. This is the only Pelicans game that is airing on WDAM's NBC station, with the rest airing on their Bounce TV subchannel or their ABC station. WALA does not have pregame this time, either. There were no interruptions on the East Coast. Due to Super Tuesday coverage, most if not all Pacific Time Zone stations are airing #S-7942 three hours later than usual, at 10:00 or 10:30 PM, as network coverage is at 10 ET/7 PT, with 10 PT open to the affiliates. It turns out this was only true for West Coast CBS and NBC affiliates, which aired coverage at 7 PM and the usual 7 PM programming at 10, including on O&O KNSD. On ABC, the West Coast O&O's aired coverage at both 7 and 10 PM, bumping Wheel to 1:37 AM PT on KABC and KFSN, and 3:30 AM on KGO. For non-O&O stations, the schedule was identical to the East Coast, with 7 PM programming aired as normal and coverage solely at 10, so Wheel was not affected on any non-O&O's such as KXTV. When I checked various schedules last week, all West Coast ABC's had coverage at 7 with 10 listed as either J!/WOF or TBA. |

I don't remember WTSP-10 (CBS) abbreviating or preempting Wheel during season 41 due to any CBS News special reports. If there are any March Madness games on CBS this year, Wheel and Jeopardy could be preempted by CBS Sports' live coverage of the NCAA men's division I basketball tournament.

Fox affiliates will preempt WOF and J next week for the Big East men's basketball tournament. That would be today (#S-7950). Coverage runs from 5:30-8:00 ET, affecting all East Coast airings and potentially putting KDVR at risk. Hopefully this time they don't start J! from the top if the game runs over. The 7:30-8:00 portion is scheduled as postgame so overrun isn't as likely. WLUK Green Bay is airing Wheel before the game instead of after the late news like they would usually do. They are airing Wheel at 4:00 PM CT (replacing the first half of The People's Court) leading into the game. This is likely being done due to today's J!, which is also moved early to 3:30, being a TOC game. |
