Bobby would be tenpoundhammer, our recap guide and Wheelmobile chaser. Several of us on staff have been to the Wheelmobile when it's come near our particular regions - and most of us that have gone have met Bobby, because he really gets around. Also, the final audition thread can be found here.

Except me, go figure, and I met Mario.
I might add my story to the audition thread, in due time, but don't feel it's complete, until after the deadline letter passes, because that makes me feel nervous...like all heck. Not only that, I feel I can more accurately point out what flaws were (if not), or things to suggest (if yes). So yeah. Heck, misty and I can potentially tag team on this one, in terms of descriptors, gameplay, etc., as we were literally 3 inches apart, as she said.

Hi Misty, If you're trying to find my thread they're talking about, it's buyavowel.boards.net/thread/5209/final-auditionAlso, depending on the day you auditioned, I would wait until the end of the week for the letter before losing hope. I auditioned on a Thursday and I didn't receive the letter until the 15th day on a Friday; so I would keep checking until the Saturday after the 2 week mark. Good luck!

I haven't lost hope by any stretch, but I am sick to my stomach with anticipation walking to the mailbox since yesterday... it reminds me of when I was trying to get pregnant and was taking pregnancy tests every day, waiting for the line to turn blue, LOL! Anyway, good luck to you Prizes - it's two weeks tomorrow so let's hope we both get a letter in the next couple of days!!

Hi all, I'm very new here I've actually been on the show, back in 2006 (has it really been that long??) The famed Wheelmobile is again making it's way back to Minnesota---YAY!!!! I'm going with my sister, mom and boyfriend and he really is hoping to have his name drawn. It's been so long since I've done a Wheelmobile event, I can't remember what I put down anymore for the "interesting, fun and unique qualities" portion. Can I ask: what have other's jotted down for it? To be clear, I am sitting it out, this is really for my boyfriend. He is really excited to experience the whole Wheelmobile thing, I am too! Thank you very much for your help and time, it's all appreciated

Awesome that you got on, first off! What was your airdate/how much did you win? We love knowing these things. The more bragging about your feats, the better. As for me, I put that I'm a foodie, I like to travel the world, like to make people laugh, trivia buff, and I just like spending time with my family. Most of those give me a touch of intrigue, as I reasoned it, and the last one is there for emotional compassion, that family is with you forever, and they're great folks. Not only does the show love this, but it's a heartfelt American thing to say. Of course, I type this as someone who didn't get picked at her Wheelmobile event, despite going to every single show/seeing every puzzle in my area, but got picked after in the random for the auditions themselves. Good luck to you boyfriend, hope he gets called today, and enjoys it all! Make sure to check out the first page of the thread this has been moved to--it has like all the puzzles at Wheelmobile events, to help him (and you, playing around in the stands) be a better solver.

Hi! Oh my goodness, this is like corresponding with a celebrity! I've been by these threads SO many times now, just trying to glean more info, etc. I really enjoy your posts, by the way. Thank you for your response, I really appreciate that! Let's see, I was at a Wheel Mobile event in October of 2005, did the second audition in April of 2006, taped the show in CA. in July, then the episode aired October 5, 2006 Such a whirlwind, but fun and very surreal---I ended up with $5,700 and took it down under to Australia in 2007! Anyway, yes, the most current Wheel Mobile event, whoooohoooo! I am so excited for this, it'll bring back some good memories. We will be there June 8th in Hinckley, MN..... Thank you SO much for the application suggestions, you don't get very much room and I just want my boyfriend to stand out if he can. We will definitely enjoy everything, regardless. You are wonderful and I look forward to perusing this board more!!!! Thanks kindly

As for me and the 'interesting, fun and unique qualities', I jotted down 'traveling, karaoke, couponing, and watching Wheel of Fortune with my 1-year-old... ... ... pomeranian!' - the first 3 being hobbies that I can talk about and the last part as me being sorta funny. As for the things that I wrote, I feel as if the face-to-face interview is more looked upon if anything, in which I did talk about the things that I wrote down, but Marty (the Wheelmobile host) decided to focus on my karaoke aspect and I sang a little tune as seen here. Good luck to your boyfriend at the Wheelmobile and just make sure to show off his personality and just shine if chosen!

Can I ask: what have other's jotted down for it? Sheesh, I was on fairly recently, but I don't remember what I put! ...I'm kidding, I think I said something about how I used to host USC's live game show for their TV station and how I studied Japanese swordsmanship. Can't remembered if I mentioned my past stints on game shows there, but I definitely told Pat about it when I got on. I told him I did well until Final Jeopardy!..."as I'm sure you can relate," I added.

Yes, in regards to the Wheel Mobile---it's SO important to let your personality shine, hopefully my boyfriend Don, will be drawn and able to get up on that stage! And yes again: I just want his application to stand out and be funny, if at all possible. Arrghhhh, I'm so excited to go!! Thanks again for the help and I loved your little karaoke tune ;---) Dana

Hi again, anyone who see's this! For the Wheel Mobile event, should my boyfriend wear khaki shorts or long pants? He's wearing a nice green, polo-type shirt, but I don't know if he should be more casual or not. Please advise, any help is appreciated! Might be a silly question, but I want us to be there prepared, if you know what I mean! Thank you!

Either is fine. If it's outdoors and it's warm weather, go with the shorts for more comfort. As long as he's dressed cleanly and appropriately, he's fine.
