Oops, I wasn’t paying attention, didn’t see that you are an alumni as well. I think it would be fun to go to another Wheelmobile event when they come back to Denver sometime. Would be a whole different perspective Ha--it feels totally different! You aren't sitting there nervous/excited/what have you, that your name will be called ;---) You can just hang out and hope that whoever you came with's name gets called It's like a "been there, done that", kind of attitude. And, wow, they are already sending out second audition emails from the Iowa event last weekend. I had to wait from my Wheelmobile event in October until the beginning of APRIL to even hear anything.

I attended my third Wheelmobile event this weekend at the MGM Northfield Park here in Northeast Ohio. Nothing new to add...
...other than that I FINALLY got called!
I was called during today's second show, and due to a called player not showing up from the previous group, I got hustled on stage fairly quickly. Thankfully, I had a short time to collect myself, and managed to solve my puzzle on the second time around.
Overall, there wasn't much new to report. We had Mallory as our Vanna (the first time I haven't seen Tracey). Gameplay was overall subpar; vowels were not picked too often. I religiously studied the list of puzzles from the first page of the thread, and the vast majority that showed up this weekend were repeats from that list (including my own puzzle). I highly encourage anyone who goes to the Wheelmobile to get your story points in order (and practice them), call vowels, and study that list!
We were told that we'd hear back within a month; this seems to possibly be a new norm.

Ha, sounds like just what you're describing here! His name was yet again not chosen, but it was a fun and interesting time, none the less. Mallory is a great Vanna, and of course, you can't beat Marty!! I'd love to know what's in his infamous drinking cup, LOL. I know that for the Iowa WHEELMOBILE anyway, the people on stage were hearing about second auditions just a few DAYS after the event, that is outside of the norm, as far as I can tell. I had auditioned in October, some years back and didn't hear about the 2nd audition until the next APRIL. Anyway, yay for you! Keep us updated, I'd love to follow your journey

I'll be heading to the event outside Baltimore, MD this weekend. First time. Its supposed to be from 12-4pm. Do I need to get there super early? Should I expect to be there the whole time?

Welcome to the boards, jrub! In regards to your question, you do not have to get there super early; I would say get there about an hour/hour and a half early. So, if the event starts at 12PM EST, try to get there around 10:30-11:00 AM EST. The Wheelmobile event will consist of three one-hour shows; one at 12:00PM EST, one at 1:30PM EST, and one at 3:00PM EST. You will need to fill out an application for each show, though. So, if you don't get picked for the first show, you'll have to get back in line to apply for the second show, and so on and so forth. You're only there for the whole time if you stay for all three shows. You don't have to be there for all three shows, especially if you get picked during the first or second show. If you intend to stay for all three shows, then be prepared to make it an all day affair. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you! - acwof

After seeing the crowds in previous Wheelmobile events, I would definitely get there EARLY. I remember in Iowa they were lining up at 4 in the morning, when the event started at 1. IF you care about getting near the front, I would very much plan to go early. If you could care less and just want the experience, go about an hour or so before, depending on how you think the crowd will be..... It is awesome to be at an event, even more so in the front row, it's more exciting and really gets you in the spirit.

Does everyone from the same Wheelmobile event get called to the same final auditions (if they are selected)? For example, if someone from Baltimore’s Wheelmobile event got an email to come to a final audition and I did not, should I give up hope? They said we would hear in about a month, but I’m hearing of people being invited sooner.

Invites from Wheelmobile events usually go out around the same time. As a last-ditch effort, try applying online with a video. Invites sent to online applicants are sent separately.

We went to the Wheelmobile event but didn't get our names drawn so were thinking of making an audition tape but wondering if it's too late!

^ Do it anyway! Even if it is too late (which I don't think it is), they can always scope you out for the next time there are auditions in the area. Depending on where in the area you are, they may even consider you for auditions in New York City where they usually do final auditions at least twice a year.
